Phillies fan dad says leave woman alone after home run ball controversy

Philadelphia Phillies fan Drew Feltwell expressed concern that the uproar over a woman who demanded a home run ball that Feltwell had just given to his 10-year-old son could go too far.
He said scores of people have said they will get the ball back from the angry, unidentified woman.
“Please don’t do anything to that lady,” Feltwell told USA TODAY Sports. “Leave it alone. You know, somebody knows her and can talk to her, that’s different. But God, I don’t want people breaking in their house and stuff like that. The internet already messed her up pretty good.”
Agreed. Just becuase she is a giant asshat, everyone else shouldnt be one too. Be the better person.
Yes leave her alone, but also why is this guy on tv everyday? I don’t want to see him on tv either he didn’t do anything to merit it. The morning after was ok, but he was on a daytime talk show this morning. Why is he on a whole press tour about this ?

This dude is such a class fucking act! When the Marlins came over to give them stuff and mentioned it was his son’s birthday he couldn’t even let that slide and immediately told the girl interviewing them it was “in a couple days” because he is an impeccably honest dude.

The Phillies Dad has the right idea. The internet has already made her look like the jackass she is and now she has to live with it. His kid got an infinitely cooler experience after she snatched that ball away so they definitely got out ahead in the end.

I got some good advice from a wise friend many years ago: If someone wrongs you or is obnoxious or rude, just think less of them. It does you no good to go and be vindictive. Just think less of them.
I tend to agree with him. I don’t see any benefit to destroying this woman’s career or jeopardizing her safety.
She was an asshole in that situation, but nobody was really harmed. Time to move on.
This is scary territory for me. The internet basically latches on to one or two stories every couple weeks, doxes the offenders, and makes their lives hell. Coldplay concert folks…funny but did they really deserve that for the high crime of infidelity?
This kid got to meet Harrison Bader and get a signed bat. I think things like the LOTR memes are hilarious and we should point and laugh…but the genuine hate coming her way probably says more about the people doing it than a lady who just wanted a home run ball and was willing to be a complete ass to get it.
