  1. This is absolutely heartbreaking as a fan of the sport of hockey. Doesn’t matter what team you support. This man was a pioneer and a legend.

  2. .922 SV% and 2.24 GAA in the 70s with 6 cups, 5 Vezinas, and a major award in 6 out of 8 seasons all while winning 65% of the games he ever played, left hockey to pursue law at the age of 31….

Literally the textbook definition of legendary, rest in peace.

  3. One of the best to ever play the game and also one of the best to study and understand the game and what it is.

    Rest in peace

  4. B’s fan here..Mad respect for the guy..71 playoffs run of his IMO one of the all time great performances. Sad to hear.

  5. I met him at a conference in Montreal, he was the guest speaker. Had a nice chat with him. Great guy. His series The Game was amazing.

  6. For anyone who hasn’t had a chance to read it, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of his critically acclaimed book, The Game. It’s well worth the time.

  7. I used to read books on Ken when I was a kid. A legend of the game. He will most certainly never be forgotten in the history of hockey. Rest easy Ken

  8. I don’t believe in anything but Ken Dryden passing away on the same day Carey Price left the Habs roster is absolutely crazy. Even if you’re not the type to wonder, it kinda makes you wonder.

  9. I don’t even think you gotta specify if you’re a Habs fan or not or what team you support, Dryden was one of those dudes who transcends what jersey he wore. Incredible goalie and a darn good human being.

Sleep tight Ken. We’ll miss you.
