Probably the worst half inning I have ever witnessed as Cruz and Leiter combined to give up eight runs and didn’t get a single out now 11-2 Tigers

  1. This was absolutely terrible but surely the meltdown in the World Series was worse.

I at least turned this one off after it was 6-2 but felt obligated to watch the whole World Series disaster

  2. This is giving me flashbacks from the WS. Just put it in play. Seriously, how difficult is it to bunt, I’d think if you were struggling you’d work a bit harder on fundamentals

  3. Is there a reason Leiter wasnt let go around the trade deadline? He hasn’t done anything worth watching for a very long time

  4. I’m worried about even getting a single win in the playoffs with this bullpen in this state.

  5. I wish I could find the post. Some dude posted that he couldn’t take watching Leiter all season back in like April. Then a month later a different Redditor tried to dunk on him by calling them out, showing how great Leiter had been for like….a month. Mark Leiter Jr. Is and always will be a trash pitcher.

  6. I turned the game on in the 7th when Cruz already had bases loaded with no outs.

Did Warren go 6? What was his pitch count?
It seems like there’s this default philosophy of letting the starter go 6 and then going to the pigpen. Why can’t we let starting pitchers work into late innings? We know what kind of stink the pigpen is capable of.

  7. Should have left Leiter in to finish the game so the bullpen wouldn’t be wasted. After the game they should then give Leiter his unconditional release 👍
