ESPN: Minnesota Vikings 8.6 Projected Wins… 🤔
[Music] What’s going on, Jeromes? Ya ya ya ya ya ya. Football it is upon us. Minnesota fine Vikings a week from today. Uh take on the crooked Chicago Bears Soldier Field D. JJ McCarthy homecoming. All the story lines. It’s going to be great. But of course, ESPN the worldwide bleeder of readers, viewers, and subscribers did up a Vikings preview. And of course, just smidgen of hatred. Uh NFL team previews 2025. Blah blah blah blah blah. Uh for the Vikings. So interesting. Uh chances to make the playoffs 43.9%. Chances to win the division 19% and projected wins 8.6. Okay. Okay. Double it. Double mathematically can’t double it, but I don’t care. Hey, all the haters and the losers last year that predicted the Vikings uh would go over under six and a half wins. They had to pay out by late in the season. Go ahead. Go ahead. Strength of schedule, fifth hardest tie. What What does strength schedule even mean? Like most of these rosters have had significant turnover and every year is not the same and they they lose coaches, they lose players, they gain coaches, they gain players. So I I always think that strength of schedule from the previous year is really stupid, right? It doesn’t even count. Also, the schedule rotation, all that stuff. But 2024, record 14 and three. You know, the Rams game obviously is annoying, but I I still am pissed off about the Lions game week 18. Everything was on the line and everything was not going to be all right. Just after the game, Kevin McConnell was talking about Darnold’s mechanics and just everything was air air mill. like they had what was it like it seemed like four trips to the red zone they got zero points or they got three points one of the two not that I’m still bitter uh but ESPN says this biggest strength the Vikings use the value of quarterback JJ McCarthy’s rookie contract to assemble a talented and expensive rooster around him 10 of their projected 22 starters have been named at to at least one pro bowl three of them whom signed in March center Ryan Kelly along with defensive lineman Jonathan Allen and Javar Hargrave all told the Vikings have committed roughly 350 million dollars in cash to their 2025 roster. And that’s exactly what the plan has been. And Quy sees around the league and th this is what you do. You draft a quarterback high. McCarthy number 10 overall, highest drafted quarterback in team history. And you assemble the freaking Avengers around him on his rookie deal. That’s exactly what the Vikings are doing. Last year, they cleaned up cap space and you know, they’re taking dead cap hits on the chin. And now the free bird. Yeah. And just refortifying this offensive line, building up in the trenches, getting after things, you keeping key in-house free agents like Byron Murphy Jr. ressigning Josh Matelis as well as a Aon Jones and Josh Oliver extended. It’s beautiful. It’s really good stuff, man. Next, biggest concern. McCarthy is more of an unknown than a concern. A great unknown or a complete unknown like a Rolling Stone. Uh but his lack of experience, he became the first quarterback in the modern era to miss his entire rookie season because of injury after being drafted in the first round, is the biggest question on the team. He displayed moxy and precocious leadership skills during training camp, but also revealed a level of inaccuracy that the Vikings will hope to resolve itself as he settles into the role. Where where adante where and also it’s so weird, right? Because you know McCarthy is basically coming in as a rookie. obviously hasn’t played a regular season NFL game and like all the hype and the bluster that they give to rookie quarterbacks like I I don’t understand this or even like Mahomes uh in year two taking over for Alex Smith back in the day where where was all this concern and bluster it just feels like every single step of the way the media has been poo pooing JJ McCarthy and maybe it’s because of the whole aon Rogers narratives but I don’t I don’t know it’s okay comes surrounded by talent. Keep the keep the Lam the Lamborghini then. Just keep it straight down the fairway. Keep it on the road. Actually, don’t drive a car on the fairway because that means he probably had a couple too many. But keep it on the road. That’s all. 10 and two. That’s all he has to do. And the Vikings will have great success this year. A quarterback stat to know at 22 years old, McCarthy is expected to be the youngest quarterback to start in week one this season. Yes, he Yes, he is younger than Cam Ward, number one overall pick to the Titans. Assuming he starts, McCarth Assuming he starts, McCarthy will be the fourth quarterback over the past 20 years to make his first career start on Monday Night Football in week one. Darnell with the Jets in 2018. Worked out great. Rogers with the Packers 2008. Uh Philip Rivers with the Chades in 2006. All right, Bright Lights, Big City, bring it on. Homecoming for McCarthy as well. Uh how to win your fantasy league. McCarthy, the quarterback, returns after missing his entire rookie season due to a torn meniscus. Playing in coach Kevin McConnell’s quarterback friendly offense. McCarthy has a premier number one target in Justin Jefferson while tight end TJ Hawinson can open up the middle of the field. Plus McCarthy can create his legs uh create with his legs as a runner. He’s a late round sleeper in deeper leagues. Yes, 100%. Where you know stat passing stats are going to be passing stats, but I got a gut feeling that McCarthy is going to have a splattering of rushing yards as well as rushing touchdowns. I think that his mobility is going to be a huge weapon in the red zone. It’s going to be great. Uh bold prediction for 2025. Running back Jordan Mason will record at least 1100 rushing yards. He’ll split work with eight Aon Jones senior, but I expect Mason to lead the team in rushing attempts. He recorded 207 rushing yards uh rush yards over expectation last year in San Francisco. And I could see the passappy Vikings running a little more to support the rookie quarterback. Yes, I think that’s certainly fair, especially with this rebuilt offensive line. Okonnell and Wes Phillips have have talked profusively about wanting to run the ball more uh more effectively and efficiently. That’s that’s exactly what they’re g especially once CJ Ham gets back. Hammer time. Power down eye formation back in the day. Two tight end sets, 22 personnel. Let’s go. Let’s go, man. It’s going to be great. But I still can’t get over. So, they’re basically praising the Vikings in every every facet. And you know, McCarthy hits or if McCarthy is even average, Vikings will have success. But 8.6 wins. Okay. Well, they’re slobbering over the Bears and the Lions and the Packers as expected. But I don’t know. I see 8.6 wins by week 10. You know what I mean? Through the first nine games of the year. Ravens will be win number nine and feeling fine. It’s okay. How’d you like that cash at? How do you like to cash the over over eight and a half ticket uh by November 9th? Even though they don’t pay out till the end of the year. So stupid. But it it’s okay. It’s all right. It’s all right. She moves in mysterious ways. But ESPN, it’s okay. Just keep on with the the hatred. Keep on with the non objectiveness. Just keep on pushing your thumb down on the scale against the Vikings and for the Lions, Packers, and Bears. Oh my. Prove the haters and lo the haters and the losers shut up tour 2025 is in full effect. I love it, man. Anyways, that’s it. That’s it. Uh ESPN, the worldwide uh leader of readers, viewers, and subscribers uh predicted the Vikings 8.6 wins. Okay. Yeah. Let us know your thoughts comment section. You guys the best yo to do skull production value. Heat up.

I don't bet, but if I did, the Vikings would make me easy money this year with the betting lines
So…..
A .500 team. After a 14 win season and another top free agency signing season, the pundits predict 5-6 fewer wins.
Insane
So just like last yr ? So that means they winning 12-14 games this yr
So they're saying the Vikings will go over 8.5, but can't say 9 wins? Very non-committal for a Worldwide Bleeder of viewers like me. 🏈
Aren’t these the same “experts “ that said the Vikings would win 6 games last year? I couldn’t care less what they think.
At least ESPN is reliable. We can always count on them for a little hate
Grrrreat Success!
Andy, the beginning were you acting as Randy marsh playing Lorde?
Hope springs eternal in the Purple Nation. Most agree it’s a challenging schedule, and Kickoff week, away, Divisional game, MNF, QB with nary a rep in the pre-season, coming off a year of convalescence…It’s going to be drama. Week 1 isn’t the end all, be all, but it will tell a story.
Darnold seriously just pooped himself. The film review showed wide open streaking receivers all game long.
11-6 this year.
Who cares about espn? Lol.
