In a battle of guys who got traded for each other at one point, it was the former Cardinal who got the upper hand in this one. Hey, it’s JD from Lockton Cardinals. And there’s been plenty of discussion over the years about the trade that sent Randy Aroena to the Tampa Bay Rays with Matthew Liberator coming back to the Cardinals and how lopsided this trade has been. Tuesday night, they got to face each other. A Rosarena now in the Seattle Mariners. Libby starting for the Cardinals. And this round goes to A Rosa Raina who hits a three-run bomb off Libby in the third inning to give the M’s a three-2 lead. Then he hits a sack fly off Libby in the fourth inning. Makes it five to three. Finishes the game with four RBI’s. He’s now got 12 RBI’s in 11 games against the Cardinals in his career. Josh Naylor also hit a big time home run off Libby who falls to seven and 12 on the year. Nolan Gorman, Thomas JCI, and Jose Fine get the RBI’s for the Cardinals who are now two games under 500 and will try to avoid the sweep in Seattle with Michael McGrevy on the mound on Wednesday night.
