It feels like I I was just here, but that’s cuz I was for Bet Bash. But, you know, we’re back at it again. And uh we’re going to be here for NFL opening weekend. We’re going to do some damage. We always do when we’re in Vegas. So make sure that you jump on. Remember to use that promo code pick at 15% off. But let’s get to this one between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. For the Los Angeles Dodgers, it is Show Otani listed as the starter in this one. While the Pittsburgh Pirates have Braxton Ashcraft listed as the starter here. And you know, Ashcraft, you know, pitched well in his last start. Couldn’t take anything away from him. I did have my concerns about him and unfortunately the the Pirates offense couldn’t back him up in that start but still you know the early returns for Ashcraft been really solid at 2.58 RA you know 52 and a third innings of work 48 strikeouts to 15 walks almost a strikeout per inning and you’re facing a Dodgers lineup if you’re Ashcraft that hasn’t necessarily been anything special against right-handed pitching in the last two weeks you know this Dodgers lineup from a a batting average perspective is hitting just 240 the team OPS numbers are all right the isolated power numbers are still there, but you know, still a 22% strikeout rate. I think that Ashcraft could have a really good start in this game. On the other side though, you’ve got, you know, Showi Otani, who you know, obviously he’s going to get the respect and the name, you know, for for the name brand with Showi Otani for good reason. I mean, he’s still one of the best pitchers in baseball when he’s on his game. But in his last two road starts, Otani has given up nine runs on 14 hits over just eight and a third innings of work against the Angels and the Rockies. And now you’re facing a Padres’s lineup that in the last two weeks against excuse me, a Pirates lineup, pardon me, that in the last two weeks is still hitting 259 against right-handed pitching. Their team OPS numbers are above league average, just outside the top 10 ahead of the Dodgers. And as if Ashcraft can go toe-to-toe with Shoi Otani and still, you know, be serviceable and be respectable in this start, the Pittsburgh Pirates, it’s crazy for me to say this, have the best erra from a bullpen in baseball or well, sorry, one of the best bullpens in baseball, top three in in uh in the last two weeks at 2.54. The Dodgers bullpen RA closer to four. So, I’m going to take a shot here on the Pirates plus the one and a half runs. And I’ll sprinkle a little bit on Pirates money line as well at plus 150. and that’s going to be my free pick.
