Padres vs. Rockies Game Highlights (9/6/25) | MLB Highlights
We welcome you back to Denver, Colorado at Coors Field where today we play game two, the middle game of a three game series between the San Diego Padres and the Colorado Rockies. So the Padres find themselves two games back of L A ready for baseball. Mccabe Brown on the bump. He had a 247 earned run average in 20 minor league starts this year. That is quite impressive. Two ground ball outs for mccabe Brown, Manny Machado. He goes to it again. He gets weak contact and that is a three ground ball outs for mccabe Brown. He did it in 10 pitches. Padres have lost five in a row and they look to turn it around tonight as they hand the baseball to Randy Vasquez. He’s been out a while but he’ll be back with the Padres tonight and on the hill, see what he can do tonight. And two down here’s the hot hunter takes it the other way to right field. Fernando coming in a few steps to make the catch for out number three and a 123 bottom of the first inning turned in by Randy Vasquez. Head to the second no score in Denver in the DH tonight, 10 pitch is down and in, hit him on the foot and will just kind of flip the elbow guard up in front of home plate and take his base. Here’s ramon Loo, the left fielder, having a very good season rips one into left field. That’s a base hit. Beck will play on a hop, send it in o’er, an aggressive turn at second but he stays there. Padres in business with two on and nobody out in the top of the second inning. And that was the Padres first hit of the game. Jackson Merrill, the next hitter went zero for three with a strikeout last night and again, he misses badly and he got hit again. What in the Doc Ellis is going on here? Second batter has hit this inning. Hit her to be in the inning. Bases loaded. Nobody out. You got to make this the veteran run off. The pitcher kicks out the shortstop. They will get nobody and run will score. Padres take a 10 lead kicks out to, to and he can’t do anything with it. Padres take the lead one to nothing. Padres on the board. He is reloaded. Nobody out run in freddie Fermin will be next year for San Diego grounded down the line at third. That’s a fair ball headed to the left field corner from third. Liano will score Merrill behind him from first base Conor to be stopped at third, two more runs are in though and the Padres take a 30 lead. That’s exactly what the Padres need here. Crooked number, everybody’s off and running, getting their steps in and that elusive first half here at the top of the second inning for the Brown down in the inning and here’s fernando sending one deep and far to deep left center field back goes Doyle at the wall. Paul is gone three run home run for Fernando Padres take a 6 to 0 lead home run number 20 of the year for Tatis Jr oh Nando and they double the lead at six to chip away. Good news. It’s early be one out of four in last night’s game had an RB I infield single in the fifth inning and a ground ball on one hop. The shortstop mccoy’s got that fires to first base high, throw safe at first base. He pulled the eye off the bag and Jordan be hustling down the line is safe at first. The Rockies can take advantage. Here’s Brent and Doyle can make the catch to teams hoping about right at third and coming home, he’s back. He has scored the scoring double for Doyle 6 to 1 as the Rockies take advantage of the error. Merrill makes an incredible attempt at this in right center but he can’t corral it in just outside of the reach and for Jordan coming around third base , he cuts his tight. But if you watch in the background, you’ll see Ezekiel Tova telling him where to go. Slide. Rockies are on the scoreboard. Ezekiel Tovar. Now the hitter with that man at second, nobody out and a base hit to right. Got to it 1st and 3rd to press the issue with noah out. Cars coming up next on two strikes to Carros swinging a, got him on the sweeper out of the inning 1st and 3rd. It brings up burnable. This is right side, overran it for a moment. Tovar stops at second and a base hit and an RB I for warming Bernabe. Look at how much he breaks down that left arm to get in. Look at how far he let that travel. That was almost behind him. Really good job hit right there. The Southern Rockies get two back to the sixth run. Top of the second inning held hitless last night. He was zero for four back to the mound. Vasquez will try to start it for two to second for one on to first. There is two. He needed that and he got it. Rockies get a couple Padres ahead 6 to 2, getting good human points right here. My first baseball game and she gets rewarded. Look at that, a Rockies fan for life now and one out here in the top of the fourth inning bases empty one out for Fernando. Big three run homer. His last time up his last time out this call to deep left center. It’s out there by Doyle’s 421 ft to the shut out right there. Doyle knows the ballpark as good as anyone who’s ever played there. Stays with it a couple times that last little stepping a jump into the wall, raised himself perfectly. Two outs. Luis Araz. This one is lined in the center field. A base hit for Luis Araz. A two out knock. Here’s Machado. Machado hits this ball to deep right center field, caught it and Then banged into the wall for out number three, a clinic from Brenton Doyle Jordan reached on a throwing error by the shortstop mccoy and scored the first of the two Rockies runs in the second. He’ll hit this at mccoy who knocks it down but Then can’t find it. It will be an infield hit for Jordan Beck. Number one, he Tovar with a base hit his first time up and the 1st and 3rd 1 out Kyle Carros with a second chance with a man in scoring position. Fly ball short right field in comes fernando and he’ll make the catch way too close for Bec to try it and the throw wildly on to try and score, but he will be out through home and got back by about 10 ft to end the inning. Top of the fifth inning. Padres come to bat with Ryan o’hearn against the new Colorado pitcher. It is Roan Contreras jammed in a little pop up, everybody’s coming but the pitcher wants it now he’s going to give way, it’s gonna be dropped. Carros trying to come up over the top of the mound. Take it, catch it. Contreras has got to take charge. You got guys busting their tail coming in their eyesight. Then the mound yard sale, it’s one I’ll never understand. I mean, break for San Diego. That’s awesome. How about a grass sandwich? Take advantage of that two away in the top of the fifth with two away and runner at first four and down to first base goes, Kronor have runners at 1st and 2nd 2 away line to left field of base hit for Fermin from second comes over her. He will score. Padres take a 72 lead. Freddie Fermin is driven in three and it is diving at third base cars run score and the Padres have their six run lead back again on top 82 and two from hil line to left and that’s in for a base hit. They will stop the runner at third and is cut off and the bases are loaded for San Diego. Bases filled with Padres for Luisa down the left field line that’s going to get in for a base hit. One run is in, here comes another and the Padres will score two and take a 10, 2 lead double digits. Now, in that our column out there a big 10, we look at the highest lug in the national league this season, hunter Goodman, sitting there in fifth place behind Shhe Schwarber, Corbin Carroll and kyle Stoer having an incredible season for the Marlins. See if Goody can get himself a little more slut and get himself closer to 30. He’s got his 29th. Take a good look. You see this. He’s listed, he’s eaves drop record for Thunder Catcher Big Drive in the month of September of 500. I tell you what if he’s not the national league player of the week. I’m, I’m gonna want to see the numbers of who beats him out. 10 3, Padres after six, Jeremiah Strata comes on to pitch warming Bell will lead off of the Rockies here in this seventh inning. This call to deep left off the middle of that and has himself a double. That’s good to see one down in the bottom of the seventh inning and Freeman takes eyeball four. So two men aboard against Estrada here in the bottom of the seventh inning. 10 pitch Smoak hit that up the middle into center field. It’s a base hit, it’s going to score a run. Freeman will get to third base and Mickey Moniak comes up with an RB I single. Rockies try to hang in there. They make it 10 to 4. San Diego. Now in the seventh inning, two on two out now for be third moniak an R B I single at first. It’s a short stride, get on top 447 ft later. It a three game and it’s been a while first hard for Jordan back since August the third against the Pirates Rockies within three in the seventh leadoff walk here in the bottom of the eighth inning. First out here, there’s a ground ball to the right side. Tovar is going to go for three Tatis throw is not in time tying run coming up and Yaqui Fernandez will pitch it for Ritner to second and Conor will go to second base for one on to first. That’s two huge double play and the Padres turn it and we go to the ninth inning. That’s out. Number one Mickey with an RB I single in the seventh inning and was cut. Nicky take it. Now you got a change up that hung up, belt high on the outside part of the plate, tied it up perfectly. He’ll pull it into the bullpen. He’s still not done yet. Padres are an out away from snapping a five game losing streak. He had two hits tonight and a ground ball up the middle. Look at the top run to the plate and Brett, no stranger to ninth inning dramatic and it goes again and a fly ball to right field, ryan and Fernando Hill make the catch in the Padres win. So the fly out to right and the Padres of Victoria’s five game losing streak comes to an end.

This was a much needed win, but still, not an impressive win. If this teams wants to succeed, Schidlt really needs to lock in.
Go Padres
Padres win and dodgers lose horribly from no hitter to walk off. Today was a good day!
Yes! Whoooooooooooo!!🎉🎉Now THAT'S more like it! That's how you take care of business against a bad team, unlike the overrated Dogturds of LA! Now just keep it going for a little longer, and you'll have the NL West title in your sights! Rangersforever❤
We won but we kinda didn’t
Freaking finally. Ok I'm going to bed now
Thank you Lord for giving us ALL the talents and abilities to perform for your Glory. Amen.
A win is a win. Padres snap their losing streak
Can we just appreciate what happened in the Dodgers game? OH MY f GOD
6:53 sums up the Rockies this year Lol 😅
Padres were bound to win eventually but only when you pit them up against an opposing pitcher with a 12.54 ERA. Good god. And they only ended up winning by 2 runs even with that advantage. That is truly sad. If you think this is a glimmer of hope, think again. They just played a really bad team against a very bad pitcher. The padres are the same padres.
ROCKIES AT 62 GAMES UNDER .500, 40-102! 20 GAMES LEFT TO WIN 2!! the dj

We have to do something about this situation where we score 10 points and they score 8.
-1.5 was a sweat after Padres being up 6-0 in the 1st 😂😂
