Castro is a zero
3 hits against this lineup isn’t going to get it done
Pitching good, offense bad. Let’s get them tomorrow.
I remember the stats on screen showing the Nats having the highest bullpen ERA post all-star break. Coulda fooled me considering how this game went.
But then again, they scored all those runs yesterday. That’s baseball I guess.
Way too many terrible baseball players batting in that inning for a comeback chance

That game sucked and now our playoff odds might drop to 99.8% smh
This one is on the offense
Terrible offensive showing from pretty much the entire lineup today.
Literally allergic to streaking. What’s the longest winning streak this year?
1 run, 3 hits against the 57-84 Nationals…. Let that sink in.
Losing 2 to 1 at home in a pennant race is certainly a vibe. Hope PCA is OK.
The cubs love playing down to their opponent, it’s like they see an ERA above 4 and just assume they’ll win it. Also why do they HATE letting a rookie call up hitting? Have they not seen the brewers crushing it by giving the new kids a runway?
And just like that the offense disappears a day after scoring 11 runs against a bad Nationals team. This is the 2nd outing Boyd had against Washington this season in which he didn’t get much run support
3 hits, 7 WALKS, 3 DOUBLE PLAYS, 1 RUN. No sugar coating this. Terrible offensive performance against a bad pitching staff. Not many balls hit hard either.
1 run against the nats is wild
That mighta been the worst game I’ve watched this season lol at least Boyd looked good
Every time you think they’re bouncing back on offense they go and do something like this

Hate to sound like a doomed but this line up is gonna get eaten alive by a playoff rotation
Cubs are very allergic to being 22 over .500
Good bounce-back game for Boyd but my god 3 hits and 1 run against them is inexcusable. I just hope they saved up the offense for tomorrow because I have no idea how Colin Rea is gonna do against them tomorrow
Not a great Saturday.
Why didn’t Alcantara bat?! A fresh young bat versus Grandpa Turner? I also didn’t agree w/putting Santana in over Busch. Terrible managing today. Feel better PCA, that was quite a knock on your knee. I still can’t believe how much we pay Counsell. 😡
Offense likes to take a siesta while Boyd’s pitching. 2nd time Boyd’s gone 7.0+ innings and 2 runs against WSH, and he’s 0-2 in these games.
What a dumb game. Just win tomorrow.
Was today Sunday? Sure felt like it watching this ballgame lol
Attempt 2 at getting 22 games over .500 – 0/2
Oh well. Flush it and win a series tomorrow.
Very winnable games, pretty lackluster effort.
Snoozefest. Get well soon PCA!
Nice outing from Boyd after the 1st inning. Cubbies will rebound manana!
The Nats mailed it in long ago, you really can’t lose to this team right now.
That was the type of game that happens when I convince someone to watch baseball who’s never watched baseball and then they never watch baseball again.
This team just refuses to get hot again. Treading water against dog shit competition doesn’t really inspire much confidence for the postseason.
We dont go on streaks, this is kinda how we play. Its whatever, im focused on the postseason and anything can happen there. We got a good squad when they hit.
Absolutely terrible
I just hope Pca is okay
Just can’t get any momentum, even against bad teams.
For once, I’d like this team to score at least 4 runs after putting up 10+ the day before. Especially against the team with the worst ERA.
Games like that can’t happen on September 6th…
