Los Angeles Angels vs Houston Astros – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 29, 2025 MLB Season
No other division is near that. 18 is the next closest in the AL East. And he tried to hold off on a high fast ball and goes down again. Nine strikeout. Now 0 for13 in his career against Javi. It’s amazing. First game of this home stand for Yiner after being hit by a fast ball by Craig Kimell in Baltimore. There’s a fly ball to center that Dubon takes care of. So they’re two out this inning for Christian. That ball hit popped up behind third base. Easy play for Carlos Kareah. And Javier works around a leadoff walk to get the next three hitters. H Anderson ahead one and two as Pñena battles here with two strikes and sends this one to center field. Theodosio has plenty of room out there and makes the catch for the first out. [Applause] Got in on him and Yordan maybe his softest contact since coming off the IIL. Sends one into center field for the second out. 86 and a half. Koreah does have a three for1 mark against Anderson including a double coming into tonight and sends this one high in the air to center field going all the way back to Yodosio near the wall and he’ll make a jumping catch and back into the wall. Got him with a fast ball as the Astros pick up their second strike out for Christian Javier. Went away in the inning. Catcher sends one in the air on the first pitch. Jose Altuve all by himself in the middle of the diamond. Pñena will pull an Altuve and pretend to try and catch the popup. There’s two away. Swing and a miss. Javier picking up a strike out of Christian Moore. Starts the inning and ends the inning with a strikeout. He’s got three in the game. Hitting 20 or more home runs. Skies the 1-1 pitch from Tyler Anderson on the infield. The first baseman Cavodus makes the play. That ball hits the center field. Hit pretty well. Back goes Teodosio watching it. It’s off the base of the wall. Jesus Sanchez into second base. He has himself a double. That one into center. Playable for Bryce Teodosio. He’ll put it away for the second out. Cam on the ground to third. Gobbled up by Monata. his throw across in time and that’ll do it for the Astros in the second. A double for Sanchez. One man left on base. We’re scoreless after two. And there is one right down the middle. Cavus expecting something else. Called out on a third strike for Christian playing his 23rd game on the season. Skies this one into shallow left. Out goes Pñena. In comes Sanchez. Pñena with the call and he puts it away for the second out. That ball hit to left back on it. Sanchez looking for the wall and he makes the catch in front of the out of town scoreboard for the final out of the inning. That ball hit into left center field. That’ll be down for a hit. Pñena’s thinking about two. Taylor Ward with the throw and Pñena in there safely with a double in left field. Ward is there and he puts it away for the final out of the inning. So a double, one man left on base. We are through three scoreless. Ward sends one to right coming on. Cam Smith makes the catch trying to double up Trout, but that’ll be not in time as Trout’s able to get back on the line out by Ward. Nice popped up shallow left. Pñena out. Sanchez in. It’s Jesus Sanchez who puts it away for the final out of the inning. Walker line drive base hit to left. The Astros have the first two base runners on here in the fourth. That’s a four pitch walk and the bases are loaded. So Anderson has walked two in the inning. Yiner hits one to third. They’re going to step on the bag and throw home and get a tag out. That’ll be a double play. They get the two lead runners. Anderson works around. Base is loaded. Nobody out with a double play and a strikeout to end the fourth. Oh, sends this one down the line and left. Giving it a look is Sanchez as he will make the catch in foul territory. Right on the line there in the outfield. Owens pop foul. Giving it a look. Christian Walker. And yeah, yes, he did. Yes, he did. Right by John Rooney. And also, who was over there? Maybe Chaz. Call third strike. He dropped in a beautiful curveball to end the inning. The Astros pick up. Pñena lines one to short. Duban’s going to have to hustle back and just barely beats the throw by Neto. pops this one up again. This one in fair territory. Zack Neto out. Taylor Ward in. It’s Ward making the catch for out number two. Duban on second. Yordon Alvarez on first and a chopper right to the second baseman. Moore. He’ll make the throw to first in time. The Astros strand two more. They have left four on the last two innings and seven on through five. Brian Abrau has pitched two days in a row. That ball shot into left center field. The Angels have their first hit of the day. It’s a double by Yawan Manata off the wall in left center. Manata sends one. [Applause] Dell shoots one to right. That’ll be down for a hit. Monata is being held at third. Cam Smith’s throw comes all the way through. Backto back base hits for the Angels after they had no hits in the first six innings. That one’s popped into shallow right with Cam Smith’s arm. This might not be deep enough for Monata. He makes the catch and Porter holding him up and Cam makes a strong throw right to the cut off man for out number one. Big out. Got him. Big strike out for Enel Delis Santos. He dotted up a fast ball there. Kavadish drills one into right center field sending Cam Smith back towards the wall. Cam will reach up and make the play right in front of the wall front runninging the Astros bull pen. And there’s a ball into center, but it’s playable. And Bryce Teodosio makes the catch on the line drive. Pñena frustrated as you can see as he carries his bat and slams it at first base. Pretty good swing for an out. There’s a ball in the right field. That’ll be down for a hit. Yordon being waved around. Joe Adell will not make a throw in time. Astros get that run thanks to Carlos Koreah and that’s a 98 mph fast ball for a called third strike. Got in on Yiner as he pops one up. Yawan Manata in foul territory puts it away for the final out of the inning. There goes the runner. The pitch is wide and the throw is not quite in time. Ranhipo in with a head first slide and the count’s now full on Neto now in scoring position and he tried to hold up but he goes too far. Neto wanted an appeal to first. He’s upset Cara Paza called it himself. That’s a strike out for the first out of the inning. Yep. Third strike top rail. Okay. Craig Kimbell dots one up on Mike Trout. Two outs of the inning. And that’ll be a walk. Three walks in the inning into center. Back goes Dubon. Looks like he has room. He does. And the Astros will strand the bases loaded. Caleb Ort Dubon to Bunt pushes the bunt near the mound. Zephr John’s throw in time. Cam Smith moves into scoring position. So, here is Jeremy Payne trying to add to this one- nothing lead. Sharply hit past Neto. Cam had to go back to second because it was a potential line drive out, but Cam gets himself to third. Pñena on a line drive that eats up Zack Neto on base now. First and third with one out. That’s popped into left. Is it deep enough? Taylor Ward back. Cam Smith. Now Ward coming in. Cam’s going to test the arm. Here comes the throw. He’s safe. Two nothing Astros. Yordon Alvarez the sack fly. He’s more of a long guy out of the pen. Altuve sends one to right but there shaded towards right towards the line is Luis Renipo and he puts it away for the final out. Little half swing towards short. Charged by Pñena. His throw in time to get the angel catcher for the first out. One and two to Christian Moore. He got him. Two outs in the inning. Caleb or striking out Christian Moore. Got him. Astros win it two to nothing. A four pitcher combined shut out led by Christian Javier with six no hit innings. Kale Bour with his second career save, his first as an Astro.
