1. They might luck into it, but I don’t see much of a strategy that is long term viable, until we get an ownership that invests in top scouting and player development and is actually ok with drafting long term prospects like the dozen they passed on this past draft, they’ll never have that foundation. Outside of Pittsburgh we have the worst ownership MLB and it’s not even close.

2. Arte spends enough money… I don't expect a Walter(Dodgers) or a Cohen(Mets)… I'm not that entitled. Where he spends his money is the problem. Signing Trout to a long term extension was almost unanamously applauded. And I was not alone in being in favor of his signing a (then) 29 year old Anthony Rendon to a 7 year deal… he'd averaged 145 games a season the previous 5 years and was in his prime. Both deals haven't worked out, but I don't blame Arte. What I do criticize him is in his poor hiring decisions. Arte was just fine when he still had Stoneman, but he made a huge miscalcualtion when he went with Reagins. DiPoto was a good/bad hiring, but when he clashed with Scioscia, Arte had to choose Mike. Eppler was a snake, and Minasian is just an ass kisser that enables Arte's worst instincts . But I still believe that a good GM could change things.

3. I am in your camp. Moreno has spent huge sums, aside from whether the Trout, Rendon, or even Pujols signings were wise. Many day the team has plenty leftover to spend. This is the fan mentality. Mets and Yankees fans still complain regardless of payroll. There's more available.

4. If we had a hitter in the 3 hole(yes, looking at you Mike Trout) that can produce and not strike out all the time, then maybe we can have a chance in the future.

5. Smoke n mirrors hopefully next year we bring up some young guys making waves rio raudi Nelson denzer Sammy choban southard bremmner johnson cortez etc etc im tired of ward moancada lui definitely gotta improve at catcher

6. Most teams are successful bringing up young players look at how caminero is doing look at kurtz we gotta stop

7. LOA, Thank you Mike and Jon. This is going to be a very pivotal off season. All thr way around, GMPM, coaching staff, trades, basically all roster moves.

   I am looking forward to it. You both I feel will have a lot to talk about. Unless we stay status quo. Have a great Labor Day.

9. Anthony Rendon will have a lights out year if he’s healthy. He would be playing for his careers life. He would need to have a really good year to be on anyone’s radar to continue playing. All of this obviously is contingent on if he really wants to play anymore, but his back is literally up against the wall and has to perform.

10. Ownership needs to have a baseball mentality first, Arte is clearly not that.

12. St Louis recently set a record for low attendance at their current stadium, and they're only a couple games under .500. St Louis is a great baseball town with one of the best fan bases in the sport… this is how a fanbase should react to a subpar product. Halo fans must send a message to ownership!!
