I love Willson, but honestly I think the team needs to suspend him for this one regardless of whether mlb does or not. Way too strong a reaction for the situation and hitting your coach in the face with a bat just isn’t acceptable. Sure he didn’t mean to hit him, but he meant to hit somebody.
Mo probably had someone pick up the Hi-Chew to save it for the rest of the season. Wouldn’t want to waste it. He doesn’t pay for pitching, might as well save the candy.

So Cardinals season is a complete bust, us fans knew this before the season started, and they are winning the game. Makes total sense. NOT. Maybe if they had a competent manager and not Moz’s yes man they’d play meaningful baseball in August. I can’t wait for them both to GTFO of St. Louis.
Contreras’s act is really wearing thin. I appreciate fire and competitiveness but I also really prefer someone who isn’t so emotional that they are unable to control them so frequently.
It’s a shame this happened to overshadow what was a really wonderfully exciting game to attend. I had a blast. So did Burly
