[Kevin Acee] Michael King is expected to return from IL and start Tuesday against the Reds. That would give him time for four starts before postseason. Padres believe that is sufficient ramp-up for King to give them what they need in postseason start(s).

Lfgsd!!!!

Cautiously optimistic.
Then he will be out again. Can he finally not get injured
This would be huge. 🤞🤞
Excellent!

Meanwhile, when we get to starting lineup time on Tuesday
please stay healthy, my King
I disagree. Assuming he is not back on the IL next week, he won’t be ready for intense playoff action. I know this is an unpopular opinion but it needs saying.
Padres pitching is their biggest ? going into the playoffs, assuming they get there. Most other contenders have much better starting pitchers.
Now we ride
People need to chill. He’s not going more than 5IP in the postseason regardless. He can easily get to 5 innings in 4 starts, especially since he was going 4 in rehab.
If he can hold a lead or at least keep us tied in a game, that’s all we need right now. He should only go 3-4 innings the first 2 games. Then push him to 5-6 for the last two. If our starters can get on track before the postseason, we can really go far in the postseason.
King at 70% can’t be worst than Nestor or Sears

I’ll be at Tuesday’s game so this would be nice to see.

I’m ready for another one of these.
Most fragile human body in the mlb
I’d guess something like a 75 pitch limit, then 85, then 95.
I’ve been tricked before
Feels a lot like what happened to Musgrove to be honest.
Huge. The Padres need to make a run these last 3 weeks to have momentum into the playoffs.

At this point, save him for the playoffs cuz I aint believing shit until he throws a ball in a real game
Great news. Hope it sticks this time. We need a little royalty heading into the post season.
