What is going on guys? Brad here for pits.com and I got a pick in this Rangers verse Diamondbacks game going down on Monday, September 1st, 2025. You will find all my plays there. But let’s get right into it, guys. We got the Texas Rangers headed into Arizona to play the Diamondbacks. Uh, the Rangers are finishing up a series against the Athletics on Sunday, whereas the Diamondbacks are finishing up a series against the Dodgers on Sunday. I will say both these teams have looked pretty damn solid as of late. I feel like both these teams actually had pretty high expectations coming into this season. Um, and have kind of been a disappointment, have kind of been a let down. And they’re they’re hot right now. Both these teams are hot, but let’s be real, guys. They’ve got hot at the wrong time. I mean, it’s a little bit too late at this point. Um, I think the Rangers may still have a shot to to maybe sneak in a wild card, but it’s going to be tough. It’s going to be tough. So, you know, when you look at the Rangers, um, they’ve won what, seven of their last 10. And then when you look at the Diamondbacks, they’ve won seven of their last 10 as well. So, both these teams are are kind of in similar form right now. When it comes to a pitching perspective, um, you got Patrick Corbin on the mound for the Rangers and Ryan Nelson on the mound for the Diamondbacks. It’s it’s pretty tough to to back Patrick Corbin right now. Um Patrick Corbin is a guy who, you know, kind of started the season off pretty decent. You know, after a miserable, terrible season last year, he actually looked decent this year, but he’s kind of looking like that old Patrick Corbin as of late. I mean, he’s one and four in his last five starts, and he has a 933 erra in his last five starts as well. Given up a lot of hard contact, um walking multiple batters in every game in his last five starts as well. It’s looking like old Patrick Corbin. It really is. And then on the other side, you got Ryan Nelson who has been one of the better, more reliable options for the Diamondbacks when you look at it from a whole season sample size. But I mean, as of late, he has a 471 RA in his last five. He’s given up three or more runs in each of his last three starts as well. This is tough, man. This is tough. My my immediate reaction was to take the Rangers in this game because do I want to lay minus 140 with Ryan Nlson? I don’t. I don’t. And also with the Diamondbacks, they’re they’re finishing up a series against the Dodgers. I typically like to fade teams after big series like that against the Dodgers or um or against the Yankees or when a team’s playing on Sunday Night Baseball. Usually that next series is a little bit sleepy for a lot of squads. I lean Rangers in this game if you want to pick a side. But the more I look into Patrick Corbin and how he’s looked as of late, I can’t do it. I can’t do it. So, I’m going to take the cop out. I’m going to take an over here. I’m going to take an over. I mean, this game’s being played at Chase Field. Both these lineups have been hitting the ball pretty damn well as of late. Um, I kind of want to fade both these starters. So, it’s an over spot for me. If you want to pick a side, I do lean Rangers, but I just don’t feel comfortable betting Patrick Corbin right now. It’s as simple as that.
