  1. “Just” 11 miles into the heart of LA?! Lol…that’s at least an hour and a half if he has to get to the arena by 6pm for shoot around or something.

  2. I thought the post said “11 minutes away,” which would have made it funny. But 11 miles in many cities can take a while, especially in LA. Even in a city like Portland it can take 30-40 minutes with traffic.

  3. I live in Miami. My job is 9 miles away and it take me an hour to drive there. Throw in a major event like Ultra, Art Basel, Rolling Loud, or Boat Week it’s a wrap. So I kinda understand

  4. In LA, distance is measured in time, not miles.

Bynum lives about an hour away from the arena. An hour and a half isn’t unusual during rush hour if there’s literally any kind of accident or construction.

He left at 5 and thought he was safe.

  5. Still if you live in LA you should know 11 miles is a long drive and leave early as hell. I live in the same city I work and it takes me 45 minutes to get there despite being 6 miles.

  6. Westchester is by the airport, Staples is by downtown. It’s a 30 minute drive through the streets, and 25 with the freeways with no traffic. He definitely waited and hit traffic jams.

  7. 11 miles in Los Angeles my dude. 5 lanes one way, congested as fuck, bumper to bumper. That’s LA.

  8. Fun fact.

Most people in LA won’t know how far 11 miles is.

We go by units of time.

How far is LA to Orange County? “About 45 minutes”

  9. Tell me you’ve never commuted in a big city without telling me you’ve never commuted in a big city.

  10. “Just 11 miles away” in Los Angeles is not the same as “just 11 miles away” in say Minnesota.

Tell me you’ve not been to Los Angeles without telling me OP
