Between the Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins, for the Kansas City Royals, I am seeing Michael Waka listed as the starter in this one. Um, for the Minnesota Twins, no starter confirmed at the time this video is being recorded. I have seen in a couple of spots where um, you know, Joe Ryan was listed as the starter. In one spot, I saw Pablo Lopez listed as the starter. So again, we’ll have to kind of wait to see who uh who actually gets tabbed with the start here. Hopefully we can update that for you on Friday’s morning show. But for right now, like I said, we do know is that Michael Waka is getting the nod here for uh for Kansas City. And you know, thing with Michael Walk is that he was pitching very well. He did have some issues. He ran into some trouble in two starts against the Detroit Tigers, you know, back at the end of August. But before that, in the six starts prior to that, right out of the all-star break up until August 18th, he had a 2.21 erra across the board and a 5-1 team record. So was pitching well for the Royals. The Royals were winning his starts. And I don’t love the matchup here for the Minnesota Twins against Michael Waka. Waka did struggle in Minnesota, but he also pitched well against the Twins at home. And the Twins in the last two weeks against right-handed pitching, hitting just 217. Their team OPS numbers are just outside the bottom five. The isolated power numbers are, you know, just outside the bottom five as well. Reasonably high strikeout rate, just under 23%. It’s not the highest, but it’s still not spectacular. And I think that they could struggle here against Michael Waka. Now, like I said, it’ll be interesting to see who the uh the Minnesota Twins decide to send out here, but I still think Kansas City has a a competent enough lineup that’s not striking out, a 15% strikeout rate against righties in the last two weeks. And I think the Kansas City Royals just have the better pitching staff. They have a great pitcher in Waka. They have the better bullpen by a mile. Right now in the last two weeks, the Royals a near top five bullpen erra in baseball out of the bullpen with a 3.30 erra. While Minnesota’s staff erra out of the bullpen has ballooned to 7.74, the highest in baseball in the last two weeks. So for me, I got to roll with the Kansas City Royals at home in this one to uh to draw the first blood in the series. That’s going to be my free pick.
