Texas Rangers vs Oakland Athletics Predictions Today | Best MLB Picks For 8/29/25

I’m back covering Major League Baseball here on Wager Talk TV. In today’s video, I’m going to give you the winning side in the game between the Texas Rangers and the Athletics currently of Sacramento. The Athletics will be a moneyline favorite minus 125. The total sits at 10. There are some 10 and a halfs on the board. And with temperatures above 90 degrees in Sacramento in that AAA park, we could see another high-scoring game. We did see a high-scoring game yesterday. The Rangers beat the LA Angels by a score of 20-3. Uh they’ve won five of their last six overall. The majority of those wins have come at home, though, and the Rangers will send Jack Lighter to the mound. He’s eight and seven with a 3.81 ERA and a 1.31 whip. His numbers on the road though, not quite as good. He’s two and five with a 4.81 erra in 11 road starts. And the Rangers, they’ve lost nine of their last 10 when Jack Lighter starts on the road. The Rangers will also be without Corey Seager for the next little while. He’s got appendicitis. We don’t know when he’s going to be back with the team. They ranked sixth in the major leagues in scoring since the All-Star break, averaging roughly five and a half runs per game. They send Jeffrey Springs to the mound. He’s 10 and8 with a 4.14 4.15 erra which doesn’t sound that great but his whip of 1.18 is a little more encouraging. He has faced Texas once this year. He tossed six scoreless innings in a victory. The Texas lineup hasn’t seen a lot of springs but over a combined 43 at bats. They’re hitting well below the Mendoza line 186. Uh the problem with the athletics though is their bullpen really stinks. They rank 27th in the majors with an erra of 4.77 among relief pitchers. And Texas on the other hand, they have a fantastic bullpen. They rank sixth in the majors with a team ERA of 3.63 among relievers. We want to stay away from this Texas bullpen.
