The Sixers were never planning to trade their third pick.
These guys are ridiculously negative about the Sixers. They cant be "middle of the road" about the chances of PG and Embiid to be close to their 2023-24 performances. There is a chance we get 80% of them for 65 games. The bigger problem for the Sixers is Morey and Nurse. They minimize that and only focus on the health of 2 guys which is just guesswork. Theres evidence that Morey and Nurse are failing and will likely not do the right thing going forwatd.
Sixers suck why should we waste our money for this product it’s a joke
If Embiid is healthy the cap situation is irrelevant- Embiid will be fine!
Eric is respected for the Cap rules, but knows much less than I do about the health of Embiid and PG and nothing about the roster.
But this isn't about Cap Rules. Its about health.
And BTW, Pincus confirmed to me over the weekend, that the Sixers CANNOT use the t-MLE to absorb a contract like that of Haywood Highsmith. The t-MLE may only be worth about 3-4 M after Grimes signs, and it will be worth even less after the trade deadline to get someone off of waivers.
