  1. while not the biggest fan of bud black.. the whole narrative that shaffer is a far superior then black since he has posted a better season win percentage is rather disingenuous.. yes the team won 7 games and lost 33 under black.. but do you really think they would have finished with just 28 wins under black and lost 132.. personally think schaffer is rather an enigma.. his interview with spilly was awkward and came across like a bad first date.. rather then two people in the organization simply needed to do organizational business.. he is short and rather miffed to answer softball questions in post game presser’s.. and while the broadcast booth likes to remind me he likes to play aggressive baseball.. that is rarely shown.. i still cannot forgive him for pitching to woods.. or his refusal to bunt a guy to third in xtra’s.. his refusal to use an opener for kyle.. (who has lead mlb in 1st inning runs allowed for the past 3 yrs).. listen i get it.. he has a tough job with a dogsh*t roster which is like re-arranging chairs on the titanic.. and maybe he is handcuffed in managerial moves that i clearly dont see or know about.. and maybe he’s playing possum until he can secure a 2yr guaranteed deal and get the nut.. so on the fence with schaffer.. if we sign him fine.. sign another guy fine.. cannot imagine being the rockies manager is a sought after gig with ex managers.. but jesus i do want this team to roster some better players.. and hell a new batting coach is A MUST!..

  2. I’m sorry, but making him the permanent manager does nothing for me. This team needs to stop being so goddamn insular and look outside the organization. Warren Schaeffer is just another club lifer like all the other clowns in upper management of this organization.
