  1. just a long awaited and much needed off loading of assets for picks plus some lottery luck thrown in. should have got something for 21 at tdl. should get something for 44, 27 by tdl. probably for more picks. would prefer young nhl ready talent.
    isles could keep schaefer for a few games look, let him go back to ohl to play in wjc at new year, then schaefer can get in on some playoff action that he missed last playoff.
    77 sneaky pete could score. last isle 50 g 100 pt. scorer. not only did 77 score the late g in gm. 6 that finished off caps in '93 first round (fk dale hunter) remember the big ot g vs. rags in '93 that effectively knocked rags out of playoffs and secured a spot for isles? i wonder if isles will ever find a scorer like sneaky pete ever again since organization is allergic to guys that can score g's.
