The Padres put up SEVEN runs in the 7th vs Twins🔥

and Arise hits it through the right side. A base hit. Fernando going to go first to third. No problem even with Walder’s great arm. And the Padres’s are all set up. Runners on the corners and nobody out in his tie game seventh inning. Luis Arise just took advantage of a huge mistake. Able’s pumping fast balls. 9798. Followed off over the dugout. Laid on it. Falling off down the left field line. throws him a curveball, catches the plate, speeds up his bat, and what do you know? To the pull side. Little first and third action. Still nobody out. Great chance for the Padres’s to put up a crooked number. You got a power verse power matchup here. Abel and Machado. [Applause] Got another dangerous hitter waiting on deck. [Applause] Seventh pitch of the at bat to Manny. Amachado bangs it through the left side. A base hit. Tatis will come in to score. And for the first time tonight, the Padres’s lead. It’s four to three. [Applause] Yeah, power versus power. But that power bat smooth as ever, cool as ever as this pitch up and in. He gets on top of the four seamer, punches it through the left side. Padres’s up by one. [Applause] As you said, an opportunity for a crooked number here. Two on, still nobody out. O’Harn will be the batter. Boy, you’d love to see the wheels come off this inning for the Twins. O’Harn looking for his first hit of the series. Three straight singles to begin the seventh inning against Mick Ael. And that’s on a line out to left center field. Arise on his way home from third. He’ll score. The throw goes to second base. And a fourth straight base hit to begin the seventh inning has put the Padres’s up 5 to three. One on, one off. The hits continue. That’s good hitting. Nice short swing. Ryan taking it the opposite way. And that will be all for Mick. Unable to record an out here in the top of the seventh inning. Nothing doing. And the pitch misses. Two balls in a strike. Krisky’s career has kind of been a bouncearound job. He’s pitched for the majors for the Yankees, the Orioles, the Royals, the Cubs, now the Twins. And two and two Sheets right at the knees. Good pitch that hasn’t been called a strike much tonight. [Music] O’Harn at first, Machado at third. Padres’s have already scored twice here in the seventh. They’ve chased Ael now facing Krisky and Sheets lines it into right field of base. Manny will trot home and a six-3 Padre lead here in the seventh. Stay hot Gavin Sheets. Another one on, another one off. And the Padres’s adding on. There’s a splitter again. Remember, he went down below pitch prior. That one a little bit lower, but great plate coverage right there by Sheets to rifle it to right. Boy, he’s swinging well on that uh off speed pitches recently as well for Gavin Sheets. His night is done. Bryce Johnson will run for him over at first base and uh presumably stay in to play the outfield. Likely center. We’ll wait and see. Here’s a Glacius. Still only one out with a couple of guys on. And strike one from Kriski. Yeah, usually the uh Lauriano goes over to left, right, Johnson in center. That has been the pattern. Yep. Five hits this inning for the Padres’s. They have passed the baton and now a Glacius to deep left field. Alman gets there to make a nice catch up against the fence and two away as the runners retreat. A wonderful play by Outman out there in left right-handed battious. This ball’s going to be hooking as Outman’s got a beat on it. Grass track extension taking away extra bases. Big out for Minnesota. Padre sent eight guys to bat last inning and now Croninworth the eighth guy to hit this inning and he takes low ball one. I think if you’ve watched the Padre offense the last couple of years. You know that uh this is where they really excel. The baton passing is expert. Three runs on five hits here in the seven. [Music] Two and one to Croninworth. Jake has already walked twice here tonight and now ahead three balls into strike against Krisky with Elias Diaz waiting on deck. Good splitter to fill the count. Three and two. Oh, he’ll throw it anytime. That was 3-1 splitter. The old adage is, hey, you throw it 3-1, why not throw it 3-2? Might see another one right here. Runners go and Cronorth to left field. Almond is back. He is at the wall and he can’t make the catch. Both runs going to come in to score as Cronorth into second base and the Padres’s have busted it open 8-3 here in the seventh. Elman got a glaciius but he couldn’t get there this time. That’s another high splitter up and away. And Jake does a great job taking it that way. He’s flirting with the flowers out there and Outman. What an effort off the top of the wall. He’s down on the track. Here’s a closer look. And the Padres’s adding on. That’s good hitting by Jake. Lean on it. Do some damage. It’s that one in the air to deep left field. Another shot for Outman. It’ll be over his head and gone. A home run for Diaz. His second of the night. A first pitch homer in the fifth inning and he gets pitch seven here in the big battle in the seventh. 10 to three San Diego [Applause] again. A little spinner right down the middle. This one hit on the line. Does he have enough on it? Does he elevate it enough? He likes flowers. There’s a bouquet for you out there on left. And that’s smelling some kind of nice. What a night for Elias Diaz. Ball two to Tatis. second career multi home run
