Steelers Get More Bad WR News

[Music] What is up, Steelers nation? Thank you so much for jumping on to another episode of All Steelers Talk. I’m Norrackben, joined always by my main man Jacob Punur. Find us on youtube.com/allsteelers talker. Subscribe anywhere you get your podcast. The Pittsburgh Steelers are just three four days away from week one of the regular season when they take on the New York Jets. Mike Tomlin spoke yesterday. Cam Hayward spoke yesterday. Gabe Davis signed yesterday. And it is what’s more likely Wednesday. We got a jam-packed show for you. I’m very excited for all of it. It’s a beautiful one here in the Berg. It’s a beautiful week here in the Berg. I’m excited to get out to good old New York this weekend and uh experience Metife, which for those of you who have never been to Metife, don’t go. It’s not worth it. There’s and I will speak from experience, but I’m not the only one. Giants fans tell me constantly, look it, dude. Not worth it. There ain’t nothing to do. It is It is a It is a wasteland of its own. It is not even I don’t even think it’s part of New Jersey. I think Metife is just Metife. It is a bubble. It has a casino and a stadium. That’s all you got. And if you’re not into casinos or stadium there, there’s a holiday in and that’s all you got. That’s all you got going for you. I hope you’re better than anybody who will go to Metife and think that they are going to New York City weekend and are bamboozled in that situation. And with that, how you feeling, my friend? feeling happy that I will be remaining in the New York City of Pennsylvania and that is Pittsburgh uh for this week one matchup between the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Another day closer. Excited is the word. I just keep adding to it every day. Yes, eager to see if this is going to go down the drain all at once after week one or if I’m just going to be the most optimistic version of myself moving forward here. So, yeah, I’m excited, man. And you know, coming off of the first Tomlin Tuesday of the year, it kind of gets the juices flowing in a different way. It’s time to get moving. It’s time to start coming up with more Tomlinisms on my own. So, you know, things are good. He uh he dropped one yesterday, man. I’m I’m blanking on it to be honest with you, but I knew it was in there because Chris Hock of DK Pittsburgh Sports was sitting in front of me in the press conference, typed in Tomlinism, and he’s like, “Oh man, how many years do I have to do this before this computer realizes that Tomlinism is a vocabulary word that is in the dictionary and I said, “We’re getting close. We’re getting close, my friend.” Um, I will point out to the viewers because I just noticed it as well. You got a new microphone setup going on right now. You got a little new Yeah, kind of. You know, I always am trying to find the best ways to present myself to the picnic pack, and what better way than to re-angle my microphone. So, you know, I love it. If it’s a huge, that’s all I need. If I have your endorsement, brother, then I’m good to go. The only thing I need more than that is the picnic packs endorsement. So, if there’s any issues, I’m sure they’ll let me know. Uh, but yeah, you know, just trying to always upgrade the experience here for all Steelers Talk. And maybe maybe we just did that on a Wednesday morning. Beautiful. I love it. I love it. I noticed it as you were talking. I think it looks fresh. I think it looks pretty nice. You know what I mean? Real out there, away from the face. We’re professionals over here. Let’s talk some Pittsburgh Steelers football. We’ll start with Gabe Davis, who is the guy everybody was waiting on, but everybody expected he was going to sign elsewhere, and he officially did that. He inks a deal with the Buffalo Bills, returns home in the least shocking news that we can get all week. on the same day less than an hour before it it actually happens. Um Mike Tomlin goes on this rant about how much how excited he is for Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin and John Smith and Pat Frimute to say we’re good and DK Mechaf’s going to be just fine. The search is over. I I’ve asked around. I’ve dove into it a little bit as much as I can. The Pittsburgh Steelers are no longer sitting around looking for a wide receiver. They anticipate this is their group going into the the year and it’s going to remain the group throughout the year unless something drastic changes. Gabe Davis was not a guy we expected to come to Pittsburgh. We had a 24-hour gap where we sat around and went, “Oh yeah, he’s here. This is it.” You know what I mean? This they found their guy. That died off real quick. I mean it I it’s not shocking. So I don’t have to ask you what your response was to the news more so I’ll ask you this. We’ve talked comfort comfortability with the guys and with everything else. I want to take Tomlin’s words here and form them into something that I think we have overlooked throughout the offseason. And that is the DK Medaf factor. Is DK enough, my friend? Is DK Metaf enough for the Pittsburgh Steelers to go in here with confidence and say our wide receiver core has a guy on the top of it that is good enough to say he will supplement the rest. that he can take enough distractions away and force the defense enough so that Calvin Austin, Roman Wilson, Scotty Miller, Johnny Smith, and Pat Frymuth can do their part in helping them. Is that something that in your head is enough for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they enter the season? No. No. And it’s a disappointing no to be giving, especially heading into the first week of the NFL’s regular season. But by my estimation and by my observations, it’s not enough right now. And it’s not because the DK Metaf effect is not great enough or not impactful enough on the field. It’s just because I’m not sure what the effect of him trickles down into and what that develops into behind him. I’m sure, and you know, I’m paraphrasing Mike Tomlin’s words from from yesterday, but he said something along the lines of, you know, his skill set sort of facilitates the need to plan around it and supplement from there. and and I understand that he should be the focal point of the passing part of the Steelers offense, but I don’t think that it is enough just to know that we are have to build this offense around him. We’re going to get the ball to him. We’re going to understand and anticipate that teams defenses will be doubling down on him and focusing on him. That’s all well and good, but then how are we going to incorporate Roman Wilson or Calvin Austin or even a John Smith truly uh into the offense as a result? And that’s where I struggle to see the sort of light at the end of the tunnel, let’s call it. And you know, the Tomlin said something I believe it. I think you’re talking about hiding under your desk or being confident. Was that the Tomlin? Yes, that was it. So, I’m just not that type of person. You know, I I probably will hide under my desk until I know it’s 100% safe. Uh, and I think right now it’s not 100% safe to stay in the metaphor here, to stay in the the Tomlinism of things. Yeah, I uh first off, I could definitely see Tomlin being like, you know, like he’s in the midst of war and he’s just like, you know what, man? Screw this desk. I ain’t hiding. Stands up and then like he’s he’s the first one captured and captured the flag. He’s the first guy in paintball getting smoked in the dome. That’s who Mike Tomlin definitely is. So, I’ll I’ll be the guy. I’ll be the Don’t even worry about it. I’m heading face first. You better cut off these eyelids and then you lose by 36. I I agree with you. You you look at what’s around him and you you ask your it’s a simple question, you know, and you have to ask yourself it is dink and duff dunk football enough. Can you say can we toss the football to Jonno eight yards down the field and Patreon mute eight yards down the field for an entire game and then hope for those two or three splash plays with DK Calvin and maybe Roman to say this is enough. We’ve done enough on on offense to score points and put ourselves in a position to win. Is that good enough? Is that a good enough offense? And it works with some offenses. It works in Kansas City very well for the most part. It works a lot of times. I mean, it worked this past season, I think, in teams like Minnesota from time to time. I think from time to time it works in in uh Los Angeles with the Rams. You know, Puka and Cooper Cup are not 80 yard receptions. They’re 15 yard guys. And can the Steelers win football games by doing that? I think the biggest difference is that a lot of these teams that we talk about have a thousandy rusher and I don’t know if the Steelers are going to have that thousand yard rusher. That’s where my concern comes in. Now this all goes away in week one if Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson put together 75 yard performances and DK Metaf catches two deep bombs and the Steelers are fine. If that’s the case, all right, cool. You know what I mean? You opened up the field enough. And I think the defense on the other side of that is good enough to say, look, it we could all we have to do is score 27 points, 28 points in a game to win. And you can do that without turning the football over without with the dink and dunk uh offense because in years past it was the same offensive approach. The difference was is that you couldn’t get first downs. So you punted all the time. If Aaron Rogers could keep the ball moving, if the Steelers can keep the ball moving and it is seven, eight yard plays time and time again and first down, second down, first down, second down, first down, and you’re scoring points. Cool. You control the clock and everything’s good. I think in my side of things, the the part of this that works in my head, if it does work, which is a big if, and we do not know the answer to that yet, is this is what they’ve been trying to do for four years. And if I was going to bet on anybody of the quarterbacks that were trying to do this, I’m going to bet on Aaron Rogers to be the guy that’s able to do this. Unfortunately, I’m not going to bet on the running game to be the running game that does this. And I’m a little nervous about the offensive line, but I do think that it’s the same game plan that they’ve had. It’s just better personnel in that game plan. Unless you like, unless I’m wrong there, but like you upgrade, you did what you could on the offensive line, you did what you could everywhere else, you know? Yeah, I think that’s that’s totally fair. I I think I think I just don’t have the the confidence in that, you know, to keep to hang on that word that Tomlin used. Um, but I think they could surprise and I think they have the the sort of skill set that has not been unearthed or has not been productive enough in an NFL regular season setting that could happen uh as soon as this season. So, you know, I understand why Tomlin can be so confident. I just don’t share it. No, I agree. Tomlin’s always confident, man. That guy is the most confident guy in the world. And you’re just like, “Brother, bro, brother, slow it down.” Okay, let’s take a step back in the confidence level here. But I admire it. Let’s talk uh a guy who Mike Tomlin does expect on the field, but this guy doesn’t know if he expects himself on the field. Cam Hayward has practiced for the last week. It seems as if the holding is over. Everything’s good and mighty with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They don’t plan to pay him. He doesn’t plan to get paid. They paid Jaylen Warren instead. Now Cam on his podcast that comes out yesterday is saying, “Are you going to play against the Jets?” quote, “We’ll see what are we seeing in I mean, I’ll ask straightforward and I, you know, I’m going to hold myself back from a rant here for two things. One, don’t want to piss off Cam because, you know, don’t I got to take a breath before I, you know, I I overreact, but two, like I just feel as if we’ve done this so many times. Is Cam being dramatic?” Like is there is there any part of this left to say we’ll see or are we just at a place where it’s like dude you’re the only one hanging on to this. Everybody else is gone and we’ve already accepted it and and you just kind of need to come to grips with the situation. It is we have far surpassed an acceptable point to still be maybe playing the games of yes, is this going to happen? I don’t know. I still have some sort of leverage. It’s just he’s going to play. All signs point to it. There’s no reason to believe otherwise. I guess for strictly like to be, you know, by the letter of the law until uh week one officially kicks off, he can technically say we’ll see and it can still be, you know, we have to, I guess, lend some weight to those words, but we all know and see right through them. They are shallow, very shallow words and not very meaningful and he’s going to play. So, I just don’t understand. It’s one thing if this was a month ago still and we’re trying to be very aggressive and getting our way in the contract renegotiations. At this point, I think we’re teetering on the edge of like how strong is of a leadership example are you setting in this specific moment by saying we’ll see if I play because we all know the writing’s on the wall. We all know what’s going to happen. What good are you doing by doubling down on that language so close to week one kickoff? I I find it to be funny at this point because it’s just not there’s nothing real about it at this point. Funny is the perfect it’s a perfect way to desri It’s comical. Like what do we I understand it. Okay, you want your money, you want to get paid, you’re pissed off, you’re going to fight this thing right till the end. Do it, man. Fight the power. I get it. Whatever you want to say, whatever you want to do, whatever you want to stand for. But we have, like you said, far surpassed the place of like anybody cares, dude. Your coach is sitting here going, “Yeah, he’s going to play in week one.” Not, “Oh, we’re going to pay him.” No, he’s going to pay play in week one. Like, we’ll see. What are we seeing? What are we seeing? You’re on the practice field. You’re telling me that come game day, you’re gonna show up and be like, “Oh, Mike T, brother, actually, you’re down two starting defensive tackles this week because Derek Harman’s injured and I’m not playing no matter how much I just practiced.” What? What? How did It doesn’t make sense. There’s no logical argument to it. I get the stance. You want to make the stand? I get it. I support it. Make the stand. But I mean, let’s just be realistic about it. Let’s let’s not lie to the public. That’s what’s happening here is you’re you’re playing the game, but you stink at playing the game. The poker face is you are smiling cheek to cheek, dude. You’re holding no cards. You’re sitting here. Whoa. That was the crazy That’s the craziest one yet. That is the crazy. For those of you who are listening to audio, I don’t Streamyard just blew up. I don’t know what happened. Um Cam is is playing poker, dude. He’s sitting there with a two and and an and a seven and he’s like, “Yeah, I think I’m all in. I think I’m all in.” Like, no, dude. There’s no part of this that where anybody believes you or thinks that you hold any ground. And again, I support the argument, but like we’ll see is just it like it’s just being dramatic for no reason, you know? Like that’s what I kind of looked at it as is like Did you really need need to make that comment? Like, did you really need to say that? You want to know what worked better? Yeah, I’m going to play in week one, but I would really like to get paid more. You know what I mean? If Cam said that, I’d be like, you know what, dude? That’s a great response. That was a 10 out of 10 response there. I want to get paid more. I’m still pushing for it, but I’m going to play. You’re going to get all the fans being like, “Hell yeah, dude. Way to be a guy. Where’d it be that guy?” Instead, everybody’s like, “We’ll see you, dude. Are really really do we believe this?” No, nobody believe. I just Maybe I’m being overdramatic, but I felt like it was the wrong way to go about it. I feel the way Cam’s gone about this the whole time has been the wrong way to go about this. But I I felt it was a little bit dramatic in a situation where if you were just straightforward and said, “I’m holding a two and a seven, and you know, I’m just looking to get paid.” I think people would have reacted a little bit better. I think I would have reacted a little bit better, you know. Well, I mean, I think there is some uh to use like the WWE language that I love to like there’s some there’s some heel work going on here from Cam Hayward and and it is kind of jarring for someone who is a locker room uh leader and for Steelers fans and from the outside such a sort of uh figure head of the Steelers. It’s very strange to, you know, have these these really contrasting words from him a couple of days before week one of the regular season. Uh so yeah, I wonder if it is, you know, I imagine it is some sort of um premeditated plan, you know, that this is the way they’re going about it to continue having these negotiations on the table or to keep it in the back of the Steelers management’s minds. At least that’s the best guess that I could surmise. Otherwise, I’m not really sure why this sudden turn has happened in the Hayward family from going from just like a huge part of a and staple of the Pittsburgh Steelers to suddenly being very not okay with the scrutiny that they are facing. Uh, and you know, I’m not sure I’m not sure what’s going to happen with it, but I just feel like we all know Cam’s going to play on Sunday and it’s going to be probably a whole season of us asking these same sorts of questions regarding Cam Hayward’s status with the Steelers. Yeah, it’s that’s what’s going to happen with it is you want to know what’s going to happen with it? Cam’s going to play on Sunday and and we’re just going to keep talk and then he’s going to say something in week two like, I don’t know, man, maybe I’m done. Like, what? No. No. at some point just stop talking about it or get really re real with it. And if you get real, it’s time to get really real with it. That’s my best advice on the situation is just acknowledge it for what it actually is. Stop trying to make it a big headline because that that first headline works way better and and I think it sits way stronger. All right, it’s time for some what’s more likely on this beautiful Wednesday. But first, we got a quick word from our boys over at DraftKings. What’s up, A Nation? I’ve teamed up with DraftKings. The next great touchdown is coming. you can bet on it. Just sign up using my promo code all Steelers and get in on the action. DraftKings Sportsbook where all the touchdowns matter. Shout out our boys over at DraftKings. I am fired up for two reasons on DraftKings and the announcement that we’re teaming up with them this season. First, it’s because I love DraftKings and you know what I mean. I’m a degenerate. This is what we are. This is what I am. Two, you have never been part of a season where we have picked the games throughout the year and I’m fired up for that on Friday. Yeah, it’s a good time. It’s a good time. We’re there. I’m pumped for it. Let’s uh let’s get into it. I got some What’s more More Likely for you. I’m excited for him. I got a five pack for you. All right. And we’re gonna kick it off with good old Jaylen Warren who signed his extension yesterday or two days ago now. Two days ago and remains with the Steelers for three years. But the Pittsburgh Steelers, they’re playing Justin Fields. And Mike Tomlin did not care at all about his arm. I don’t know if you listen to the press conference, but there was literally zero conversation or comment about Justin Fields throwing the football. Not one. He’s good at running the football. He’s great at running the football. He’s good at running the football. That’s what Mike Tomlin loved to talk about. Nothing about his arm. Well, I got one for you. We’ll kick it off with this. Jaylen Warren, what’s more likely here. rushes for 100 yards against the New York Jets in week one or Justin Fields outrushes the entire Pittsburgh Steelers offense. [Laughter] Wow. You know, there’s no easing into it. There’s no All right. You know, you just got to go right in head first. I It is more likely that Justin Fields outrushes the entire Pittsburgh Steelers offense. You are going to get some backlash for that one, my friend. I know. I know. I just don’t I think it is so unlikely that Jaylen Warren or really any Steelers rusher in this week one matchup is going to exceed 100 yards on the ground. I don’t think the Steelers uh rushing game will be awful. I have no clue to be quite honest what to expect. Um but I don’t think it’s going to be, you know, the standout part of the game. I think the passing game will and I think if there’s anywhere that the Steelers will struggle in this uh defensive matchup against the Jets, it’s to contain Justin Fields and his ability to escape the pocket. So, I could see the Steelers winning this game, still, you know, it still being a good game for the Steelers defense, but they give up 15 yards rushing to Justin Fields and the running game just doesn’t do much. And it’s Come at me. You’re not You’re not wrong. Look at You’re not wrong. I I this is your question to answer, but just statistically speaking, Justin Fields holds a better career high than Jaylen Warren does in the NFL. And I mean, look at the guy runs the football. Aaron Glenn wants to run the football. Mike Tomlin only talked about Justin Fields running the football. I expect Justin Fields to run the football. We’re gonna see what happens. We’re gonna see what happens. Here’s my second one for you. We’ll backtrack to Cam Hayward here for a second. What’s more likely? Cam follows through on his words. We’ll see. We’ll see. Cam Hayward sits out in week one, shows up, says, “I’m not playing, dude. Throw that jersey in the trash. Burn it. I don’t even care. Whatever you got to do.” or Cam Hayward shows up, dresses, plays, and he matches or beats TJ Watt’s hold out performance from the first time that TJ Watt signed his massive deal, which just to remind you is two sacks and a forced fumble against the Buffalo Bills. Cam matches or beats that in week one. It is more likely that he matches or exceeds that return game. I don’t even have to think very hard of this because in my mind, and if I’m wrong, here’s the freezing cold take about to leave my mouth. There is zero chance that Cam Hayward is not Wait, let me make sure I get this right. There is there’s a 100% chance Cam Hayward plays in this week one game against the New York Jets. 0% chance he misses this. And if it is any other way, again, the cold take just came out of my mouth and hopefully I’m wrong. I’ll send it right to freezing cold takes Twitter account. Send it to him. That’s fine. I I deserve it if that’s the case. But, you know, I expect him to be in there and I expect him to be ready and contributing to the defensive front. So, you know, I’ll take that over him missing the game and sticking to his words quote unquote of we’ll see. We’ll see. We’ll see. We’ll see. He shows up with two sacks and a force fumble. I’ll tell you this, Omar Khan and his agent have a conversation to have on Monday morning. That’s what you know what I mean? It’s like look at brother here. Can we just do this? Can we just please end this nonsense? And I’m going to be honest. At that point, he should just say, “Hey, I deserve to get paid because there will be 75,000 fans at Acashure Stadium in week two that agree with him 100%.” I got a third one here for you. The Steelers wide receiver two on the depth chart and in life is Calvin Austin right now. And we have no idea how good he is. We haven’t seen him since Friday night lights. I I mean practice for like 4 days in the last week. We’ll see what happens. Well, the Steelers need him to do big things. What’s more likely? Calvin Austin has over just 50 receiving yards. This is not a massive number. just 50 receiving yards or a tight end, doesn’t matter what one, leads the Steelers in receiving yards against the Jets. If you had said receptions and not receiving yards, I think I would have gone with the tight end options here. I think it’s very possible that, you know, Pat Fryouth, John Smith hauls in 10 receptions or something like that for like a 50 yard sort of uh total. I think Calvin Austin could get to that. Oo, it’s a really tough one, but I do think we have we’ve seen so little of Calvin Austin. I think it is more likely that the surprise addition, the lack of preparation perhaps on the New York Jets side uh for Calvin Austin can help him surpass the 50-yard mark and maybe just help um insulate this conversation regarding the wide receiver too in the Pittsburgh Steelers offense. As much as I want to say Pat Fri or John Smith is going to have or even, you know, Darnell Washington is going to have some huge 100 receiving yard game to begin the season, I do think it is more likely that Calvin Austin has a genuine game as a wide receiver, too, for the Pittsburgh Steelers to open the year. I love it, dude. I love it. I have so I’m hoping I mean, Calvin Austin’s a dude, man, and I’m hoping for good things, but I like where you’re going with that one. All right, I got two Aaron Rogers ones to kick this one off. Finish this bad boy. We’ll start with the first one. Okay, you’re not super high on you’re you’re very very high on Jaylen Ramsey. Super super high on how good Jaylen Ramsey is, but you’re not very high on Jaylen Ramsey leading the team in interceptions. You think it’s going to go elsewhere. You think the Steelers are going to be a turnover machine, but it’s going to be Joey Porter, Darius Slay, Juan Thornnehill, Deshun Elliott, those guys. How about this one for you? What’s more likely? Aaron Rodgers throws multiple interceptions against his former team, the New York Jets. Or Jaylen Ramsay has at least two interceptions against Aaron Rogers former team and Justin Fields. Oh man, you know, I I do appreciate you holding my feet to the fire here regarding my belief on Jaylen Ramsay, and I stand by it. I think it is. I do not foresee more than anything, more so than my thoughts on Jaylen Ramsey, I do not foresee Aaron Rogers throwing multiple interceptions against the New York Jets. I could see one in week one. You know, the offense is going to need some time to find its rhythm, keep building that chemistry for sure. I don’t think they’re going to do if they have multiple turnovers, they won’t be off of the hands of Aaron Rodgers. Conversely, I do think Jaylen Ramsay can have a splash debut. Allah, another safety or defensive back who came in and had a miraculous first game with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I think Jaylen Ramsey could come in here and have two interceptions. I still think that might fall in line with my season prediction of him not leading the team with interceptions, but I think he could come on so strong. He is like waiting to be unleashed in a very serious way. And I think the New York Jets might not be able to handle it. For those reasons, I’m going to go with Jaylen Ramsay here. I love it. I can’t go two interceptions with Aaron Rogers in week one. That seems like a a bad road to go down to start the year. There are not many games where Aaron Rogers has thrown multiple interceptions in his career. So, I it’s hard to argue against that one. We’re going to finish it off with this one. Okay. Aaron Rogers, 41 years old, oldest quarterback in the NFL. Guy is an ageless wonder, but he’s not the only old quarterback in the AFC North. Joe Flacco’s here as well. What’s more likely to finish this bad boy off? Aaron Rodgers does or does not have the best performance of a quote unquote old AFC North quarterback over the age of 35. Meaning Joe Flacco does or does not outperform him against the Cincinnati Bengals. There is no chance that Joe Flacco respected the Super Bowl winner that he outperforms the 41-year-old Aaron Rogers. I love it. Zero chance, even less chance of that happening than of Cam Hayward not playing week one. Aaron Rogers is going to be far superior quarterback week one and all the way through to the end of the year. There won’t be any questions, any weeks of outliers. It will be consistently Aaron Rogers as a superior veteran quarterback in the AFC North and probably the entire AFC. I love it. I absolutely love it. I I love Joe. I love the stamp. It was just It got me. The stamp got This is less chance than Cam lying to us and actually telling the truth. I love it. I love it so much. That’s our five pack of what’s more likely to end this one. And on this beautiful Wednesday, we’re going to head out of here. Thank you guys so much for jumping on to another episode of All Steest Steelers Talk. 1. I thought over reaction Tuesday was yesterday! Noah you are hella over top drama diva about nothing. Why would anyone expect Cam to be 1000% in, when the Steelers aren't with him. You & Jacob are all the way left when it comes to Cam. He's never going to lose the locker room. If he does, then he never had it. U can't say in 1 breath u understand his stance, then u & Jacob trash him with the next. How would u judge your own loyalty to the players? If I was a player, then I'd definitely question u both.

  2. Who cares. Leave Cam alone. On the flip side Cam should just answer yes. If you recall Cam said Aaron Rodgers should just answer, is he gonna be a Steelers or not? Remember that?

  3. This show is the absolute worse. I keep giving it a chance. But the takes are always awful. It's like listening to a teenage kid who has no idea what TF he's talking about.

  4. Don't give up on Rodgers. Packers never picked WRs in the 1st round, AR is used to it. As much as i want AR to let loose, dink and dunk can and will work. At the very least Off will hold the ball longer to let the Def rest more than what they are used to. As much as id want another top WR, AR can make it happen with what's there, mainly depends on the O-line on if they can run the ball and if AR has time to throw a little deeper.

  5. Can someone show Jacobs response to question 1 to Jaylen warren and the Steelers defense? What a bum! Does he not remember the Steelers defense? Jacob's out here adding some wood to the fire.

  6. One thing that we are not paying attention to is that the WR group for the Steelers might be the fastest WR core in the league. Speed breaks down the secondary, and we have a top core speed group: The NATIONS 40 times DK 4.33, Scottie 4.39, Wilson 4.39, Austin 4.32 (Skowronek is the slowest, but a good underneath route runner if he does touch the field). And if Warren can give us a little bit of last year's runs, it makes us even more damaging to the opp defense.

As to your opinion of J. Fields running the ball exceeding 100 YARDS or outperforming the Steelers offense, STOP SHM, Lamar Jackson has never had a 100-yard game in rushing yards playing against the Steelers, last time I checked, he's the most dangerous QB on feet in the NFL, Wilson and Queen in the middle, TJ and Highsmith on the edge I really believe the kid will be seeing to many pro bowlers or future pro bowlers coming down field to fast from to many different areas on the field…..WE are STACKED! And the rotated players are just as good at the edge and LB position.

Jacob, good evening. Are you really a Steelers fan? You do have an opinion, but man, some things you say seem to be on a personal tip. Skip Bayless 101 lol…. GOOD SHOW, ENJOYED IT, but Jacob, please make your intake on-topic make sense.

  7. I think it's time to end this discussion of the need for a WR2. Tom Brady new how important Gronkowski was in order to be successful and win super bowls. Patrick Mahomes without Travis Kelce think about it. Now I'm not saying that Freiermuth is at the level of Gronkowski or Kelce but we could have success in utilizing all of our tightends not just Friermuth we have Darnell Washington, Jonnu Smith and Conner Heyward. I really do think we need to end this topic and I do believe we are in a much better position than we were last year.

  8. Pittsburgh has a knack for drafting late-round third-round wide receivers and transforming them into stars. I believe this trend will continue. Just look at Antonio Brown, Bryant Holmes, Mike Wallace, and Calvin Austin. Last year, they were all open on numerous plays, and Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are going to be fantastic. Aaron Rodgers is also on the verge of becoming a star.

  9. You guys are gonna look so stupid I mean all all year long you guys have been talking about. We’re getting this player this player that player. I’ve been hearing good news his wide receiver so let me just tell you. I’m a laugh my ass off when these receivers look like stars.

  10. You guys, they haven’t even played one game yet!!! Why don’t you wait and see how the first game plays out before you talk shit about our WR group!!!
