Shams Charania has posted the following on ESPN: Thanasis Antetokounmpo is signing a guaranteed one-year, $2.9 million deal to return to the Milwaukee Bucks, sources tell ESPN. Antetokounmpo played for Bucks from 2019-24. This also means after a summer of exploring options, Giannis is staying in Milwaukee to start the season.

  1. lmao at shams still stirring the pot/referencing his garbage reporting on giannis all summer.

    better luck next year!

  2. Thanasis: *can barely be serviceable for 10 minutes on the court on the Greek NT*

Bucks: “This is how we convince Giannis”

  3. Trump ‘I’m just now hearing this’ meme at Shams saying Giannis is staying.

Also Thanalysis Pod had the news first, Shams aggregating without credit.

  4. I get Shams isn’t a real journalist in the traditional sense as he really just reports contracts and trades but that last sentence should kill any air of journalistic integrity he has. He’s been pushing Giannis wanting out with literally no proof and to drive engagement.

  5. shams flew a little to close to the sun with the “craziest offseason” prediction after the luka trade hype, now hes doing anything to keep his engagement up lol

  6. Giannis keeping Thanasis in the league and LeBron getting bronny drafted with the 55th pick in the draft is the flirting v harassment meme for r/nba.

  7. What people like Shams just cannot comprehend is that, for Giannis and his immediate and extended family (his mother and his three younger brothers) Milwaukee is literally their home in the United States. He is extraordinarily famous for his devotion to his family, and Milwaukee is their home and the Bucks are the organization that worked with their owner at the time, Senator Herb Kohl, to bring the family over and legalize their status for the first time in the family history. The only family member of the eight or nine of them not “from” Milwaukee is his wife, who is originally from Fresno, in other words, not LA, Miami, or New York. He moved to Milwaukee when he was 18, and he is famously not all about the party lifestyle. Shams has no shame and no credibility on this story he is desperate to create. It is very clear how out of touch he is about Giannis as a person and he is treating him like an American born young star who wants the big market.

  8. People complaining about this just want to complain. Thanasis Antetokounmpo is qualified and good enough to be the 15th man on a roster. If it makes giannis happy and keeps him in Milwaukee who cares.
