If Giddey plays closer to his 2nd half than his 1st half last season then this deal is a bargain for the Bulls. Surprised Giddey was willing to go the full 4 years since he wasn’t getting the amount he wanted.
Good move for an aggressively mediocre franchise.
Dont hate it honestly. Heck, if Giddey can continue his improved shooting from last season(he needs more volume and better pullup) then I see it as a good deal
on one side i ask who are you bidding against. on the flip side its good for the player to feel like the org believes in u and it could boost his confidence.
Very fine deal for Giddey. Still young, 25 is solid starter money. I think he’ll continue improving. 16/8/8 sounds solid for him. Bulls gotta drop Vooch and a better wing scorer
That is such a *fair* deal. $25M for a young player who is not a superstar but can be a star. Not a defensive wiz but can get boards. Not a primary score but can drive to 12-20 a night. I remember enjoying him 1-3rd as in the 4th he would always sit if the Thunder were behind in favor of Wiggins/Joe as he was not a spark player nor was he capable of “locking down” defensively. As I did not watch the Bulls I don’t know if he finally gained that 4th quarter skillset.
He’s not perfect but shit, one day he may find his way as an All-star reserve that gets up in there from injury and that’s great, right?

I like this deal for Giddey he gets paid but it’s also not so astronomical that the expectation is All NBA level of player night in and night out. I think there is a world where the third and 4th years of this deal this looks like an absolute steal for the bulls
