We’re going to need everybody’s support as we hit the stretch run here in September. It’s now September September 2nd today and it’s going to be a super fun month here for the Dodgers and yeah, we got to talk about the latest injury updates. We unfortunately we got some good news and we got some bad news, right? So, going to give you the bad news first. Uh talking about uh Maxy who suffered a setback. Unfortunately, the return has been most likely pushed back uh due to a setback. It’s no secret the Dodgers are eagerly winning the return of slugging third baseman Maxy. Um, you know, we definitely have missed Muny. Uh, this guy is a solid player. I mean, I know it’s it’s a contract here for Maxy, right? It’s still yet to be determined if we’re going to see Max next season with the boys in blue. Uh but you know his importance on this team is you know you can’t underestimate how much he has meant for the Dodgers in his career with the do you know with with us right you can’t you cannot un you know you can’t say this guy has not been important for us um and his absence has been missed especially his offense right I think Max has been missed and playing third base the guy’s done a great job playing the position his absence has been fell in several areas most notably in terms of manufacturing runs my presence lengthe thins the lineup considerably and his ability to get on base uh via the walk or slug makes him virtually indispensable, right? I mean, this guy, like I said, a solid player for the Dodgers. The All-Star was expected to return during the Dodgers upcoming road trip, which is starting tonight against the Pittsburgh Pirates. But Dave Roberts revealed that that timeline has now been pushed back after a minor setback unrelated to Muny’s injury. Mudy’s recovery from oblique pool is right on schedule. Uh but includes that the expectation we s the expectations he will soon take live at bats. However, um Muny is at home sick dealing with some head cold and sinus issues which of course is never a good thing. Uh Max Muny was sent home a few days ago due to illness. a head cold and sinus issues scheduled still scheduled to face velocity on which was of course yesterday but uh Dave Roberts said the next you know he still said it’s target but it’s looking like that is going to get pushed back due to this unfortunate you know uh like I said Max monthly dealing with this uh you know head cold sinus issues we know it’s definitely going around even in the summer uh but yeah it’s still yet to be known you know nothing is certain right this is still just sources kind of talking about when Max is coming back. We’re not going to see him against the Pirates. Um I assume uh Muny will be with the team. Um you know, like I take those live at bats on the road trip, but for him to start playing next Friday, I don’t know, especially with this issue with the cold, I don’t know if we’re going to see Muny really play uh next weekend. You know, you would hope that happens. Uh but definitely this has been a bit of a setback. But we also got some good news for sure on other fronts, right? And I’m talking about Michael Copek, Hassan Kim activated off the injury list is obviously big news. Yesterday the Dodgers activated Michael Copek and infielder Hassan Kim off the uh injury list as expected. You know, you can expand the rosters from 26 to 28. Isn’t that crazy how the rules have changed so much in Major League Baseball that you can now only expand from 26 to 28? I mean, it is a different game to say the least in Major League Baseball. I don’t know what everybody thinks out there. I don’t really like this at all. The uh idea that, you know, you can only expand from 26 to 28 now. Um, I mean, it’s ridiculous, right? What are they doing? I mean, this has taken away chances from young players from ever playing in Major League Baseball. I mean, how many players in baseball history got their one chance to play in baseball, you know, at the top at the highest level during the month of September? How many It’s It’s tons of guys, right? I mean, I could probably there’s probably at least 500,000 players. I mean, I can’t name them. I don’t have the stats in front of me, but it’s tons of players that benefited from the massive, you know, roster size expansion that used to happen. You know, guys couldn’t even find a place to sit in the dugout when games were going on in the month of September. I mean, it’s just ridiculous. I mean, I think it’s it’s taking away chances from young guys to get that chance, especially if you’re on a team that’s like the I don’t know, the Rockies who absolutely stink. I mean, why can’t they expand their rosters more? I mean, I think it’s ridiculous, right? I mean, I think baseball, it’s another one of the dumb rules that uh, you know, Mr. uh, Rob Manford has come up with uh, that, you know, it’s just ridiculous, right? So, yeah, of course, only can expand from 26 to 28. So, the Dodgers uh, took advantage of that. Um, of course, the Dodgers already made room last week with Buddy Kennedy getting designated. Don’t know if we’ll see Buddy come up again. Did a great job for us. you know, the best that he could, but I just don’t know if he’s actually ready for Major League Baseball at this point in his career. Still, I think he still needs some more time in the minor leagues. I don’t think we’ll see him on the playoff roster. Uh but yeah, uh Dodgers, getting Michael Copek back is absolutely important. And also Kim, right? I think getting Kim is important as well. Like, uh Dave Roberts said, Kim would be in the mix to play some left field once returning. He said he’s been good. good. The Abbatic quality has been fine. He’ll be back with us on the road just kind of figuring out where he plays. This is his first year in the States. I think he’s done a fine job, I would say. So, uh Kim has been one of the bright spots for the Dodgers. Um because this guy, as we know, got a lot of criticism to kick off his Major League Baseball career. It was a lot of criticism uh for Kim back in spring training. I mean, we did videos on this. Me and Brad talked about this going all the way back to what is it February, March. You know, there was some question marks on Kim’s uh you know, I the idea of Kim playing for the Dodgers if he was going to be a you know, a Major League Baseball player, if he was good enough to play for the Dodgers, right? Did the Dodgers jump the gun and sign a player that wasn’t ready for Major League Baseball? I mean, back in spring training, yeah, it looked like Kim uh was not ready. Um, and you know the Dodgers stem down at Triple A to kick off a year and it really helped out and then he came up and he was like hitting 400, right? You remember that? Remember Kim was like un this guy was like you couldn’t get this guy out. He was one of the best hitters in baseball for a bit. Um, and unfortunately, you know, he got sidelined with injury late in July. We haven’t seen him play for the Dodgers in almost five weeks, right? Four or five weeks since we’ve seen him suit up for LA. And I think it’s uh it’s a good time right now for him to come back, especially with the inconsistencies of Michael Conforto in left field. If Kim is starting to get those reps in that position, it’s time to give him some starts in that position in left field. I mean, it’s getting to that point. You know, of course, we got Kik Hernandez, another opportunity, another option for LA at left field because Michael Confor, like we talked about yesterday morning with Brad. I mean, it’s getting to that point where is this guy even going to be on the playoff roster? It’s getting to that point. Uh Dodgers got to start seriously thinking about putting Michael Conforto, you know, are they going to put him on the playoff roster or not? Because, yeah, it’s not looking too good right now at this time. We got to see something something a little bit more from a guy that’s making that much money for the Dodgers uh this year. As always, make sure to subscribe and let’s go Dodgers. Woo.

Although everyone wants to get rid of Conforto, Teoscar is actually playing worse than he is right now! Check the splits
Liked it better with the larger expanded rosters too. I think it was a move to save some money and block service time from accruing.
Muncy in 2026? Andrew, please don’t assume guy in Japan is MLB ready.
Have to do better against sub 500 teams
