  1. Several thoughts:
    1. I truly hope that The Bills do NOT "need" Poyer to play — he knows our defense, BUT he has lost a couple of steps and can be an additional "liability" at times by taking dumb penalties. His greatest contributions will be in mentoring and "coaching up" our young safeties.
    2. That said, apart from last year's dirty hit on Keon Coleman (which sent Coleman's season careening south), I have tremendous respect for how Poyer put the team first and "laid it all on the line" for the Bills several years ago when he DROVE to/from KC for a pivotal game against the hated Chiefs and PLAYED HURT to help the Bills secure a huge win. I "think" he had sustained a couple of broken ribs against the Ravens in Baltimore when he sealed that critical win with a late interception of Lamar Jackson in the end zone, and he was medically prohibited from flying (to/from KC on the team charter) because of the broken ribs and the painful pressure changes at different altitudes. Any player would have been well within his rights to "sit out" the game(s) until his ribs healed, and most lesser players would have rested … but Poyer knew how important the game was and he sucked up the pain and inconvenience to drive to KC and play. IMO, that is his hallmark and was his finest hour as a Bill.
    3. I hope that, when Poyer's career is over, both he and Micah Hyde will have their names and #21 and #23 (respectively) simultaneously added to the Bills' wall of fame/ring of honor during the same ceremony … they deserve to go up together because they were a terrific safety tandem.

  2. Jordan might be happy to be back in Buffalo, but remember his wife was on Instagram whining about Buffalo and the money that Jordan wasn't getting. That left a bad taste in the mouth.

  3. Buffalo has been my team for four decades now. The SB losses hurt, but I’ve started to enjoy just watching these guys play together. A SB win will be a bonus this year.
