  1. According to the GDT, Cubs are going to miss the playoffs and should part ways with Shota Imanaga.

  2. That PCA ground out on a wide ball at 0-0 with the bags juiced against a tiring pitcher was one of the worst AB’s of the year. Utterly putrid, thick baseball!

    Bear down!!!

  3. Least exciting playoff bound team this year.  They will be swept out of the playoffs unless this offense can collectively pull their heads out of their asses and play situational baseball again.  It’s honestly a miracle they still hold the top WC spot massively thanks to pitching staff.

  4. Maybe this Tucker calf injury is some Machiavellian ploy by Tucker to prove his value for the FA market by showing how the offense is even more uninspired when he’s out of the lineup.

  5. It’s been rough..

We can only hope they figure it out down the stretch and really put it together offensively.

These series against the Mets and even the Reds.. just got a bit more important. Especially with how we’ve been playing lately..

  6. 3rd time in less than a week that the offense has only scored 1 run. If they can’t hit against under .500 teams, they might go out quickly in a wild card series

  7. 2nd time in the past week of making Bryce Elder, one of the worst pitchers in baseball, look like a Cy Young candidate

  8. This team still coasting on a ~2 month hot streak to start the season. Just playing mostly boring/bad baseball since then.

  9. At this point, I am less concerned about the central title. The brewers can have it. Let’s just get to the playoffs healthy and see if we can catch lightning in a bottle

  10. Happened to be in Atlanta this week so I’m going Wednesday…then saw it’s Sale vs Assad so that dampens my excitement a bit. Here’s hoping we can rip off 2 in a row

  11. The bats are mediocre. The bullpen has regressed. The starters are what they have been – short an ace. The coaching is stubborn to outright head scratching. Wildcard and bounce is a pretty safe bet.

  12. Nice to see Caleb Williams motivated by his well paid coach. Unlike anyone on this Cubs roster
