But let’s get to this one between the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants. The St. Louis Cardinals sending out Andre Palante for the start here while the Giants will counter with Justin Verlander and two options that necessarily haven’t been the most reliable for their respective teams for much of the season. However, I would definitely go out to say that Andre Palante has been the less reliable of the two. When you just look at his production in the month of August, the Cardinals were 0 and6 in his starts. They are 1-1 in Andre Palante’s last 12 starts. And in his last five starts, Palante over a combined 22 innings of work, a 9.82 ERA. That could have been a lot worse cuz there were a couple of unearned runs in there as well. And for me, it’s just hard to back Palante in that stretch. And it’s ironic because the pitcher that he’s going up against on the other side and Justin Verlander has kind of had that same issue early on this season where his team just could not back him up and could not win games with him on the mound. Now, last time we saw Verlander on the road gave up seven runs, six earned over four and a third innings of work against the San Diego Padres’s. However, I do think that Verlander will be a decent enough option in this game to be able to, you know, hold it down, get the job done. You know, Andre Palante, like I said, has just been very, very hitable. And when you look at the San Francisco Giants in the last two weeks against right-handed pitching, believe it or not, the San Francisco Giants are the best in baseball in team OPS, the best in baseball in batting average. Their isolated power numbers are top five. They’re doing a really good job against righties right now. Now, could the suspensions from that frecus against the uh against the the Colorado Rockies play a factor here? It potentially could. I’m not going to going to downplay that. However, I still think that, you know, the San Francisco Giants can get it done here. You know, the St. Louis Cardinals, their offense has been far too inconsistent for me to feel like I can trust here. Their bullpen has been solid. It’s right on par with San Francisco’s. Uh, but if you look at the St. Louis Cardinals in the last two weeks against righties, Cardinals team is hitting 202. The uh the team OPS numbers are fourth worst. The isolated power numbers are near the bottom of the league as well. So, you have two teams that are just in different form at the plate against right-handed pitching. Got to go with the hotter team here. I’m going to go with the San Francisco Giants in this one. That’s going to be my free pick.
