We’ve got Sunday afternoon baseball here at Oracle Park. It’s the Giants in the Orioles. It’s the orange and black against the orange and black in the final game of the series on the hill. Today for the Giants will be the veteran Justin Verlander. Verlander 65, 240 pounder. He’s 42 years of age in his 20th year at the big league level and this is what the former three time Cy Young award winner has done this year. It will be holiday. Jackson and Henderson his motion the payoff pitch and it is high for ball four. So Holliday earns a walk from Verlander to start things off. Holliday on the move swinging to miss strike three, throw down a second not in time stolen base there for Jackson holiday. Now Gunner Henderson is a high pop up and it’s Chapman back to the lead and he takes it all by himself. He’s the cleanup hitter, Mount Castle hit a long two run homer yesterday. 32 and Verlander issues his second free pass here in his opening frame. This is Justin Verlander’s 550th career start and that will end the inning. Verlander pitches out of a little bit of a mess. Giants are coming up. Sano, 35 years old making his 26th start of the season and look for me. He has been everything. The Orioles hope that he would be 10 wins on the year. Here’s Ramos and it’ll float out to left center field long run in Cowser with a dive and he got it. Wow. Wow. He hit the accelerator and at the very final moment just took it off the blades of grass to make a fantastic defensive play. Here’s Devers Devers two for seven in the series drive to center field. Cows are back number 28 and it’s one nothing but he does it. The two strike count straight away center and it just would not come down. And that was pretty impressive. Just a liner 92nd RB I for Devers J are set up here leading one nothing and 1st and 3rd 1 out for Devers, but just one out and Sugano in a bit of trouble, Hardy down a run. Devers drives one and did he catch it? Nobody knows he did not. And coming in to score is Gilbert, the umpires caught it right away. Yeah, there you go. You see the one hop but it was a nice play just to be able to stop the ball from getting by him 1st and 3rd with just one out and a run in for San Francisco. Adam. He’s kind of in swing mode today. He struck out swinging his first time up center field in the park to Cowser. The catch the throw, the run score is Elliott Ramo Giants. A 30 lead is matt Chapman leads things off here in the home half of the fourth inning. Chapman and Chopper and it’s gonna lead through and just like that, they get Sano back in the stretch. Chapman takes off a with a bullet down to second and they got him. The kid has a cannon that was impressive. Killed. Oh, my goodness. What a hit. Oh my goodness. A three count. How about it? He takes Lowe ball four splitter. So after all that Bailey does draw the walk 1st and 2nd with one out and now christian costs will bat capper double clutch and a throw and it gets back. One run is going to score to third goes. Bailey Jeremiah Jackson threw it in the dirt and Mount Castle could not dig it out. Four giants still only one out. Here’s Gilbert get to left. Watson falls down one run scores good to score and the wheels have fallen off the Baltimore Orioles. He had a little trouble with the sun but he also had a lot of trouble with the turf. Here’s Ramos, a base hit to left field. How about that? Ramos knocks in Gilbert and the Giants have now scored four times here in the fourth. So Devers already two for two driven to right. That’s gonna be another hit. It’s off of the number two outs. Way, hold up for the third is Ramos de has his third hit. That’s going to be the last pitch that throws. There is Krout making his 14th appearance of the year. He has been very good. 1. 76. Er, a, how about the opponent’s batting average? Only one? 92. Two pounded into the ground. Tough hop handled by Jackson on the quick exchange in time to first to retire the Giants. Finally in the fourth inning Verlander with four strikeouts in a row. He’s got eight total one up to christian Koss Johnson for the second at bat in a row with good fastball right at the knees. That’s strikeout number nine. So two down and here is Mount Castle gets out of this inning and walks off the field. He’s going to be quite a round of they’re on their feet and he strikes out 10 and he is walking off the mound. Elliot Ramos today with a couple of singles, scored a run driven home, a run. Five. Devers needs a triple for the cycle. This is hit out on the ground the other way and everybody’s gonna be safe. Had to be an error. Right. Yeah, it ruled an error. E five Orioles really have not played a clean series defensively. Two down and here is Tom smith right hander Corbin Martín on the mound and the swing right base hit down the right field line coming around third Ramos. He’ll score and it’s eight to matt Chapman now and this one’s off his foot and this one hurt. Sometimes the best ball you hit will be the one off your foot. He is just in agony. Chapman trying to stay in this game. Chapman takes up and in ball four and he’s gonna track the first base with a very pronounced limp on the ground is short and an inning that won’t end for the right hander Corbin Martín Devers comes in to score everybody up 90 ft and it’s nine Bailey today. Zero for two with a walk that bump in a run. Tom Smith scores run number 10, 10 Orioles are going to throw out a position player. It’s alex Jackson Casey now down the line and a base hit 40 three mile an hour pitch coming around. Third is Adam, he’ll score trotting into third is Smith and it’s a double for Casey Schmidt and it is 11 to nothing. Giants swing and he hits a high drive into left over to his right at the edge of the warning track. Daniel Johnson makes the catch tagging up at third. Dom smith and he’ll come in to score and it is 12 to nothing. Giants, Gilbert drives one to right. It’s hit well and off the bricks. So stopping at third is Kohm comes in to score a three hit day for Drew Gilbert here’s the pitch squier out to the right side by Ramos. It’s picked up by holiday whose side arms to first Ramos is retired and the inning comes to an end 45th appearance on the year for spencer Bis three and three with a 4 to 1. That’s going to end the game and guess who gets a save Spencer Bivens? Yes, he does. And the Giants end up taking two out of three. They have a five and one home stand.
