Tell em Jazz
That is close, bro
Oh he’s been nonstop and I need him to stfu tbh
Bad on the ump for blowing the call, of course, but good on him for letting Jazz have his say and not getting in his own feelings over it. Like Paulie says, the way it should be.
It was super close. But Jazz has continuously been called out on balls just outside the zone. He looks like he’s about to lose it. Can’t blame him.
Someone said this in a game thread. It’s almost like they know they’re being replaced by AI soon enough so why not fuck around?
I feel like every time I see these on Reddit, it’s always Jazz getting screwed
People saying he needs to shut up – I’d agree with you… if he was wrong – he’s getting screwed on these calls, they’re outside the zone.

To be clear, I don’t think that ball could have been any closer without it actually being a strike lol. Still frustrating.
He should risk the big fines and call it out to reporters even more. They’re taking money out of his pockets by screwing him over like this, put them on blast. Why is it umpires are given power over managers and players but have no system of accountability?
Jazz is based as usual
The umpiring has been particularly suspect lately.
Umpires have to be going this on purpose
That was a fuccin ball
Brian Walsh’s mentor calls a low ball a strike.
It wasn’t the most egregious call in the world at all and I respect the ump for having a long leash here, but I don’t think it’s an insane/biased take to say that I get Jazz’s frustration after the team has been dramatically unfavored by the umpiring for 3-4 games in a row now.
The technology says it’s a ball. It’s got to be so hard to see if a ball is 1/2” outside the zone. If it’s close, protect the plate.
Ban catchers from that bullshit post-catch movement. It’s pure cheating.
He has the right to complain. He’s been right
Umps might be calling Jazz super close for showing them up
I really can’t blame Jazz, he gets burned on calls a lot.
Good job by the ump NOT tossing him – but he is building his rep – he will start to get tossed and hurt the team, but hey – It’s all about the swagger!!! This is a pitch that could go either way, he was clearly out at second – He needs too think about how the team would be hurt if he gets tossed
I feel bad for Jazz at this point. Shit must be infuriating
Jazz is turning into the new Rasheed Wallace with how much he’s getting screwed.
He’s been right pretty much every time. But, the more he reacts like this, the more the umps are going to keep targeting him and pressing him.
he’s speaking for all of us.
Bad call, but good on that ump for not tossing Jazz. We’ve seen guys get tossed for less by some fragile egos.
Kinda started as his knees at the plate then went below.
Not the worst call tbh. We’ve seen worse all week. Surprised the ump let him go on for that long. Props for not having rabbit ears.
Too close to take with two strikes. Swing the fcukin bat!
Gotta say I have a lot of respect for any ump that can react like that at least. Nothing worse than clown ass umps that act like tough guys when a player argues with them
He’s been victimized almost as much as Judge lately and he ain’t 6 fucking 7
Jazz: launches a Gatorade cooler
Paul O’Neill: “Ya know, that’s the way it should be right there…”
I think they need to talk to him about letting it go. These worthless Umpires are protected by their Union no matter how shit they are.
He’s only going to get more bad calls and get tossed by acting out every time
Calling the umpire “bro” is very rude. He’s lucky he didn’t get ejected, especially turning back and swearing even more afterwards. Thankfully he didn’t chuck the helmet or the bat, which he clearly thought about, then he was definitely going to get tossed. Also, that pitch was close. I always remember if you’re batting with two strikes, there are pitches that are “too close to take”. Lots of batters do this today and it’s frustrating. It’s like the player is looking for a walk rather than a hit.
