I know many of yinz including myself don’t like PFF, but for the most part…I know Peppers had some good highlights..

It’s a nice data point, but we’ll learn more from people breaking down his film.
He also has a 9.1 ras
I mean okay he also just got cut by the Pats
I think his versatility is more attractive to us than his PFF grade in a different system.
He got cut because of scheme issues. He’s still a good player. Honest to God, if losing Elliot for only three weeks gives us peppers the rest of the season this is a good deal. I felt like we were weak at safety, but once Elliot’s back, I feel very good about this team.
This is why you, unless you have Kyle Hamilton, you don’t pay market rate for a safety. Lots of guys are good at the position.
It’s ok, once he joins the Steelers, Collinsworth will order the reduction of his PFF score by 30 points
Why is he available then?
PFF isn’t gospel but regardless peppers is still an effective player. Just a reminder, PFF gave rodgers and broderick the same score this week despite him have 4 PTD and zero turnovers.
Why didn’t any other team pick him up earlier?
Hope he plays well but our defense fr has to step up
I no longer trust PFF after eating Rodgers 26th in week 1…same as Broderick Jones. Nasty work. I’m looking at PFF with side eye until further notice..
That sounds great or there is no way I can trust that service based on my own eyeballs. Basically it’s worthless as an evaluation tool.
Cool. PFF is still nonsense.
Why did the Patriots release him then instead of trading him? Surely a top 4 safety getting paid like the 16th best safety would have trade value.
On other threads pats fans are saying he got cut because:
– Wasn’t a scheme fit
– Injured his hamstring and became slow/a liability
– He always tries to go for huge hits instead of wrapping up tackles
which means nothing bc PFF is a fucking joke.
He is good but plays old school style ball in terms of scheme fit. Needless to say he may do well here
