Miami Dolphins 2025 Record Prediction!

It’s that time of the year where your boy makes his official picks and his official record prediction of the 2025 season. Let’s jump into this. And I got a lot of things I want to share. So, yeah. [Music] What is up, Finn fans? Hope you guys are having a fantastic Tuesday. Now, the season starts Thursday and then the Dolphins kick off on Sunday, 1:00 against the Indianapolis Colts. And like every year, I normally do it the Tuesday before the season starts. I pick every game of the Miami Dolphins season. Now, obviously, this is going to change as the season goes on because either the team’s going to get better or they’re going to get worse. And I’m going to be picking differently. But this is what I do every year. But before we jump into this good stuff, I got to talk about some other good stuff. First and foremost, I got to chat with Terron Armstead on his channel last night. Now, as you can see here, I’m using a playoff predictors. I tried to find better sites that look maybe a little bit more aesthetically uh pleasing aesthetically pleasing. Uh but I couldn’t. So, we’re just going to use this one because I kind of like this one. So, we’re going to jump into this now. I’m going to tell you who I’m predicting as of today and I’m going off of both teams are healthy. I’m going to give you my rationale. We’re going to see how things pan out. Um, and obviously like I tell you this and I put this precautionary whatever before every every year I do this, a lot can change, guys. Last year we were going into the last six games of the season thinking, “Oh, that’s going to be a a barn burner.” If you look at it, you got Green Bay, you got the 49ers, you got the Texans, you got the Browns are going to be so good, and we’re playing in Cleveland. It was like 70 degrees. All this stuff. Oh my god, it’s going to be so hard. And we beat the 49ers and we beat Cleveland. So, a lot could change, uh, especially injuries, all that stuff. So, this is just for fun. Let’s not get all our, you know, panties in a twist and all that. So, let’s jump into this. Obviously, we have the first game, which is Sunday. I’m going to go more in depth with this on Friday. Going to preview it. Going to talk about the injuries. Going to break down the PFF, the five things. If you’ve been subscribed, you know all that Shazam. I’m picking the Dolphins to win this one. I think the Dolphins are the better team. Again, this is fresh start for everyone. Unfortunately, you know, Kater Kohus and there’s a lot of players that the Dolphins are dealing with on IR, but you look at team versus team. I honestly think that the Dolphins have the better team. Not discrediting the Indianapolis Colts at all, but I do think that, you know, especially with the addition of Rul Douglas, Mika Fitzpatrick. I love the way our pass rush looks. the offense, you know, if the offensive line, especially with Austin Jackson back at right tackle, can get grooving and we can run the ball. Really like the way they uh match up against the Indianapolis Colts. So, we’re going to start off 1 and 0. Then we are home 1:00, sun burning bright in the sky against the New England Patriots. I am going with the Miami Dolphins. Tua Tonga Valoa is undefeated against the New England Patriots. It’s not just Bill Bich anymore. He is undefeated against the New England Patriots and I do think that this Florida heat at 1:00 is going to take its toll. Now, yes, Mike Vrabel is a coach that has been a thorn in the side of the Miami Dolphins, but I do think that it’s still week two. It’s still new, a little raw for that team, and I think the Dolphins pull this off. Not telling you by what margin of victory, but I do think the Dolphins pull this off. And I think they start the season off 2 and 0. Now, here’s the big fat ugly one looking at us right in in the eyes, and that is the Miami Dolphins heading to Buffalo on a short week to take on the Buffalo Bills. I am going to chalk this off as a loss. Until they beat them, they cannot beat them. That’s my mindset when it comes to um the Buffalo Bills. They are our Achilles heel. They are a thorn in our side. If you did watch yesterday where me and Toron Armstead were talking about this, we haven’t lost bad since McDaniel took has taken over. All of our losses have been like one score I think except for the one uh last year where Tua got injured. Outside of that, it’s been like six points, three points, yada yada. It’s been very close losses and win one win. But until we beat them, we’re going to lose and I have a loss on this one. Then we have a long break. So, we got a little mini buy because we face the New York Jets home on Monday Night Football wearing our rival jerseys, which I’m very excited for. And again, just like the New England Patriots, um the Jets have yet to ever beat Tuatanga. I am going with the Miami Dolphins in this one. I think the Dolphins are when it comes quarterback versus quarterback, I think they are better. Um, I think Justin Fields, as we’ve seen in some of the practices and some of his throws, is just not good. Um, that’s nothing new. His quarterback play isn’t great. His legs and mobility are fantastic, but outside of that, it ain’t great. Um, and their secondary, uh, in the safety position doesn’t really scare me for the Jets. So, I think it’s going to be a close game. I think it’s going to be a hard fought game, but I do think that the Dolphins will take this one. Then we get back into October and we get back to Sunday regular games and we have the um Miami Dolphins heading to Carolina to take on the Panthers. This is going to Don’t think that the Carolina Panthers are going to suck this year, but I do think again I’m going as of right now the way it looks on paper, boom, I think the Miami Dolphins are the better team right now. Um, I love the what was really giving me the edge for the Dolphins. Um, obviously Tyreek Hill, you know, from what I’m hearing, he’s a man on a mission, but also the pass rush of the Miami Dolphins. You know, if they make, um, Young look very uncomfortable, they definitely can win this game. Um, and I think that’s what they’re going to really try to do for the whole season. So, I am going with the Miami Dolphins in this one. Then we have Justin Herbert and the Chargers coming to Miami Sunday. I think this is a 1:00 game if my memory is correct. Let me look. I have the schedule over here. It is a 1:00 game. So, the um the new the Chargers are coming from the West Coast to the East Coast. So, to them it’s 11:00 game. It’s going to mess with them. I think Tu right now has the upper hand. I think he’s 2-1 versus Justin Herbert. Um this could go either way. I think the Chargers are very dangerous team. Um again, healthy versus healthy. I think is a little bit evenly matched. Um, obviously people think that Justin Herbert’s the better quarterback. He does have the better physical traits. Um, better, you know, bigger, stronger, faster. Um, but when it comes team to team, I think they’re kind of evenly matched. I think Harbaugh is going to be the big deciding factor as well. But when it comes to evenly matched teams, I’m going to give the nod to the home team on this one. So, as of right now, we go into week seven, we’re sitting here at 5 and one. That’s not bad. And that’s not out of the realm of possible. Um, but obviously some of these games could definitely flip, especially this Chargers game. It can go either way. Uh, as of me sitting here right now, but if we’re going into this um Browns game and we’re sitting here at 5 and one, I think a lot of Dolphin fans will be better or better will be happy about this. Then we’re facing the Cleveland Browns. Who’s going to be the quarterback at this point? Is it still going to be Joe Flacco? Is uh Gabriel gonna take over? Is Shadora gonna take over? What’s happening to their secondary? Who’s their receivers? All that stuff? I’m giving it to the Miami Dolphins. So, you’re telling me we could be six and one? Yeah. To say that they can’t, and again, it’s only October in Cleveland, so again, last year it was like 70 something at that point. um to sit here and say this, you know, the only ones I could really see flipping is the Chargers and the Patriots. So, the Dolphins could very easily be six and one or they could very easily be four and three, but I still think they could have a winning record because again, New England has never bet beaten Tua. Jets haven’t never beaten Tua. I think the Panthers are up and coming, but I don’t think they’re there yet. So, it’s more about the Chargers that can go either way. I don’t think Cleveland’s that good. And then we’re heading to Atlanta to take on the Falcons. Again, with the Falcons, it’s a big question mark. It’s a very big question mark of what kind of team are they, right? Michael Pennix Jr.’s their quarterback. They have Kurt Cousins sitting on the bench. Um Kyle Pittz is getting involved. How’s that defense going to look? It’s a very interesting um take on this. And again, I don’t know how this could go and I’m going with the Dolphins, right? So, you’re go looking at seven and one. And now it gets difficult. I don’t think they beat the Ravens. I think the Ravens are just a more physical team. Until they beat Buffalo, I don’t think they can beat Buffalo. And then they’re heading to the west the West Coast. They’re heading to Madrid, the the far east coast if depending on where you are on the planet of what is this team going to look like? Who’s Washington? How are they playing? James Daniels and I think James Daniels is going to give this team a little bit of a a headscratcher, a little bit of a problem. And I think then going into the buy, they’re sitting there at seven and four. Now again, it could very easily be six and five. It could very easily be five and six, but this is how I’m thinking. And I think seven and four going into the buy now. They come out of the buy facing the Saints. I think the if the Dolphins lose to the Saints, just chalk it. The season’s over. Just just end it. End it right now for everything holy on this earth. Just just put an end to it all. Uh so yeah, I think that’s going to happen. Now, this is where it gets interesting. Now, I’m knocking on wood. Healthy Tua in uh the Jets. He’s already done it around this time of the year when it was cold. You remember the game? Yeah. He threw I think one pick six or he threw like two interceptions. I think that was the fail Mary in 2023. It was cold because I remember Mike McDaniel. I think it was hard knocks. This is when um Jana Phillips tore his Achilles. Uh, I still think Miami again until the Jets beat Tua, same thing. Now, this is where it gets interesting. Mike Tomlin, that um, uh, Steelers team, uh, Aaron Rodgers, DK Metaf, TJ Watt, like, it’s a very different team. I’m going with the Pittsburgh Steelers in this one, especially because it’s in Pittsburgh and it’s a Monday night prime time game. I’m going to go with the Pittsburgh Steelers in that one. So as of right now we are sitting at 9 and5. Um and then see again this is where the tough stretch starts to happen. So you know from week nine to week 15 the Dolphins are four and two right? So you might be laughing at me thinking I’m going one and seven but again I’m trying my best to be unbiased. We have the um Cincinnati Bengals taking on the Miami Dolphins. Now this is home. what Bengals are going to show up, right? Because is this going to be a shootout? Is this going to be like a 35, you know, 28 win by whichever team wins? Like what’s going to happen? Is the Dolphin defense going to be able to do something and stop the uh the Bengals in any aspect or is it going to be, you know, again, a fire back and forth, back and forth? And again, this is a prime time game. Um, this is a difficult one. See, these three right here for me are difficult because looking at team on team, paper on paper right now, fully healthy, these are these three games are very good to me, right? I think the Dolphins def the Dolphin defense can handle Aaron Rodgers and that, you know, Steeler offense. The Bengals uh receivers scare me. So, I’m gonna go with the Bengals just for now. Uh Joe Burrow, the way he plays and all that stuff. Now, they are home, but I’m just going to give it to Cincinnati for now. And then if I’m doing that, then I’m going to give Miami against Tampa, especially because they’re home. And then they have to head to New England. This is where it can get very interesting because at this point they’re 10 and six. I’m going to give it to New England at the end of the year, uh, and they’ll finish 10 and seven. Now, for me, I’ve told you guys time and time again, a healthy two will get you to 10 wins. And this is 10 wins looking at you right now. Now, we all see at the end of the year, they all they tend to falter in some of the cold situations, and we saw two losses and two cold win uh cold games, and they kind of struggled a little bit here. Looking at this schedule, I don’t really see this out of the realm of possible. Now, some things could flip, right? Let’s go worst case scenario. Let’s say the team is just real struggle busy in and they’re having problems in some aspects. Then Vrabel could be a problem. The Chargers can be a problem and then Atlanta could be a problem. And then you could very easily see a seven and 10 team. Very easily see a seven and 10 team if things start to fall apart. And again, if you come up to here and you know, you go into the buy and you only have three wins, that’s a problem, right? Because you’re sitting at what, three, one, two, four, five, six, seven, three, and seven. That’s not good, right? And then you only win four at the backstretch. That all of a sudden you might have coaches changes. But again, Patriots have never beaten Tua. And I give the Dolphins the nod because the West Coast team is traveling over to the East Coast. and it and it puts you Oh, and then I gave this one. Uh, seven 10 and seven. I don’t think 10 and seven’s out of the realm of possible. Again, you probably are disagreeing with me, yelling at me in the comment section, especially if you’re really down bad on the Miami Dolphins right now. But it could go one of two ways. So, my basement for this team, like, let’s say this team sucks. Like, holy crap, they are not prepared for anything. Uh my basement is like yeah like six wins and then if they’re good where you’re like wow who is this team? My ceiling is about 12. It’s a big swing from six to six to 12 games. Like if they’re if they’re redot and they’re really getting full head of steam, like even some of these games might be a possibility to win. But if I’m trying to be realistic, but also trying to give you like the best case scenario, 12 wins, best case, right? They pull like I I don’t even know if they could pull this off, maybe I’ll give them this because or even one of these because they’re home. But I’ll give them this just because Washington might have overachieved last year. That’s a that’s a real that’s a possibility. Even if you know you’re sitting at here where they haven’t picked yet and you’re sitting at 12 wins, they might rest their starters, you know, bada boom. Um, but again, my thought process on this season, again, I told you it’s a huge enigma for me the way this season works because if the pass rush is there and all that stuff happens, it could be crazy good and um really help this team. But then on the other end, if the secondary is so bad, the pass rush won’t matter. It’s that wide margin for me. They could be a six- win team, they could be a 12- win team. I see them more healthy to a uh you know, give me 80% healthy team, meaning like you obviously you’re going to lose players. Say we lose like four guys in the year instead of like nine or 10. 10 wins. Give me 10 wins. Uh that’s my expectation going into the season. That’s my record prediction. Give me 10 and seven. Two games better than last year, right? Because the roster isn’t that much better than last year, but I think with a healthy two, it’s two game win better because again, in my opinion, I think they beat Seattle and I think they beat Indie if two stayed healthy. So 10 to seven. That’s my record prediction for this year. I think they get off hot, especially because, you know, they face some West Coast teams and then they’re playing in Carolina. They’re playing in a dome in Atlanta. Uh they’re not playing a great team in Cleveland. I think they get off to a hot start and then they start to face some adversity towards the back end of the season with the Ravens, with the Bills, with Washington, with the Steelers, with the Bengals, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that things might get more difficult. So again, they might start off seven and one and then only win three games on the back end of the season. So comment below. Am I being delusional? Let me know what you guys think.   1. There's enough bad teams on the schedule for 7 wins if injuries aren't too bad.

    I think the OL will still be bad and we'll struggle desperately to defend the pass. Hopefully I'm proven wrong about that, but those are two aspects that will make winning games very difficult if true.

  2. Oh boy, this is the best time of the year! If the fins stay relatively healthy this year…13-4. Offense averaging 22pts a game…defense lockdown this season. We'll split Buffalo this time around…losses against Ravens, Washington, and a close one between Bengals or Tampa.

  8. We'll see how the Season Plays out. The Dolphins have so many new guys on Defense it's like Weaver's 1st Year as DC. The O-Line is still a Question Mark, but it does look promising.

  10. It's a tough one. I ran the numbers the other day and this is where I'm at. They NEED TO open the season 4-1. I will give them one loss (and no, it's not buffalo). They need to show that they are a different team and that means winning the games in the division. Nothing else matters except for the division games. In a perfect world, the record in the division will be 5-1.

    The crux of everything is what team shows up. What coach shows up? Are we playing the outside run game and doing pitches and screens all game or are we sending the WR on a seam route and launching the ball? They gave up Erik Ezukanma and he made a hell of a catch on the last preseason game. That moment tells me everything I need to know about the player and I don't understand how he isn't (or has ever) been given that chance to succeed in Miami. He will be a great wide receiver and so I will chalk that up to injury concerns.

    If we have the team that remembers what it's like to throw the ball, then the expectation is 10 wins. 9 is a letdown and 11 is where we should be if they play well just based on the teams we are against.

    If we have the team that plays ticky-tacky offense, short throws to the LOS and nothing deep, nothing outside the numbers, then we are lucky to get 8 wins. I don't care how good the run game is or the scheme, they need to learn to trust the receiver to get the ball in the air and they have to have the gusto to throw it. Either they make that push this year or we are entirely going to repeat 2024 and it's a full blown reboot mid-season (players gone at the deadline, loading up for the draft, new coach and new GM).

    Gotta learn what makes a winning football team. I am concerned because of what we are hearing wasn't happening in the offseason of seasons past. I am hopeful that this team is good. I am hopeful that this team can make that next step. Now do it. I need to see it and the players just need to put that confidence and effort into themselves and those big moments.

  11. Doug comment of the day. Remember when Trent Green got knocked out for blocking I believe JJ Watt of the Texans? Reminded me of Tua last year! Not there’s any relevance but just that ever since that perfect season Miami been cursed! If they are truly cursed they will start off bad and end uglier! I’m still optimistic!

  12. Wow… I will be sooo happy to be wrong here Doug but 3-2, is optimistic going into week 6… 7-1?
    Tua is a solid human with a strong head on his shoulders, he only played in 1 full season and that was a contract year. I expect the same this year. Only a idiot balls out for free… hes got one more solid contract year ahead of him thats it… everyone following knows it, he might be able to extend it out another contract as a back up.

  14. If the wheels come off early and Tua misses a significant amount of time then 5-12. If Tua misses a couple of games but the team stays relatively healthy overall then 8-9. If Tua plays 17 games, everything goes right including overall health of the team with the young players stepping up then 12-5.

  18. I absolutely disagree with you 10-7? No. We’ll lose against the Chargers and Washington so we’re not starting 7-1. Steelers is an L. We’ll lose to all of the AFC North except Cleveland…maybe. 😬

  25. I know a lot of you will not agree with this, but here goes. As long as Tua is the QB, the Dolphins will not go as far as they should. The Miami Dolphins will be what they always are year after year after year, an above average football team. I'm hoping and praying, really, that Tua and the Miami Dolphins prove me wrong and actually play like they know what they're doing and go all the way.

  31. You guys are all delusional. Miami gets softer every year under McDaniel so they win 6 games this year. They got so hurt just doing mini camp and pre season. What the hell do you think is gonna happen in real games?
