With the 4th easiest schedule, an improved O-line, and a decent D-line i think Cam can get us to a wild card spot. Sure our skill positions could be better.. but we seem like a sleeper pick for wild card? Cam’s first year and he could follow the trend of cj and jayden. Anyone feeling as optimistic?

Optimistic or insane?
This video gave me so much enthusiasm for Cam.

I really believe it, with any improvement from last season and not a flaming disaster at QB we’re not a bad team.
6 or 7 wins is more realistic and what I’d consider a successful season. The AFC is absolutely loaded again
I don’t think it’s insane. I think we *could* get a wild card spot. I don’t think it’s the most likely outcome, but I definitely think it’s in the realm of possibility.
I’ll be rooting for it, but I don’t think making the playoffs would be necessary for us to consider this season a success.
I think 6 wins or above is a success but i wouldnt mind more
We lost so many games last season solely on bad QB and special teams play. I think it’s absolutely possible. We’ve seen it happen over and over again in previous seasons. Why not us!
Theres alot of parity in the NFL, teams who arent supposed to win do and teams who are, dont, happens every year. Could be us this year.
Can’t wait till Sunday.
Watching the boys go to the AFCCG after being 2-4, Mariota getting benched, and seemingly being a terrible team with a bust and a rookie as the WR corps, washed ex Dolphins QB, and an RB that looked downright bad — that taught me literally anything can happen.
We are not making the playoffs.
AFC Wild Card won’t come from the South. If we plan to make the playoffs we need to win the division.

I’m just gonna take it one game at a time and hopefully be able to say “this team has improved” at the end of the season.
It’s not insane because you can look at last year and say “here’s a handful of games Titans should have won with average QB and ST play” but the problem is every season there are games for every team where the bounce of a ball decides a game. Are the Titans due for positive regression? Yes. Is it guaranteed to come this season? No. My main issue projecting this season is the lack of depth almost everywhere. You’re a key injury or two away from having another rough year.
Two out of three hosts on The Athletic podcast chose us as wildcard teams. So it’s all smooth sailing from here.
Just be better than the jags and colts. If we pull that off I’ll be happy. Plus, beat the cardinals cause I’ll be at that game.
Sports are crazy. “Why not??” I ask
I want to win games, but I want to temper my expectations too. Doubling the win total from last year is as optimistic as it is realistic to me.
But also *not* losing 10 or more games would be fantastic.
Edit: last part of OP post, stop putting Cam’s rookie season up against the expectations of other rookie seasons. Let Cam have his season. Jayden had his, Cj had his.
I think “strength of schedule” is next to useless in the NFL
I think our realistic ceiling is 8 wins.
If we win 6-7 games, Cam , Ayomanor, Gray or Williams look good I’ll be happy for the foundational season.
Our depth is BAD. We’ve got rotational players that couldn’t make rosters on other teams.
Oh there’s definitely a chance, but it’s not an expectation.
The floor is 7 wins but I expect 3-5.
Everything would have to go right at multiple position groups with a lot of healthy players. The team doesn’t have much depth, but could potentially be good if guys like Sneed show up and players elevate their play with more opportunity like at the WR position. Ayomanor comes out and plays great, Helm, Cedric Gray, etc.
My boy said in his interview today that his only goal is to win a lot of games. He has more confidence than Callahan right now. I’m in his corner until the league humbles us, but I think Cam is a huge step forward over will and at least on par with Ryan as far as moving the ball goes
If Cam is “HIM” immediately, absolutely. But for every Jayden Daniels/Nix/Stroud rookie season, there’s a lot more forgettable ones. I’m not nearly as confident in the foundation around him (coaching in particular)
I think it’s within the possible range of outcomes, but isn’t a reasonable expectation. Much like last year, the realistic goal is seeing growth (as in, that was the goal last year and it didn’t work).
I think 4-6 wins is my expectation, 7-9 would be in the realm of possible but unlikely, anything beyond that would be stunning
All about Cam Ward. Who even cares about wins.
10 wins and Cam Ward sucks? Or 2 wins and he is a baller?
Edit: If there is any upside to an easy schedule, maybe it’s that Cam can develop confidence easier and faster. It’s not like he’s being injected into the AFC West or NFC North.
I’ve learned that expect a bad season and then you can’t be pleasantly surprised if it goes well haha.
I expect us to be trash again, that way I can be surprised if we aren’t and happy to watch us play again.
Not at all. 4 to 5 feels realistic. 6 to 7 would take alot of things going right. I’ve heard improved o-line for 3 years so let’s see if that’s actually true, we may just ended up switching our weak right side to our left. I also am not confident in the lack of pass rush and the linebacker play needs to really improve. Love our safeties but no true cb1 so teams will abuse 1 on 1s opportunities.
Still not convinced about the O-Line
I think the hope really depends on how we look against DEN and if we’ve got some fight in us in that environment.
I don’t trust Cali to get us to the playoff’s. He is my biggest concern.
Hopium is strong this time of year
I’m a one-week-at-a-time guy, injuries happen, shit gets crazy, sometimes you catch teams at the right times (and sometimes you catch Randy Moss and Tom Brady in the middle of their primes)
I’m optimistic but we were awful last year. I am 100% sold on Ward but he’s still got a lot of growing to do. At least we won’t be winning and have Levis turn the ball over, and over, and over.
Super Bowl
I’m hoping for 7-10, Cam plays well, and everyone stays healthy heading into 2026. That’s the most I’ll allow myself to hope for. I’ve been a Titans fan for too long to hope for more…
The meltdown on this sub is going to be legendary when we lose to Denver on Sunday and Cam throws 1-2 picks because Denver has a top-5 defense and it’s literally Cam’s first NFL game ever.
