Miami Marlins vs New York Mets – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 31, 2025 MLB Season
Xavier Edwards leads off two for 14 in the series. Sanga’s first pitch. A fast ball in for a strike and we’re underway. And he strikes out Edwards with the fork ball for the first out of the day again. Ramirez dancing off first, not going and it’s driven out to center. That’ll get a run in. Back goes Mullins to make the grab. Tagging at third is Marcy. He’ll come in with the first run of the game. And they’re having a good series here. Grounded on the right side. Nice easy hop from McNeel to handle that. Retires the side, but the Marlin game, you know. 2-1, one two coming. Fly ball out to left field. Hernandez got a late start back on the warning track. He makes the catch. 35 home runs. Second and on base percentage. And he pops one up. Long run for the third baseman. Senoha coming back to catch it Ramirez. And Ramirez makes the grab. Nice play. Cloudy day and NMO cranks one to right but right at Leur who makes the catch side retired. 3-2 coming and he got him looking at a fast ball on the outside edge and Hernandez knew it and a steady diet of pork balls for Johnston and he is disposed of. Backto back strikeouts. got some contortions in the batters box and he goes down swinging on a fast ball. So, Kadai Senoa strikes out the side in the second inning and he goes upstairs with the fast ball to get Alonzo for his first strikeout. Mark Bentos on deck and McNeel hooks one down the right field line that’s going to go into the corner for extra bases. And McNeel hustling to second. Slides in safely ahead of a throw by Weame. One of the four home runs the Mets hit yesterday. That’s pulled on the ground to third. Handled by Senoha. Throws harder from third than he does from the mound. Two out. Unbelievable. Grounded down to first base. Handled there by Hicks. And that retires the side. Started this year about half the game. Chopped past the mound. In comes Batty to get it and throws him out. One away. Last year in Milwaukee worked just fine. Chopped to shortstop. Another big hop this one to Lind Hill. Two out backwards. That’s the look but not with the adjustable strap. I saw one with adjustable strap. Really? That’s it toward the gap in right center and it’s going to go all the way back to the wall. Marcy can fly. He’s to second. He’ll stop there as Mullins gets it in. So, Jacob Marcy with a two out double. Big power threat and he drives this one to deep left field. Back goes NMO. Takes a look and it’s out of here. Augustine Ramirez with his 19th home run of the year. A laser beam and a swing and a miss and a fast ball. So, Sanga finishes the inning with a strike out, but not for which the Mets got to see firsthand. Swing and a miss and Holens is down on strikes. They surprised everybody the last two months by going on a tear after they had conceded at the deadline. Senoha throws out Sanger in their two out. Big jump and he’s going. The throw by Ramirez. Not close. And now it’s 31 for 31. The door’s 26th of the year. And one hits one in the air to right field. Back goes Weame shaving his eyes at the warning track and jumps and makes the catch. See the ball through his sunglasses and the sun. Liam Hicks drives one toward the left field line and that lands fair. Played off the sidewall by NMO. Hicks to second and he slides in safely with a double and had a good solid season. Taken the other way. A base hit for Hernandez on a three- 0 pitch and that’ll score Hicks. Arber Berto Hernandez aggressively going after 3 and 0 and makes it four nothing Miami pulled to first stepping on the bag Alonzo now they’ve got the run down and a lot and Lindor will make the tag on Triple A and when the September callups happen um I just uh a lot of two or three pitchers as McNeel makes the play really focused on um putting the ball in play. Making sure they aren’t late on the fast ball as he’s late on the fast ball. Four nothing. Seems like a a mountain. Grounded toward the hole. Backhanded by Lopez and he throws out Alonzo. Two out. Ninth pitch to McNeel and he guls one in the air on the left side into foul territory. Senoha and he gets there to make the catch. Javier Senoha leads off. Corners are in and he pulls one past the corner and down the left field line. Nemo chases it in the corner and Senoha pulls into second base with a leadoff double. Corners are in against him and he does drop a punt. It’s a beauty. Batty’s throw to first base is wide and it goes down the line. In the score comes Edwards goes to second. 5 nothing Miami. But McNeel was at fault there for not being there. Jacob Marcy flies one out to left and NMO edges toward the line and makes the grab for the first out here. Swing and a miss. Got him with a fork ball. And so that’s strikeout number six for Sanga. After missing most of last season, he got off to such a brilliant start this year. Grounded down to first. Alonzo handles. Wadell goes over to cover and that retires the side. They’re thinking I can see. Yes. Uh right-hander, right? Yes. Yes. So, one game six in Yankee Stadium. Nope. No. Walking. And he would love as you see Batty go down on the good hard slider. Oh, and two to Mullins and he drives one out toward left center field. Back in the gap goes Marcy on the run and he makes the catch. Marcy’s got terrific and can pull within four of the Mets unless the Mets can rally. Johnston flies one to deep right but playable for Sodto. Wind blowing it back in. Well, Sodto knows about that win because he probably was cost a home run. Big lead at first for Hernandez. Not going and Weaver takes strike three called. Slider got him looking. First strike out for Wadell. Lonzo still holding him on and Senoha swings and misses at the slider and Wadell with back-to-back strikeouts finishes off the top of the sixth with over 100 RBI’s and in the 125 year history of the organization as Hayden Sanger grounds out. Human highlight film each and every day in left field. The door shoots one on the backand of Edwards who makes another nice play. That’s two in a row for Edwards. Sodto takes off for third. the pitch outside and Sodto steals third base. See, now he got a stolen base and Alonzo hits a ground ball to short and Lopez makes the flip to retire the side. So, a split second of Williamsburg of the old domino building. Fly ball out to right. Coming toward the line is Sodto shading his eyes and makes the grab. One out scoring four or more runs. That’s the most in the majors. Fly ball out to right and Sodto’s right there and Morsy tags. He’s going to fly for third. The throw by Sodto is cut off. Batty hits one on the ground. Pass Hicks. Grabbed by Edwards. Has to go to second. Gets the force there. Pillars this year. [Applause] Grounded on the right side. Edwards goes to second. Gets the fourth there. No chance for the relay as a Net’s first run comes home. And Marte takes strike three called. And so Alcantra limits the damage to one run. Pier Fish, right? And then there’s there’s strike three called. There are some people Joe was standing up. There’s a ground ball to short. I I think I much rather be sitting down. So I I’ll take the rowboat in the middle of the lake. And Lindor goes down. swinging on a high cutter and Foscher has a strike out to start his inning. Driven toward the gap in left center cutting across his Mesa but he watches it hit off the base of the wall and Brandon Nemo has his sixth extra base hit in. And the curveball line but right at Edwards and that retires the side. The pitcher of the day for the Mets, Javier Senoha lifts one out to left center. Cedric Mullins catches it. A decision on him. Augustine Ramirez. It’s a double play ball. Batty to McNeel and on to first. And so Brandon Wadell saved the regular guys. That’s pulled down to first handled by Hicks and he’ll take it to the bag. Another hard hit ball by McNeel but right to Hicks for the first down. Three and two and Batty goes down swinging on a high fast ball. Looked like he chased ball four. And the Mets are down. And Mullen hits a ground ball right to Lopez. He’ll take it to the bag. And the Marlins for the first time in five years win a series at City Field.

El senga piche es regalar un juego
JFC – 3 out of 4 to the Marlins???
GO FISH!!!!!!!
Alcantra was looking like the Cy award winner today. But yo Mets we played well against Philly and we do what against Miami, π
At this rate the Mets will be lucky to even get a wild card spot.
Haha Mets Trash and overrated π
Every game Mullins plays we lose bench him indefinitely
Still can't beat the Marlins. Season over.
I can't wait till Mendoza is fired! He keeps changing his batting lineup orders. I've never seen any team find success with such nonsense.
Can someone explain why at 5:15 Alonso was running towards the bunt that was heading to third base? Was he supposed to? Is that a baseball thing?
Los pitches de los Metz son una mierda la
As a Phillies fan this drives me nuts. Totally dominate us all year then go suck against the Marlins? Probably drives y'all nuts too!
Me to the Phillies – βSEE???β π
Painful to watch Mets
Phillies magic number to win the Division is 20. Any combination of Phillies wins and Mets losses equaling 20 means Mets cannot win the Division. If the Phils finish 10-17 at this point, then the Mets must finish better than 16-10.
