The final spot in the rotation has a lot of question marks to finish out the 2025 season. Should the Rockies consider calling up Gabriel Hughes or Sean Sullivan? Evan discusses it in the Monday Rockpile!

  1. A good run down of pitchers the Rockies have that are close to the majors, but it really read as this is all we got, and it’s not great.

Most of these pitchers are not major league ready and may never be major league pitchers.

As for this year, it probably doesn’t matter. Next year the Rockies have to add to their starting pitcher mix. I get that only the desperate ones would come to Denver, but the organization has to try to add big league arms.

  2. Rockies need a whole overhaul of the starting rotation. The offense is shaping up to be solid but you can’t win games down a bunch of runs early. These starters are putting the team in a whole so early in the game. The bullpen seems solid for the most part. I’d cut bait with Marquez and Senzatella for one. They should look to spend money on the free agent market if they can at starters if they can get anyone to sign here.
