Young Star LEAVING Knicks – Reports Reveal MULTIPLE Updates…
A young Knicks star is leaving the New York Knicks as a huge update has been revealed. And the real reason for it is also very very clear as we have multiple Knicks updates including one on Ben Simmons and the Knicks free agent saga with the Knicks holding interest in Ben Simmons and things started to heat up now that September is here. the individual player workouts have begun and on top of that what we are seeing is things everything getting ready for training camp starting to happen as the NBA season is just 50 days away and there’s a lot to go over on this situation and we are going to jump right into it guys but before we do that if you’re part of that 57% that’s not subscribed to Nicks Digest make sure to subscribe for daily New York Knicks updates we got a lot of good videos coming out as the season is really starting to get closer and closer now and with that happening. There’s going to be a lot of great videos to go over and let’s jump right in and talk about all this. Now, the Knicks made a very sneaky move last spring and Knicks fans across the board loved it. They brought in a nice young talent in Marjan Bochamp to a two-way contract and he played with the Knicks in the summer league. He was someone who the Knicks desperately wanted to keep within their organization because they believed in him as a two-way talent. He’s shown excellent excellent strides as a defender. Can put the ball on the floor, create his own shot, and if he could become a consistent three-point shooter, that’s really the difference maker between Marjon Bochamp not really having a huge role in the NBA and becoming a genuine NBA role player. The Knicks saw that and wanted to work with Bochamp, continue to develop him into the type of player who they think would fit their team really well, especially because you can never have enough wings in the NBA in this day and age. Bo Champ can play the two or the three and that is something that is very valuable at this point especially when it comes to being a versatile defender who can guard at least three positions. So with all that in mind, obviously the Knicks want to keep Bo Champ around, but now we have a huge update on that as it was recently revealed by Landon Bouford that Marjon Bochamp has impressed the Trailblazers brass in the mini camp. And he’s told that if the Blazers end up signing Bo Champ, it’ll allow the three-year NBA veteran to play closer to home. He is a Washington native and played college ball at Yaka Valley College. So Bochamp, a very talented basketball player who is from the Pacific Northwest, only played in four and a half minutes per game last season, put up two points, 1.3 rebounds, shot 34% from three and 41% from the field. His minutes plummeted this year as compared to his first two seasons in the NBA. The defensive numbers were not great, but again, with the limited minutes, it’s really not something that we should take into huge account here. He’s been a very solid NBA G-League player in the past and Bo Champ is someone who Knicks fans are definitely going to miss. They liked Bochamp a lot and it’s understandable why. I mean, look, he only appeared in six games for the Knicks last year. Obviously with Tom Tibido, we were not going to see Bo Champ get a ton of minutes. He only played 2.8 minutes as well in that time, but put up two and a half points, one and a half rebounds, and two assists a game. He only shot 20% from three. and very very limited moments. So, it’s hard to really put too much stock into these numbers. But Bo Champ was someone who Knicks fans are definitely going to miss if he does officially decide to sign with the Portland Trailblazers. Now, he’s played in the summer league a good amount at this point throughout his NBA career. He played with the Knicks in summer league and averaged the most points per game he ever had. I mean, he played in five games, put up 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists. He shot 43% from the field, but only 26% from three, which did throw the Knicks off. I mean, when he first played in summer league, the first time we ever saw Marjon Bochamp when he was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks before he had even played an NBA game, he had shot 45% from three in that span. So, there was an exciting thing about Bo Champ looking like he’d be a two-way talent, but that three-point shot never has gotten consistent, and that has held him back a lot in his career thus far. Now, Bochamp is still young. He still has time to turn this thing around. But now, according to this new update, it looks like that will not be in New York as the Portland Trailblazers are interested in Bo Champ services bringing a native or someone who’s a near native to the to Portland. I I don’t believe he’s from Portland. I want to say he’s from Washington um if I’m not mistaken. And he has been someone who’s just been from that area. So now he’ll go back to that area, play with the Portland Trailblazers, a young team that can give him more of a role than the Knicks. totally makes sense why Bo Champ would go out and do this. I totally understand it. Though it obviously does suck because I do like Bo Champ as a player a lot. However, when we look at the whole Bo Champ situation, it’s really been one of those things where, as Buffford mentioned, Bochamp saw the mini camp as a chance to regain his status after limited stints with both the Bucks and the Knicks. Although he showed potential as a defensive specialist in Milwaukee, he struggled to find a steady point in a lineup full of veterans. His time in New York was limited and he was eager to find a team that would invest in his development. The positive feedback from Portland suggests that he might ha he might have found that chance. The Blazers, who are currently rebuilding, are reportedly considering offering him an opportunity to earn a spot through training camp. So, that’s what we’re going to see right now. We’re going to see Bo Champ likely end up leaving. And obviously, that sucks, but I do wish Marjan Bochamp the best. I’m a fan of his game, and I do hope it all works out in the end. And speaking of it working out in the end, will it work out with Ben Simmons in the end? And will he end up with the New York Knicks? cuz we have another update on the Ben Simmons situation. As Bleacher reports, Eric Pinkis made the prediction that the Sacramento Kings are a viable option, but pencil in Simmons for the New York Knicks on a minimum deal next season is his expectation for Simmons. The reason he said this is because Simmons took a buyout from the Brooklyn Nets last season, joined the Los Angeles Clippers for their playoff run. While he contributed during his time in LA, the team opted for Chris Paul, Brook Lopez, and others in free agency. Apparently moving on from the 29-year-old, Simmons is a versatile defender and playmaker, though his lack of three-point shooting limits some fits. Multiple teams are potential destinations for Ben Simmons, who put up between the Nets and the Clippers last year. Five points, five rebounds, and five and a half assists, shooting, 52% from three, and has still been one of the NBA’s best defenders. Simmons does have his issues. He doesn’t look at the rim at all. And with a team that also is going to be having Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson out there, the lineups could get very funky very fast. And I don’t love the fit of this at all. If you ask me, I just don’t like the idea of Ben Simmons, the the more I start to look at it cuz it’s just it feels like there’s going to be such a lack of shooting at points, it’s going to be so easy to defend. We saw teams guard the Knicks in that sense where what we would see is a big man guard Josh Hart who wasn’t going to shoot the three. So Cat would get doubled on the block. They’re going to do that to Ben Simmons as well because Ben Simmons doesn’t ever shoot the ball whatsoever. Whether he’s in the block or at the three-point line, doesn’t matter. Josh Hart might shoot it. We know Ben Simmons is not going to. I don’t think Ben Simmons fits on this team. I understand the need for another ball handler and playmaker and also he could play the center position and guard big men and the Knicks don’t have a ton of bigs. So, I get it. I see the vision. I just don’t love the vision. At the same time, I’ve said time and time again, Leon Rose is the best president of basketball operations and best executive the Knicks have had in my entire life. I’m 24 years old. Leon is it’s not even close. He’s by far the best. It’s not even remotely even a contest. So, I trust Leon Rose blindly. He’s It’s the only time I’ve ever trusted a Knicks executive blindly. But, I do. If he and William Wesley and the whole crew thinks that Ben Simmons is the move, I will support it. I’ll understand that Leon Rose has obviously like anyone been wrong. But he has been very, very good at this thing for all the time that he’s been here. So, I will trust Leon and what he does here. Now, Ben in the playoffs is another thing. He got played off the court. He only played five games against the Nuggets cuz they just kept playing him off the court by not guarding him whatsoever. He averaged 1.4 rebounds, one point, and one assist per game. Things were not great. I also rounded up on all those numbers. He shot 33% from the field, barely shot the ball whatsoever. He only attempted 1.2 shots per game. And his minutes dwindled from playing double figure minutes in the first game to ending up averaging 8.4 minutes for the rest of the playoffs. So, obviously, you can go figure. Now, like Ben Simmons, Russell Westbrook is also a free agent. They both remain free agents at the start of training camp or and they may remain free agents at the start of training camp, excuse me, and they’re both seeking the veterans minimum deal. Now, teams are kind of waiting to see the Ben Simmons domino fall to see what then happens with Russell Westbrook. I do believe more Knicks fans would rather Russell Westbrook on the team than Ben Simmons and I’m definitely one of them just because at the end of the day, he can guard three positions. And I know he can’t play that center position, but he does give you a ball handler and a guy who’s known as one of the best teammates in basketball. Meanwhile, Ben Simmons, we don’t ever hear people compliment him off the court, so we should just take that as well. I don’t know why this says Tyler Col’s the backup smaller. Disregard that. Pretend PCOM’s there because that’s just what matters. And Pakome is there just below Kick for some weird. I I don’t know. But looking at the Knicks depth chart, they could add another big to this team. It wouldn’t hurt. But at the same time, I believe in Ariel Huckorty, and I do want to see him play. Mixed out the fact that you could stagger Cat and Mitch’s minutes and also play Gershon Yabusi as a small ball five at points. I don’t think it’s going to be too much of an issue for the Knicks. Eventually, they’ll be able to add 15 people to the roster. So, if you add a guard now, come March when you could add that 15th roster spot, you just sign another veteran big man and boom, everything’s fine at the end of the day. That is what you go do. It makes a lot of sense to me. Does it make sense to you? Do you agree? Do you disagree? What do you think? Let me know in the comments down below. Kool Keith 😎
Ben belongs to the Knicks
And he doesn't have to score a point but just play defense for all 5 positions
He will be a unicorn on defense
On all 5 positions
This is a big boss move on Dolan
That's my brother
I know that I can trust you

They won’t defend Ben Simmons the same as Josh Hart. Simmons can put the ball on the floor effectively (hence PG abilities). I dare any team to put a slow big on Simmons on the perimeter despite his lack of shooting. But he can get to the rack
Not a Star, good luck to the young man!!
As you said yourself, you’re only 24. Your perceptions are a bit skewed since this is the only time during your existence that the Knicks have been legitimately good.
I, on the other hand, have had, both championships and the Ewing years under my belt. Simmons is the right move for what they need.
"Young Star" ..lmao! 🤡
Bye Marjon, good luck to you!!!
"Young Knicks star"? 🤣🤣🤣 You've gotta calm down with the hyperbole guy.
Ben Simmons would be a good fit for the Knicks, but on a SF or PF role…focusing on Defense and Rebounding
Star?
I don't understand any Knicks fan wanting that headcase Simmons!
HE DOESN'T LOVE BASKETBALL. He just loves the fame, the money & the famous women he gets from it.
Signing him will be Leon's 1st major error
I thought he signed to the Celtics 😂 man I’m over this I almost didn’t click on the video when I saw Ben Simmons
Ur analysis is wrong jmot…
