Tonight, chris Sale will get the ball for Atlanta and he is ready to lead out the Braves right now. First time pitching at Truest Park for Chris sale since back on June 18th. Then he had the rib injury. He returned in his last start against Philadelphia six innings of three hit ball, one run on a solo homer and nine punch outs. So I would say he didn’t skip a beat and he strikes out Randy, a Rose arena and his first game back here at Truest Park in over two months. Cal Raley, the results have been there for him this year. All those home runs that he’s hit, but here it’s a single with one out in the first inning. Rodriguez has been swinging a very hot bat, a homer in each of his last two games. But if you look at the last 23 he’s hitting 330 best stretch of the season but sea strikes him out and it’s the slider again. Rodriguez strikes out two down in the inning that will bring a Eugenio Suarez to the plate runner takes off play at second. They got him. Mariners got a couple runners on in the third inning but he got Riley to pop out to keep it one to nothing swing and a miss 97 he blew it right by Rodriguez. Cranked it up to 97 and threw that ball by Rodriguez. Another strikeout for sale back to back. He gets Rodriguez and now Suarez , that’s the second out here in the 4th, 4th strikeout for sale tapped right in front of the plate. Pouncing on at Baldwin. That’ll be an easy play. We’re in the 6th 79 pitches swing and a miss a tough slider in the corner. Julio swings through another 123 innings retired seven in a row. He is on his game tonight. One nothing Atlanta with the lead. We go to the bottom of the sixth. Logan Gilbert has been excellent tonight. He spins him around like a top and Logan Gilbert collects his seventh strikeout every single strikeout tonight by Logan Gilbert has been on that split finger and we’ve said it before about Logan splitter. That’s got a mind of its own rose arena in left field. Logan Gilbert strong start once again tonight for the Mariners and on the road no less, he retires to sign in order just one run over six innings and that is going to be it for Chris sale. So he gets two outs, gets over 90 pitches and Brian Snitker is going to the bullpen excellent effort from sale tonight. Round of applause for chris sale who is terrific tonight, six and two thirds shutout innings. New pitcher for the Braves is left hander Dylan Lee who will come on to face the left handed hitter, Dominic canzone. Shadow center base hit can zone is aboard and the Mariners have the tie and run Polanco. Now in scoring position, here comes Rivas swung on, hit hard up the middle hits through a base hit Polanco around third. He’s steaming home. He is going to score. Julio Rivas has tied the game. It is 1 to 1 in the seventh. Now Raley lifted and How about this? Harry Ford will make his major league debut right here and he strikes out, Lee takes advantage of Ford making his big league debut but the Mariners tie it up at one bottom of the eighth. Still tied 11 and left hander Gabe fire will take over in relief. Hard hit up the middle good start here in the bottom of the eighth profar heads for second and he gets in there. Puzzle double go ahead run in scoring position right away. See if mad can at least get him over to third base here. Ground ball right off the mound so far comes home. Has the lead back. That ramp right off the mound went over JP Crawford and matt Olson with the RB I that was a bullet right off the dirt of the mound and now this one deep to right at the wall go. Ozzie’s third hit of this game and there is no one hotter than Ozzie here lately. Ground ball past the diving Jorge Polanco and a base hit in the right center that scores Ozzie Albes. It’s 41 Braves as Atlanta has come through with four straight hits versus Speer Bats have come to life here in the eighth. It’s gone double single, triple , single from Prova Olson Alvis and Baldwin and it will be Rice and Iglesias trying to come on now to get the save for the Atlanta Braves. So the Mariners down to their final out 12 to matt Olson propelled by great pitching from chris Sale in a three run eighth inning. The Braves claim game one versus the Mariners. They extend the Mariners troubles on the road and the Braves take this one by a final score of 4 to 1.
