Brewers have the highest slugging percentage from the all star break.
No contest, always HR!
You just need one swing to score a run! As for the other play style, you need three players to have three good play to score one run!! In post season, elite pitching will not allow you to do that !
So no comparison, HR always beat small ball, especially in post season!!!
Oh one more thing, small market team can’t afford good HR players, so they have no choice but to go small ball way!
Small ball can win in the post-season if it's accompanied with good pitching. The Brewers have scored more runs than anyone. Score more runs and pitch well, it doesn't make any difference how you get those runs–small ball or HR.
