Andrew Alvarez Analyzes His First MLB Win Game Tape 💪
Got a little emotional in the warm-ups, but overall I just felt a sense of peace. It’s just an amazing experience. The first pitch in the big leagues for the left-hander Andrew Alvarez. Get ahead 01 first pitch. Fast ball up. Third pitch. Batter thought I was a little high. Came back with a with a sweeper and got a weak little ground ball and I was stoked that Stubs came out and made that play. Just a breath of fresh air right there to get the first batter out. Oh, threw a slider there. Called for a ball, came back through the same pitch on the outer edge, got him to foul it off, and then I came in with a the sweeper, trying to tunnel that under his barrel, try to go right back to it and uh maybe get a first strike out. And then right here on that fast ball, I thought it was it was ended up being inside, but I thought it was pretty close. And then that last one just kind of threw a sweeper, kind of backed up a little bit and he was able to swing right under it. And another breath of fresh air just to get the first MLB strike out. Just an awesome moment. I heard my family cheering and it was just it was incredible. Marcy the left on left matchup. Tried to get ahead. First pitch slider off the plate and then I tried to come back with a fast ball that just barely hit the outside corner. Called for a ball 20 trying to get back with the slider. Ended up leaving it up. So now I got three 0. I’m thinking all right, I got to get back in this count. Called a 14 fast ball. Got in there for a strike and then he went sinker. was able to uh he made a great frame on that. Um pitched down and then 3-2 I decided we decided to go with the slider there um and got the swing in the miss. Was very thankful to come back 300 and get that strike out.
