Chicago Cubs vs Colorado Rockies (08-29-25) MLB Game Predictions, Picks and Best Bets

Bdub, let’s just go straight to Bdub because we got to get we know what’s coming and we just got to go to him first and get this going here. What do you think here? Cubs, Rockies. You know, the Rockies have been competitive. So, maybe the ebike thing is not going to happen. And uh by the line here today, I’ve I’ve got uh I’ve got the Rockies at value. In fact, on the card overnight, I put out the Rockies. I’ve done this a lot and not won a lot, but I put them out again. Colorado plus one and a half plus 16 on the on the card. I’ve got it priced at minus 163. And uh you know, they were super competitive, I think, in my watching because I’m following the Rockies every day. They were competitive against, you know, down at Dykin. Dyky Park is what they call it, formerly known as Minute Made against the Astros. And so Dykan D Astros ballpark. Yeah. But the problem with that for me is if you’re trying to scrape data off it really fouled me up because uh you it at one point it’s guarant or not guaranteed rate, it’s minute and then it switches over. So I was having problem. It really caused me. But anyway, that’s the name of it for Corby’s for Corby’s reference. Uh but but for for me, I’m I’m going to go take a take a flyer on the Rockies. You know, uh the Cubs, interestingly enough, in the month of August, they’re down in the bottom five weighted runs created. Plus, I I think the talent’s a little bit better than that. Uh but hopefully, you know, Hermon has not been very good, but hopefully he will be the man tonight. And we’re going to go with the Rockies. Plus one plus one and a half. Kyle sitt waiting for that. Like, what the hell? Why is it taking so long? Corby, what do you think in this one? Korsfield, uh Marquez hasn’t pitched in about a month. I think his last start was uh July 20th, so he’s been trying to get healthy. Gets a start at home. What do we think? Here comes Rockies. Yeah. Hopefully, um he’s not the man for my sake. Listen, this is a this is a simple handicap. All right, I won’t make it harder than it has to be. Um who have we talked about for like the last couple weeks? Who have we watched just soar up every futures board? And then what is the oldest statement of the test of time in um in investing? That would be what is it? High low, sell high. Yep. There you go. Base winner. Kate Horton selling on. I like the idea. This is kind of an emotional hedge. I did bet some Kate Horton rookie of the year when Kenny was telling us on the 27th. So, it’s an emotional hedge. He talked about this is going to be the toughest game he had like to go to Colorado. Like I don’t think that you get your flowers if you do good and I think you get uh talked down on if you give up a lot of runs to the Rockies. So kind of in the same uh idea as base winner. I’m going to take the o over here. I think I got an 11 minus 110. Uh I don’t think Herman is the man. Unless he can take as much time as off as he wants. It’s fine. Uh inevitably I think Kate Horton regresses a little bit and I’m hoping it’s this game. So give me the over here. Over 11 at minus 110. Uh Scott D brings up a pretty interesting debate actually in the chat box. Which is better, Sunny Delight or Minuteade orange juice? You go with the artificial Sunny D or you going with the Minute Made? Minute. What do you think? Yeah, Minuteade. You guys don’t like the Sunny D. I think they make it with like I don’t know if Corby’s not not doing this, but seed oil. Seed oil is the new smoking. So, I think they probably make it with a good portion of seed oil, which you probably don’t want to put in your system. I just smoke seed oil and then you’re good. What is happening? I don’t know if Corby’s really into that health, but that’s the whole that’s that’s the that’s the new uh cigarettes is seed oil. Wait, Sunny D has a hard selzer. That does sound gas. I’m kind of down with that. It’s actually I will say it’s actually it’s actually quite okay. I’ve never had it. I’ve never It’s a little It’s a little too like It’s a little too fake sugary. Like you get tired after about three, but those first three they they’ll get you to the right spot for sure. Sunny D. Okay, I might go golfing today. I might have to pound some of those down at the course. See what happens under the tea box. That’s incorrect. That’s And listen, no matter what anybody tells you, like you could you could hear these new drinks. It doesn’t matter. Golf course transfusion. Nothing else. That’s the only answer on on a golf course. I actually my my drink there is uh it’s uh ginger ale. It’s Jameson and ginger ale is my uh golf drink. Jamerson and ginger. Get started. Alcohol free. Jameson. Do you not anymore? I mean, yeah, once in a while, but yeah, Jameson is I took a shot and threw it up instantly uh last weekend. Like instantly instantly threw it up. Again, purposes of the show, we’re locking in for Corby here 0 for 11 runs and we’re going to take that at minus 110. I’m surprised. I didn’t expect all of the uh Sunny Delight hate, quite frankly.
