What are your expectations for Jake LaRavia this season?

NBA finals champion
39%+ on 3pt shooting, being an avg to above avg defender as a 3 or 4, a 3rd option bucket getter at all times on the court if offense stails out, and being that bridge player in btw Rui offense and Vando defense, so a mixture of those 2. If he does all that, I’d say he’s a steal on the cheap contract he’s on
finals mvp
MVP and scoring leader , also dpoy
3 and D rotational player
Hoopin
Saw Jake during wake forest days. He is tougher than most people think. Hopefully, he fits right in.
Off the bench in DFS role in rotation.
Prime LeBron
Great shooter/Do-it-all swingman off the bench. With him and Rui, the Lakers should always have a deadeye in the corner and they should find ways to play both of them together to really open up the floor.
Competing with smart to be our 6th man off the bench. Fight hard to be our premier two way wing. Basically what you’d wish vando could be
Low
I’m a lakers fan so obviously my expectations are reasonable. I’m thinking Larry bird prime this season or he’s a bust.
More than 5ppg in the playoffs
Finals mvp trust
I see someone who steps up big time on the defensive end this season. He knows that’s how he’s gonna get minutes
Better than DFS both offensively (putting the ball on the floor) and defensively (young legs wants to prove himself)
Scrappy, high energy 3&D. Basically a younger, taller DFS
High energy knock down shooter. Gonna get exposed on defense sometimes I fear, against players like Chet, Kristaps, or even Evan Mobley.
somehow in someway they all forgot how to shoot the moment they become a laker, GABE VINCENT, MALIK BEASLEY, MALIK MONK, BEN MCLEMORE
10 points and 5 rebs a game?
He’s been hired to be a cheap version of KCP/Allen in former LBJ title teams. A kind of 3&D that delivers the shots when everyone else is struggling.
That being said, I’m very doubtful of his capacity to be that guy. He can definitely shoot (don’t be biased by the numbers, he can be consistent) but endorsing the role takes a lot of self-confidence, which I’m not sure he has atm. Also he isn’t really a good defender yet.
I hope he makes me lie though.
I don’t have high expectations, but my prayers are for his and the Lakers success
a more versatile DFS, what he lacks on D will make up for in play making
I keep forgetting we added him, and every time i’m reminded I get excited. I think he’ll be a very pleasant addition and add some much needed shooting and defense, from a young player.
I’d be happy with a slightly worse version of DFS
I just want him to minimize his mistakes and have a big impact doing the little things that don’t show up on the stat sheet. and impact 3s
Just be him, thats it. Dont come here and shoot 27% from deep
discount DFS that we can develop like Rui and Austin
Honestly, wanna watch a good 20 games with him. I like the addition for y’all, but I don’t know how much I quite trust him. The hope is though he brings shooting at, at least, a 38% clip and is a versatile, rugged defender stepping in for charges, being willing to hustle for loose balls and on the boards, is a good connective passer on offense, and just being someone who plays his ass off every game.
I’m hoping he’ll shoot above league average from 3, and play solid defense on opposing wings
7.7 ppg 5.1 rpg 1.9 apg and very good defensive contributions
Big piece
6th-7th man
3&D Wing, playing DFS role, potentially one of the key pieces to win games
Current NBA is basically Wings League, even Guards has to have height & strength like Forwards or else it’s extremely tough to survive
6 man of the year
Scoring leader, Most improved player, all star selection, dpoy, mvp, finals mvp and nba champ
I’ll settle for NBA champ only though
A pretty good season
Wasn’t this just asked like 2-3 days ago?
>=DFS
He will play some minutes in the second halves of pivotal playoff games.
My expectation is this phenomenon called the LeBron effect combined with an equally potent Luka effect. Jake will be eating.
Are we supposed to expect something?
Quite literally just stand in the corner and wait for Bron to inevitably dot you with the widest 3s you ever have in your life lmao. No way he can’t atleast get 9-11 a game with how much attention reaves Ayton bron and Luka draw. ALL he has to do is stand in the corner like Klay or the wings
