  1. The SAP Center has truly been a unique hockey arena but more than just that it also serves as a indoor/arena football field as well because of two arena football franchises, one late and one current, the San Jose SaberCats and the Bay Area Panthers

  2. Great news, i do hope i get to see the sharks at SAP one day been a UK fan for the past roughly 30years it has always been hard to follow the games being overseas and the limited reach the NHL has here but i am glad it has been getting easier over the past few years to actually watch games live. Unfortunately that means being up at around 3am for most of the watchable games πŸ˜‚. Still listen on the sharks radio when i can though

  3. Would love a video either in this channel or on your personal one where you break down the history of SAP Center and the growth of the surrounding areas. My dad loves to talk about how before SAP, the area was really a bad neighborhood and it has transformed into a vibrant spot since, so it feels like a good time to look back at what used to be for those who are unaware.

Also what is to come, like the future BART station and more information on what was mentioned a couple months ago about developing the area around SAP.

  4. Those "districts" are a waste unless the arena has another second tenant that has crowds of 10K plus 40 nights year. And My God that arena is going to be PRICEY for fans, because I can guarantee you YOU will be paying for it via $30 beers and $50 parking.

  5. As a former A's fan and current Raiders fan, I'm thrilled that my new fandom of the Sharks has been rewarded with at least one of my teams sticking around long term. Let's go Sharks!

  6. As a tax payer, I'm totally fine with this. I get that many of the upgrades won't even be visible to average fans like me (infrastructure stuff)
Just make the fan experience fresh and maybe add a "Jumbo" statue (not a plaque on a wall) for being the first Shark in the hockey hall of fame.

  7. One of the most interesting takeaways from my end is that the San Jose city council recognized that the Sharks are a partner to the city of San Jose and have been good stewards of SAP center. The city is contributing a good about of tax payer dollars but it is WAY more fair than some of the other demands sports teams have been making in the last decade.

  8. That is very good for the San Jose Sharks. The SAP stadium is getting an upgrade. I remember I saw Taylor Swift back in 2011 when she was very young at the SAP Center. Its a great stadium.

  9. As someone who lives between Oakland and San Jose, with the A's gone, I have no reason to visit Oakland and spend my money there, with the Sharks staying I can comfortably go and spend my money there instead. Good on San Jose

  10. Hey Brodie,
This is great news. I am so pleased that the Sharks and San Jose have been able to come up with a long term plan for the team to remain in San Jose. I look forward to seeing the upgrades for the Tank but, really I am just pleased that the Sharks are staying here.
