Donovan Ezeiruaku: I’m Very Confident | Dallas Cowboys 2025

this week going into the first game. What are your thoughts? How you feeling? Uh, I feel confident. I think that we had a really good week of practice. Um, watching a lot of tape, you know, learning some things obviously of what they do, what they, you know, do schematically. So, I feel really confident. How surreal will it be for you coming up Eagles fans standing on Lincoln Financial Cowboys uniform? It I wouldn’t say very much surreal. I think the the part that’s that’s surreal and and kind of crazy to me, not really the teams that’s, you know, that we’re put like not really the team that we’re playing, but the fact that my first game is, you know, about 30 minutes from my house. So, that’s that’s the that’s the surreal part. So, it’ll be really cool. Very exciting. You have a lot of family at the game. Yeah. Yeah. And uh like I’m from around that area, so I got a lot of family that’s going to be watching on TV as well. So, it’ll be good. How do you um manage the the expectations of getting a fast start, getting a fast start with the nerves of it being your first NFL? Um kind of just got to just settle yourself, you know what I mean? You know, ball kick, you know, get that first play out the way and it’s like, all right, back to football. Uh in terms of like expectations, it’s it’s not it’s not many. You know, I have my own goals or whatever the case may be that I have, but um it’s not that I, you know, I feel any kind of pressure or anything like that from the outside world. So it’s well known what they can do on on the ground with Squan Mark obviously. Just talk about how key it is to to try your best to contain a talent like that to kind of help give you give the offense for Cowboys back. Yeah, it it’ll be something where, you know, we obviously got to stop the run. They got, you know, they got a two-headed monster back there with, you know, you know, the running back and the quarterback. Um and and that’s something that we’re going to have to jump on early, you know, you know, stopping that run just so that, you know, we can get out there and pass rush and we could, you know, eliminate those two factors. You mentioned it. two-headed monster JS being another quasi running back for them. Just the challenge of trying to keep him in the pocket to take him down versus when he leaps out and try not to let him get. Yeah, that’s going to be key especially in the pass game. You know, we know that and when he can extend plays and, you know, they kind of the wide receivers can, you know, we can’t have our quarterbacks on the island for for that long. So, uh it’ll be our job to contain the quarterback obviously. Um we’ve been keening on it all week and our rush plans and things like that. So, it’ll be uh we, you know, it’ll be it’ll be fun. Obviously, definitely want to get back, but we know that we got to do our job. What do you think your emotions will be like? Have you thought about it first series out there? And what can you compare it to anything that you uh not I think I’ll be I think I’ll be good. I’m I’m typically like even killed when it comes to that. Like I’m not too high, too low. Obviously, I’m I’m very passionate dude, especially on the field. So, I think it’ll be it’ll be the same for me. Um but we’re playing football, so it’s a blessing.

Everybody, let's be honest, no one knew Micah was going to be a sack machine when he was drafted..If it weren't for Randy Gregory and Tank getting hurt, Micah would have been a good lb..So anything that Eze gives us is cool..Just play your game bro and everything else will take care of itself..Go Cowboys!!!

  20. This is a huge game. We’re lucky to start off playing the champs, and honestly, I see the strength schedule is lucky also because it can really test us so I don’t go into the playoffs week if we do make the playoffs.
