He Looks Good..
[Music] After a few years of rebuilding, the Montreal Canadians have one of the deepest prospect pools in the entire National Hockey League. Every year we get to brag about some of the guys who took multiple steps forward in terms of development. But every year there’s also a couple of disappointments. Phillip, just kidding. Kind of. And sometimes it’s not even about the points. Sometimes the player just simply doesn’t meet our expectations. And for many Hebs fans last season, one player that seemed to take sort of a sideways development path was none other than Joshua Wawa. You see our boy Waw Wa, he finished up last season with the Laval Rocket putting up a grand total of 35 points in 47 games, which on the surface of course doesn’t really sound like too bad of a season, especially when you take into consideration some of his work during the playoffs. But the reality is fans, they expected more. A lot of fans, myself included, thought that he was possibly going to be playing in the NHL last season. But the reality is whenever this guy was called upon by the Montreal Canadians, he just he didn’t give him any reason to keep him up there. It was disappointing. And to make matters worse, over the course of the offseason, there hasn’t really been a whole lot of information on him. I didn’t know what he was doing. At one point, I thought he was working at Wendy’s. However, I’m happy to inform you that an article has surfaced this morning that I want to bring to your attention because, believe it or not, Joshua is now in the best shape of his life. In fact, this young man is turning into a monster. He’s lost 15 pounds. He’s packed on a ton of muscle. And he’s been training like a madman over the past couple of months with John Chamberg. Yes, the same John Chamberg who’s done a lot of work with George St. Pierre. Now, I’m going to leave the link to this article that was written by Nicholas Cluchier in the comment section, but Chamberg said when Waw Wa showed up, he didn’t really know what to expect. The guy wasn’t in the greatest of shape. He He couldn’t do three pull-ups, but guess what? Now all of a sudden, he’s got him doing pull-ups with 35 lbs of weight strapped to his body. Isn’t that incredible? It’s like he’s got Cole Coughfield in a kangaroo pouch. Wa feels great about it. Apparently, he’s a lot quicker on skates right now. He seems to have taken this off season very seriously. And count me in as somebody that’s proud of him because he’s been getting a bit of a bad rap from the media over the past couple of years. But I’m just hoping that he’s going to show up at camp this year and just crush it. Wawa would even admit that this upcoming season is probably the most important season of his career. He’s 22 years old right now. He knows if he wants to make the show, he’s going to have to force himself into that lineup. So, this is this is yet another player that I would really keep an eye on at camp if I were you. And of course with guys like Christian D’vorak and Mario Aria now out of the picture. Who knows? Maybe Wawa shows up and just forces himself into this lineup. It’s an encouraging development. But that’s going to do it for this quick little video. I haven’t heard anything at all about this kid over the summer. I was even starting to get a little paranoid, especially when I noticed he wasn’t at Brasard with some of the boys. But let me tell you something. After looking at this transformation, I don’t care what anyone says. This kid seems more determined than ever. Now, before you leave here, please don’t forget to give that like button a stone cold stunner on your way out. And hey, see you next time.
OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at Montreal Canadiens prospect Joshua Roy. Who in my opinion took a bit of a step sideways last season in terms of development. There hasn’t been a whole lot of information on him lately, however a new article has surfaced from Nicolas Cloutier.. Which shows great determination from Wawa over the off-season! Lets take a look.

Wawa understands that there ain't no way but the hard way.
Roy with the puck is a 5-6/10 w/o the puck a 1/10.Working out does not fix the brain work ethic or the toughness factor. He is also a small player so he doesn't have th ereach nor have I ever seen him to have any ability to shield the puck this is why Roy is an AHL lifer he only steps on NHL ice becuase of injuries.I predict that his next contract is his last he will not be a hab beyond this contract.
What’s happened to sponsor!?
What do I need to sponsor with my (amazing yet I doubt similarly fulfilling) vegan chocolate chip cookies as sponsor ?
He can take newhooks spot anyway, newhook is a Ferrari engine in a 2002 Ford focus
Wawa was working at Wendy's 😭
If he reaches his potential. Roy-Veleno-Bolduc line would be insane, all Quebecois line
time to get with it or move aside….it is up to him
If you’re getting a look in the NHL but not sticking, you have to try to do something to get that extra edge. He’s doing something. Respect!
Wow ! Given that he under performed last year, Wawa’s the last guy I expected to see a video about. I sincerely hope he turns it around; the talent is there but it’s about putting in the extra work day in and out for this guy.
Ya know…if you added a guy like Georges St. Pierre to the Montreal strength and conditioning…that would probably give everyone some insights. How a karate guy transformed into a non-considered wrestler killer…just saying….Georges KNOWS how to cross train skills, perhaps better than anyone history has ever seen. You can argue and call me crazy and maybe you would be correct. But maybe you are not. Maybe that would be something that everyone on our team could learn from.
Joe Chiwawa!!!!😅
I read the article and watched the attached video earlier today and yeah, Roy looks like a beast now. His trainer also worked with Kris Letang so he knows what an NHL player needs training-wise – this is going to be an interesting camp with a hungry Roy every bit as skilled but stronger and faster.
lol Roy has no spot too many wingers ahead of him he’ll be let go at the end of the season in Laval same thing that happened to RHP!
So we've completely given up on Mesar then?
JOSHUAWA!
Maybe this is the next step! Certainly it shows an upgrade to serious mature pro-discipline…but game passion is another thing. We want him to find that gear. We want him to find success.
Savage
Wonk !Wonk ! for Wawa 🙌💪✊️
Caufield in a kangaroo pouch, hahaha!! Hilarious.
Sounds like we're very close to trading Price's contract and maybe getting that second line center!! I am so excited, cant wait for the season to start!
Missed opportunity to say :Superman Punch" That like button (a GSP signature move) but well I did it anyway and now I need a new computer screen.
Every time you says EVERY YEAR I hears Sid da Sloth in me head. Ice Age PTSD.
I wish Roy could cross that line, but Roy will never be with the Habs, he can’t handle it in the NHL, well not with the style he plays, he needs to change his game, he’s a 4th maybe a 3rd liner at best in a checking role
