So the award was going to Belly or Trent, but I forgot that you gave Trent your MV. These two are doing a dueling banos. Cole Tucker asked us. He’s like, “Hey, who are the Yankee fans talking about between keeping Trent and Cody?” And I was like, “We haven’t fully gotten there. Like we’re still just so in the throws of this season. Yeah, they’ve kind of been dueling back and forth where Belly has been this allaround five tool baseball player playing every position. Meanwhile, Trent Gisham has solidified the leadoff spot. Trent Gisham has been our leadoff hitter. He’s secured the position. He’s played center field and now he’s had one of the most clutch Yankee seasons we’ve seen. I think it’s going to be a very interesting offseason conversation because they probably want to keep one of them. You probably can’t keep both of them.

Grisham can go. You don’t give a big contract to a guy who’s hit under 200 for 3 years after one break out season. Bellinger has an MVP and a track record. Grisham is not a gamble anyone should be willing to take. What are we even talking about here?

Why not both? Belli gets the nod if you can only keep one, but why not try and keep Grisham? I’d rather have him in the outfield over Jasson Dominguez.

You don't keep Trent, this is an aberration. This would be Aaron Hicks or DJ all over again. You cant judge a player by their contract year. They almost always, way, over-perform.
