Los Angeles Angels vs Houston Astros – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 30, 2025 MLB Season
It’s been a rainy afternoon here in downtown Houston, but fans rolling in to Dyken Park getting ready for game five of this 10game home stand. Astros 15 games over 500, having won three in a row and their lead in the ALS is now three. The Angels currently in last place in the ALS just 10 games under 500. Zack Netto will lead things off for Ray Montgomery, the interim manager for the Angels as he fouls the first pitch and Spencer has an 01 count to start. With Julia earlier having Yordon in there, you got higher expectations for the offense, but a great start for Eric Getty getting that sweeper over for the called third. Play a little bit more off the plate. This ball into center sending Mauricio Duban back. Looks like he has it lined up. He does. Onata sends one to the track in center, but he’s out number two. Check swing, broken bat, and Christian Walker is there. That’s how things go for Mike Trout here at Dyken Park, hitting under 200 in his career. And a chopper with Pñena speed. Neto has to hurry and he does. Good play by the Angel short to get Pñena. Oh hey. Oh, we said Hrix doesn’t throw hard, but that still hurts. And they’re going to check on Alt as he is hit on the left hand, maybe near the left wrist in Anaheim on June 22nd. Kareah misses the fast ball. And that’s the first strikeout for Hendricks. Only his 88th strike first time he faced him. On the ground, right side to his left is Ranipo. He’ll make the throw in time to get Sanchez to end the inning. Okay, swing a miss. There’s that chase pitch that Spencer said was missing last start. And that’s a fast ball right down the middle. Spencer after sweeping one off the plate against Ward. Runner goes. The pitch is swung on. Tried to hold up, but Oh goes too far. Spencer strikes out three in the inning and he sends one back to the mound. Hrix snags it on a hop and underhands it to first and that’ll be the first out of the inning. Yiner sends one into right center field and that is going to be down for a hit. It bounces off the wall in right center. Yiner is going to have a one out double and they start out this year with a win at home against Alabama. This one a half swing and Neto’s going to make the play and it’s a low throw and picked. This one’s popped into the infield. Curricio Duvan. Zach Neto puts it away for the final out. That’s a called third strike. Things are going good. He’s able to use both the four seam fast and two seam fast ball and it’s nice to get some quick easy outs. Yeah, Bryce Teodosio thinking about a bunt there on the This ball hit high and deep to left. If it stays fair, it’s one- nothing Angels. And it does stay fair. Just fair down the left field line. Neto hits his second home run against Eric Getty. Those were the only two runs Spencer allowed against the Angels in his start against them last year. And Neto connects to make it one- nothing. Angels didn’t have a hit last night till the seventh inning. Spencer comes back with a strikeout. Now number six, a new season high for Ericetti. Tagging at second is Pena on that fly ball to right. And that’s the second out of the inning. Now runners on first to third. There goes Alt and the pitch is tapped towards the middle of the diamond. Backhand play is not made by Ren Heo and the Astros tie the game. Thought that was Zach Neto’s ball. He had more of a momentum going towards first base. Reno had to go come in, cut him off and tried to make the throw against him. You could see Zack Neto’s reaction. He felt the same way. Foul tip caught by Logan O’Hy to end the inning. No, no, no, no. Just at home, right? Okay. Well, that’s where Spencer is, right? Just at home [Applause] two and0 though Taylor Ward as he slices this one. Long run for Cam Smith and he do it but he runs hard into the wall. Hopefully he’s okay. Cam had to make that catch in that little area on the field where there’s hardly any foul territory. Got him. Seven strikeouts for Eric Getty. He has ended the last three innings with a K. They’re doing a better job of kind of commanding the zone against Hendricks in this game. Giving a look is Adele and Joe Adele makes a nice play right on the screen and he taps this one off the plate. Mona the third baseman will make the throw to first. Sends this one to left. Taylor Ward towards left center makes the play for the final out of the inning hit. It’s a little chopper past Eric Getti. Carlos in a hurry and he’ll make a play to get Rano. Carlos really hustled after that chopping ground ball. Got him. Keeps going to that sweeper against. That’s now eight strikeouts for Spencer. Two outs in the inning. Bank Park on August the 28th. This one a broken bat. Caro will make the play. Teodosio out for out number three. Broke his bat. Slowly hit towards third. Monata goes to second for one. And they’re able to turn the double play on Altuve on the ground. Two hops to Luis Renipo. And Kareah is thrown out to end the inning. One hit. Sends that to right. Easy play for Cam Smith. And there’s one away here in the seventh. There goes Ranipo. Pitch is high. The throw is on the money. Safes the call. Looked like Yiner had him. But safe at second base is Reano with stolen base. Number eight on the year. His second in as many nights. Cold. Third strike. Gets the pinch hitter. Lugo looking for the second out into right center field. Dub Bond calls off Cam Smith and Brian King has done it again. King has inherited 16 runners this year. Tried to hold up on a pitch down and he goes too far. Duban strikes out on the ground. Short hop by Monata. Throws to second for one and they’re able to turn the double play on Pñena. Second time tonight the Astros have hit into a double play and Oak making quick work of Neto. A three- pitch strikeout to start the eighth. Tried to hold up. He goes too far. That’s a swinging strike for Trout into center field. Playable for Mauricio Dubon. Kimell gets the final out of the eighth as he gets Ward to sky out to now three for 10 since coming off the IIL. Hits this ball on the line to center. Joe Adell makes the catch. Jose down on strikes. Catcher O’Hapio will make the throw to first and that’s out number two. Astro warming but he was just standing there. Kareah goes down on strike. So the slider working to Altuve and Koreah. Two strikeouts to end the inning. Tried to hold up. That is a swing and that’ll be a strikeout for Abrau coming out of the pen. There’s hit number four. Oh, Hoppy singles in between Py and Kareah into left field. And now the Angels have two runners on with one out. That’s into right field. It will be down for a hit charging Cam Smith. Bo Porter puts up the stop sign. Cam almost had his seventh outfield assist. Had Porter hits this ball pretty deep to right field sending Cam Smith back. and he’ll make a No, he can’t make the play. One run’s going to score. They’re going to wave around another runner and the throw home is going to be not in time. Everybody else advances a base. Two-run score on that play. The Cam could not corral at the wall and right. It’s now a three to one Angels lead. It’s a strike out of Neto for the second out. Got him. And yell will strand the bases loaded and help out Brian Abrau. But the Angels got three on Abrau in the inning. It leaded four to one. Highfly ball deep left field. Taylor Ward near the corner of the out of town scoreboard. That’s popped up. Playable in foul territory. Oswald PZA puts it away. That ball drilled deep to left center field. Cam bidding for a home run and Adele makes a jumping catch at the wall to end the game. Cam Smith looking for his second home run of the home stand. Hit one about 400 ft to left

This loss I pin on the manager…
Cada vez que picha Ariguetti a los Astros les da por ser malos bateadores.
So lets get this straight, the player with the most hits in baseball history ( pete rose ) gets a lifetime ban for gambling . OK , why did they do that ? I know its a rule put in place after the White Sox scandal. Hell, MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL has an official gambling partner now. It's because they didn't want players or managers or anyone associated with MLB gambling to possibly influence the game because of money , ( classic cheating. ) Jose Altuve should of been banned from baseball for cheating the game. They all confessed to it. So Pete gambled, probably because he was a degenerate gambler, and he might of cheated the game because of it . But I doubt it. The houston @ss-troes all confessed to cheating, won the World Series, robbed Aaron Judge of the MVP that year and no players were penalized, none. That little foreigner should of been thrown out of baseball and deported, along with Correa, and all the rest of the foreigners that tried to wreck America's past time. And the Americans should of been banned too, Alex Bregman, Justin Verlander, Brian McCann, all of them cheated.
Man the Angels really decided to waste Mike Trout for a decade plus.
Astros relying too much on their pitching to win games. The offense we have should easily be averaging 5 runs per game and they're no where near that level – even with Correa, Sanchez, Urias, Pena, and now Yordan in the lineup. What's really troubling is that they're not struggling against elite-level pitching in the past 5 games – with all the pitchers they've faced so far having well over 5, 6, and 7+ ERA's so there's no excuse for our hitters to struggle this mightily against against bottom dwelling teams like the Rockies and Angels. Hope this offense can gel in time for the playoffs… when they'll be facing much more formidable pitching then. Thank goodness our team is in the worst division in baseball, with the 2nd place Mariners losing again and maintaining our 3 game edge in the standings… for now. GET IT TOGETHER ASTROS – YOU ALL MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!!!🤨
Zach Neto is going to be an all star
