Finally got the illustrious win 83. Have a great offseason boys, you earned it!
A peaceful 9th? What the hell is this

Gritty, greasy series win. Injuries, cold bats whatever, this team continues to battle. Just keep getting everyone healthy, keep control of the 4 seed in playoffs, and maybe our May bats come around and we run the table. Idk.
Good series win, I will be emotional for Anthony Rizzo retirement things this weekend
We have matched last year’s win total with 16 games left!
Magic number: 8
Magic Number for any Wild Card: 8 (Giants)
Magic Number for Home Field Advantage in WCR: 14 (Padres)
All things considered, that was about as low-stress of a one-run win as they’ve had in quite a while. Braves didn’t really threaten again after they scored their second run and the Cubs’ pen did an excellent job of piecing together those final outs.
Also feels good to get both of those wins with what is objectively two of their junkier lineups they’ve had out there this year.
Great pitching performances for the Cubs tonight. Great to see the team score a few off Sale and knock him out of the game. Took the series.
Notable defensive plays by Castro and Santana. Turner with the RBI double. I hope PCA is ok.
From a baseball perspective, pretty cool day
I’m glad they aren’t doing the Indian chop anymore
Nice game for Nico. The bullpen shut the Braves down the rest of the game. Now it’s time for the offense to get going
W
Easiest 9th we’ve had in a while it seems
Harder than it needed to be but a win is win!
Man, Sale’s still got it, huh? Wow. Good thing our boys were one run better.
Feels awfully therapeutic winning a series in both Colorado and Atlanta late in a baseball season
6 series wins in their last 8

Santana 🤣
Nico is having such an amazing year. Top 5 in the NL in batting average and WAR. Top 10 in steals as well.
Even if the Braves aren’t that good this year that’s the first series win in Atlanta since 2018. Bear Strider and Sale. Gotta feel good about this.
Do we hit 90 game wins? We’re close to it
Can’t believe that lineup actually worked. Congrats Cubs on your 83rd win.

Cubs win!
Padres blow another game late and the cubs now have a 4 game lead on them and 7 on the Mets.
Same results as yesterday, Cubs win, Brewers, Padres and Mets all lose.
Cubs are now up to 99.9% chance of making playoffs per ESPN.
Wow great W for tonight!
