San Diego Padres vs Colorado Rockies – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 5, 2025 MLB Season

Donors Donny. Thanks very much, B. Here we go. From the Rockies, ready to work is Kyle Freeland. First pitch of this one to Fernando is in there for strike one. We’re underway. It’s could be historically tough as this one is popped up in a shallow right. Ritter goes out. Moniac comes in and it’s Ritter, the second baseman, who secures out number one to benches clearing. Well, I think there are certain guys where you can kind of get to early and uh now it looks like there’s going to be two outs here, but try to get to Freeland early. Try to rattle them a little bit. Who’s more mad about giving it up? Yes. And the distance. Here’s a fly ball into shallow left field. Out goes the short stop to a long way out there to left and he’ll make the catch in fair ground. 2-2 to right center field. On the move is Jackson Merrill headed back towards the track to make the catch. Running onto the dirt of the track. I like that. It’s the first time I’ve seen that. This is short and quickly to second base on the fores to Croninorth. Ends the inning. Done with one without a score. One two pitch is in there for strike three and Gavin Sheets. Second strikeout victim for Freeland. And a fly ball to center field. Doyle going back in center at the track. He will make the catch. Goes after the one, two and strikes out. Got him on the knuckle curve. It’s the third K for Freeland. The inning and a half done without a score from Denver. I believe and I talked There it is right there. There’s a four seamer upstairs. I’m a firm believer either you have it or you don’t. Either you can really spin it or you don’t have that ability. Hand positioning, the ability to what we call rip through a pitch. And Nick does that really well. It’s off the bag to the backand and Cronerorth makes the play. You never know where that ball’s going to go and hits it. Swinging a foul tip held on to by Alias Diaz for strike three to end the inning. Swinging a miss gets away briefly from Goodman. So he’s got to throw him out and he does. Some tough numbers offensively for San Diego. That is strike three. Jake knew it. And takes with him the fifth strikeout for Kyle Freeland. Sorry about being the MVP of the game. In the air to shallow right. Moniac coming in and over towards the line and he’ll make the catch. It ends the inning. Kyle Freeland has been perfect to the first three. Were scoreless. Swinging a miss and he put him away on a cutter. Third strike out for Nick Pavetta. First out of the third inning. Seven home runs, 83 runs batted in. And a fly ball the other way. Stung pretty well. Fernando going back and it is gone into the aviary. The bullpen and right. And Goodman connects on his 28th home run of the year. It’s an opposite field shot and the Rockies strike first on top. One to nothing. F minor leagues. Yeah, CJ loves Charles Johnson. To right field. This one will stay in the yard. Fernando plenty of room will make the catch and ends the inning. But the Rockies strike first. Hunter Goodman with a home run has Colorado on top one- nothing. Hey off pitch and that is strike three gets him looking. Sixth strike out for Freeland. Just swinging a miss and he strikes him out. Backto back Ks here in the fourth inning. swing and a miss and he strikes out the side in order and he struck him out. There’s strike out number four for Nick Paveta. First out of the fourth inning. Strike out so far for Paveta. Reaches out and lifts it into shallow right. Tatis over on a slant towards the line to make the catch for out number two. Swinging a miss and he struck him out on the curveball. Fifth strikeout for Pava through four. It’s one- nothing Rockies pitches. Sometimes a two seamer. They might be work right back at him. Dribbled and he fires to first base to get sheets. He’s locating his pitches in and out. He’s really working the corners well. This is out to right center field and a base hit. The first hit of the night for the Padres’s breaks up a string of 13 in a row. Retired by Freeland. It’s a double form Lauraniano. It’s like disrupting your cruise control to left field and Beck is there. He’ll make the catch and fire back in quickly. Two down in the inning which is a strikeout victim in the third inning and a swing and a miss here. Gets away briefly from Goodman. Got to throw him out and he does. Strike out number nine for Freeland. The one pitch to Ritter takes it the other way on the line and coming in to make the sliding catch in right is Fernando. That thing was headed for the grass but Fernando says no. Popped up out goes Croninworth. In comes Fernando. Much easier play for Fernando. There’s a ground ball up the middle as a Glacius will flip backhanded and off the bag. Croninorth in from third comes Bodiac and the Rockies take a two nothing lead. The flip. There’s Doyle now grounding one down to third. Machado will just tag him out and that will end the inning. But another run for the Rockies on the ground right side. Ritter slides to his left and throws out Chronoworth for the first out of the sixth inning. Line and picked on a hop by Keros. His throw is good. Nice play Kyle Keros at third base. One hit so far. A double by Lauriano. And now a popup from second base. Ritter is calling and catching out number three. Another good inning for Freeland. He is dealing tonight. And it’s two nothing Colorado. One hopper and a big hop to Glacius. One down in the sixth inning. To third, Machado picks it. Goes to second for one. On to first for two. Round the horn they go on the 543 DP. It’s inning ending. Ryan O’Harn leads it off for San Diego and sends a two hopper out to the second baseman Ritter for the first out of the inning. You just saw him Orioles just did some damage. The Padres’s now doing some damage to the Dodgers outside of first leaning into the screen to make the catch. Mado is out number two. Little bloop into left. Beck was deep but he will get there. Good speed coming in to make the grab and we’ll end the top of the seventh. Seventh inning stretch. It’s an eight pitch inning. It’s a two nothing Rockies lead. Pretty much all the way around for David Morgan. There’s a grounder headed to short. Nacius picks and fires. Swinging a miss after the slider. First strikeout from Morgan. Out number two of the inning. Somebody on here in front of Goodman. Little bloop down the right field line as Fernando on the run. He will not catch it. And coming around from first is Moniac. He’s going to try and score and he will. Swinging a man. Struck him out on the slider. But another run for the Rockies. They take a three nothing lead to the eighth. And a swing and a miss this time as he struck him out. 10th strikeout for Kyle Freeland. First out of the eighth in the air to left center field. Doyle from center. Now it’ll be the left fielder Beck who will make the catch on the ground up the middle. The shortstop toebar will go to first for the out. It will end the top of the eighth inning. It’s getting runner goes again. kind of swinging a miss and the throw down there is going to be not in time. Stolen base for Doyle and that gets him looking. He knew it. Takes with him the second strike out for Jacob. Two down. Big strike. Lifts a popup into shallow right and has Cronorth out. Tatis and Fernando takes charge, makes a catch and ends the inning as the Rocky Strand appear. We’re going to the ninth inning. Pitcher to arise. That’s ball four. Lead off walk for Luis Arise. Padres’s need base runners. Walk issued by the Rockies pitching staff tonight. Freeland now. Vodnik. Grab ball through the right side into right field. A base hit. Arise will take second. Not sure what happened there to Burnabel at first base, but that one was by him quickly. And Fernando’s got a base hit. First O’Harn lifts the fly ball to shallow left as Beck moves in and over towards the line. He’ll make the catch for the first out of the ninth. Machado chops one to third. It’s a fair ball out there. Out there. Ball game is over. 53 on the DP as Machado grounds in the double play that ends this ball game. And the Rockies shut out the Padres’s.

  1. MLB is rigged. It’s all about gambling.

How did Milwaukee win so many games in a row during their winning streak?

Why are the Padres and Dodgers losing to all of these bottomfeeding teams lately?

It’s a business people and it’s sad that it’s at the expense of the fans that actually believe in their teams.

  2. Same ol lousy padres !!! No inner fortitude. Machado is a flop !! Cant handle pressure. It obvious they are not consistent. Maybe next year. Waiting since 1973 !!!

  3. Can the Padres be in more of a coma than they already are. $1 billion dollars worth of players who can't hit and who don't pitch. Wow 😳 What a pathetic clown 🤡 show!
