FINAL Pittsburgh Steelers 2025 Record Prediction | Steelers Talk By Chat Sports

[Music] A new NFL season is now upon us, Steelers Nation. And today I’m going to be revealing my final 2025 Steelers record prediction. Where can Aaron Rodgers, Jaylen Ramsay, DK Metaf, DJ Watt, Cam Hayward, and more take this football team this year? about to break down how I think this season will play out here on today’s edition of Steelers Talk. But before we get into the content today, get us started down there in the comments section by letting me know how many wins will the Pittsburgh Steelers get this season. They’ve got 10 wins the last two years. This year, I would argue they have a better roster than those two teams. Let me know you guys think down there in the comment section. To kick off today’s show, we’ll start here with the season opener this weekend versus the New York Jets. Uh I am picking them to win uh pretty convincingly. I think this defense is going to play a really good football game against really a lackluster Jets offense. I think they want to run the football. I think that the Steelers are built to stop the run this year. And uh if you guys want to hear my complete thoughts on the entire game, the coaching breakdown, my scouting report on Justin Fields, the keys to victory, we actually put out an indepth preview on this football game that’s on the channel right now. I’ll put the link to that in the top right of your screen right now so you guys can check that out if you want to see my complete thoughts here on week one. But I do think that the Steelers uh will win pretty convincingly here uh here in the season opener. So, what say you guys? Let me know down there in the comments section. What is the percent chance that the Pittsburgh Steelers win versus the Jets on Sunday? Um you know, I don’t want to get too confident here, but I do feel pretty darn confident. I would say 85 to 90% is where I’m feeling right now. But let me know what you guys think down there in the comments section for today’s pin question. Moving on to the home opener here, and I do have DK Metaf getting his uh revenge over his former team, the Seattle Seahawks. Thanks Sam Darnold is going to be seeing ghosts against this Steelers defense throw multiple interceptions. And I think the Steelers win that one pretty convincingly actually in week two. But then in week three, I have them taking their first loss of the season, the Drake May, Mike Vrabel, and the New England Patriots. And listen, guys, I have the Patriots making the playoffs this year. All right, I have Mike Vrabel winning NFL coach of the year. All right, so that’s a good football team. You’re on the road. I think Drake May is going to do a good enough job. And then the defense will also do a good enough job there for the Patriots. I think that’ll be a close game. I think that’s a tossup. The Steelers can absolutely win that football game in my opinion. Uh, but for the sake of this exercise, I will go with the home team, the Patriots, to win in week three. But then in week four, you travel to Dublin to take on the Minnesota Vikings and JJ McCarthy, a young quarterback. Um, and I think this defense is going to eat them alive. Plain and simply, guys. I think that, you know, might be a low-scoring football game there in Dublin. But that’s going to be a pretty much a pseudo home game for the Steelers because of the uh because of the fan base that exists in Ireland for the Pittsburgh Steelers. So, I’m going to choose them to win the Ireland game this year, which means that the Steelers, I am projecting to start the season 3 and one. And, you know, with that early season schedule, I think that that is more than realistic heading into the buy. And, uh, I think that if the Steelers, you know, even if they get off to maybe a little bit of a bumpy start on offense with Aaron Rogers getting used to playing with his new teammates and all of that, if you head into the buy three and one, I think you’re feeling very, very good about this Steelers team heading into the rest of the year. But coming up here on Steelers Talk, the rest of my 2025 Steelers record prediction. I’m going to let you guys know exactly how many wins I think the Steelers will win this year and whether or not I think they win the AFC North here in 2025. Let’s take a look here at my prize picks projection for tonight’s NFL season opener versus the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. I’m taking the free play on the more passing yards with Dak Prescott. I am taking the more with receiving yards with George Pickkins, the less on passing yards for Jaylen Herz, and the more for rushing yards for Saquon Barkley. Starting with the with the game against the Browns at home after the buy that I feel as confident in that game as any game on this schedule. Mike Tomlin is excellent after a buy. The Steelers are home. The Cleveland Browns are terrible. That one is about as much of a chocked up W as it gets in the National Football League in my opinion. But then you get to week seven, Thursday Night Football against a tough divisional opponent on the road. I think Aaron Rodgers really makes a statement against that Cincinnati Bengals defense. Even with guys like Mason Rudolph and Kenny Picket and Russell Wilson for that matter, this Steelers offense has dominated that Cincinnati Bengals defense uh in seasons past. I think that they have a similar type of performance in that football game and they make a statement on the national stage and I think they do it again in week eight versus the Green Bay Packers. Um you know they they’re going to be coming off uh a Thursday night game so it’s almost like a mini buy for the Steelers. Uh, Green Bay, uh, is a team that I think, you know, on the big stage there, um, you know, Jordan Love, I think, is going to throw a couple interceptions against the Steelers defense, and I feel pretty darn good about the Steelers chances of coming away with the victory. It’s probably the only time Aaron Rogers is going to play his former team uh, before he retires. And I think he’s going to get his revenge here in week eight. But then in week nine, usually the Steelers usually have one loss at home every season that they should win. This is what I’m chalking it up to be versus Daniel Jones in the Indianapolis Colts. Shane Stiken has had Mike Tomlin’s number as a play caller for many years at this point. So, if I’m going to pick one game that the Steelers should absolutely win that they could lose, I’m going to pick the Indianapolis Colts game. And then I’m going to follow that up with yet another loss here in week 10 versus the Chargers on Sunday Night Football. Tough place to play. um you know in terms of you know uh you know in uh the the the trench play that the Chargers bring to the table. I know they don’t have Rashan Slater, but they got a really tough football team. They got a really good quarterback in Justin Herbert. I think that’s going to be a tough team to go into their stadium and win. But then in week 11, I’m going to have them sweep the Pussycats this year in the Cincinnati Bengals. Going to have them win that football game. um and you know, sweeping the Cincinnati Bengals, I think will certainly um you know, put uh the league on notice there a little bit that you can go toe-to-toe with the best one of the best offenses in the National Football League uh from a consistent basis. I think at that point in the season, people will start to talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers as a legitimate uh contender in the AFC. Then in week 12, I’m going to have Aaron Rogers go into Chicago for likely the last time in his career and continue to own that franchise. I think that, you know, I feel as good about that game as I do any other uh game on this schedule because of Aaron Rogers’s history in that stadium versus that team. I just don’t see any way Aaron Rogers doesn’t cap off his ownership with the Bears uh with a win. But then in week 13, I will have them take a loss at home to the Buffalo Bills. Bills obviously have a Super Bowl caliber roster with an MVP caliber quarterback. That’s going to be a tough game. Uh but I don’t think that that one’s necessarily a for sure loss. I do think that Aaron Rogers and the Steelers have a good enough football team to compete with the Bills. Uh but in this exercise, I do have them losing in what I consider a toss-up game there. But then I’m going to go with a win versus the Baltimore Ravens. And guys, I think it’s actually a good thing that the Steelers play the Ravens late in the year because I’m not sure Derrick Henry is going to be able to hold up the entire season. Um you know, he’s getting older. Uh you know, the last time he had that many touches in a season as he had last year, he got injured and he had an injury riddled season the following year. Uh, playing these guys later in the year, I think increases the chances that Henry is not available for one or both of these games here on the road. I’m going to have the Steelers make an absolute statement against Lamar Jackson and the and the Ravens and beat them here in week 14. By the way, Lamar Jackson stinks when TJ Watt is out there and healthy. Then you get to week 15, Monday Night Football versus Miami. That’s going to be a cold weather game. We know that the Miami Dolphins are extremely unproven in cold weather. I think that’s a pretty uh decent one there to go out there and get a W. Then we get to the Detroit Lions in week 16 on the road. I’m going to have them win that game even though I do think it’s a little bit of a tossup. I’m a little bit skeptical about the Lions switching both offensive and defensive coordinators. I’m not the biggest fan of their new offensive coordinator to be completely honest with you. I think they’re going to run a very different style of offense to what Ben J Ben Johnson ran uh there in Detroit. So, I think that the Steelers um you know, in kind of a close one there and what I consider a tossup gets the dub. Then week 17, I’ll have them win versus the Cleveland Browns. I mean, the Browns just stink. I think at that point, we’re going to see like Dylan Gabriel, Shadur Sanders, somebody uh in there that, you know, is just not a good QB. Uh and and the Steelers defense is going to dominate them. Then week 18 season finale. If it comes down to the division, I’m going to have the Steelers win that football game. Finish out with five straight wins to finish out their 2025 campaign and sweep. Yes, the AFC North a perfect 6 and 0 within the division. Is that realistic? I guess we’ll see. But it’s what I think it’s going to happen at this point, guys. So, with everything said and done here with my entire season projection, I uh landed on a 13 and4 record for your Pittsburgh Steelers this year. Now, obviously, I think that this is a very optimistic kind of projection here. I think this is pretty close to what I think the ceiling could be. I could see the Steelers win as many as 14 games this year, guys. Cuz if Aaron Rogers bounces back, if this offensive line that’s looked pretty promising to this point really moves forward, if this run game takes a big step forward, which I think it definitely could, um, with the style of offense the Steelers want to play, which is going to be really tough for NFL defense to defend in my opinion with the heavy tight end sets and DK Metaf and Jaylen Warren and then we’re not even talking about the defense yet, which I think could be the best in football. So, I think that truly the Steelers could be an elite football team this year if everything comes together, but there’s certainly the possibility that, you know, the run game isn’t as good as I think it’s going to be. If Aaron Rogers, uh, his age really shows, all these different things, if the offensive plan doesn’t work out the way the Steelers are hoping for, if there’s injuries on defense, I think their floor is nine wins. And I think that we’ve seen that with Mike Tomlin where um, you know, he’s not going to have a losing season, especially with a roster that is this talented. All right, so I think anywhere between nine to 14 wins. I know that’s kind of a wide variance there and I’m casting myself a pretty wide umbrella there. Uh, but I do think that is the realistic uh range for the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. But I do expect this team to be absolutely competitive at the very least. But in terms of who I’m going to pick to win the AFC North this year, I will pick the Pittsburgh Steelers. I think 13 wins gets it done. Now Baltimore, at least on paper going into the season, I think they’re the more established team. I think that it’s perfectly reasonable to pick them to win this division. Um, but things change in the National Football League on a year-to-year basis, and I think the combination of Derrick Henry probably not being able to make it through the entirety of the season without getting injured and the fact that I have the Steelers sweeping the Ravens in their uh season matchup at the end of the year. I think that’s going to be enough to get this Steelers team over the top and win the AFC North here in 2025. So, now make your pick down there in the comments section. Type B for Baltimore, PIT for the Pittsburgh Steelers. CIN if you think the Bengals win the division.
