NBA 2K26 NEW LOOK KNICKS vs PELICANS – FULL GAME

teams. Grant, you have to expect they’ll be relying on their front courts to get it done here. Yeah, I think that’s right, BA. It should be an oldfashioned battle amongst the bigs. And whoever gets the edge in that matchup, I think gets the W. But we’ll see. Now, New York starting five. We’ve got Mitchell Robinson. Jaylen Brunson is out there with Male Bridges. Then it’s OG Anobi. And it’s Towns in at the fourman position. They get it again. It’s Bridges on the wing. He’s guarded by Messi. Bridges passes to Robinson. Shot clock at four and he lays it up and in. Nice pass by Bridges. Just keeping his options open out there. And so it’s P with it. He brings it up for New Orleans. Pass to me. Now Williamson. Always a nice way to start. Makes his first one. Well, when you have a scorer as skilled as he is, you do everything you can to get him the looks he needs. Now, here’s Robinson. And here’s Brunson. Puts up a three. Missi grabs the board. And here’s P. Pass to me. Some nice passing by New Orleans here. Here’s Williamson. Oh, the dunk by Williamson. Zion giving the people what they want and making it look easy. Brunson passes to Anobi. Back to Brunson. Towns outside for three. Drops in the three. Rock solid screen right there. The defender got completely lost. Yeah, you’ve got to lock and trail hard. I can’t allow him a clean look for now. Now here’s Williamson. He can really read the floor. Precision pass in rhythm. New York has gone one for three from beyond the arc. Bridges outside to the inside and a big finish by Robinson. Well, sharp interior passing is so important. The best way to create high percentage buckets. Pool the pass to Williamson out to the right wing. The three is up and Trey Murphy hits from deep. Well, Murphy essentially lives on the ark. His job is to provide his team with consistent outside shooting. Well, Grant, when Zion is doing what he does best, it changes everything for the Pels. Yeah, he bends defenses and brings a force that few teams can answer. With him in rhythm, they’re not just dangerous, they’re different. I love this approach getting him involved early and it’s already paying off. Yeah. Well, his offensive contributions are going to be very important in this game. So, it’s good they’ve already got him in a rhythm. Now, here’s Williamson. Shot clock at six. It’s P on the wing. Launches it. Great positioning on the put back. Look at Murphy using his reach to grab the offensive rebound and make the most of the second chance look. And let’s send it over to Alli Leforce. Billy Green and I got a chance to talk for a bit. Well, right away, coach shared his thoughts on Jaylen Brunson. He said, quote, “He’s going to get hot. That’s just a fact. But the moment that happens, we hope to trap him, double him, and throw water on that fire.” There you have it. Sounds like coach is hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst when it comes to Brunson Ba. Back to you and Ally. Thanks. That’s good from Bridges. And since the turn of the century, diehard Knicks fans had dealt with some lean years, Grant. Until recently, no doubt, BA, and they’re happy to see meaningful games. The arrival of Jaylen Brunson just changed things, and they’ve gone all in to surround him with talent. Now, here’s Williamson. So, it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the active shooting. It has been special watching Zion since he came into the league, hasn’t it, Stan? Look, BA, I’ll tell you this. Zion is unique in the way he plays the game. Not many guys are even capable of doing the things he does. Players like him don’t come around often. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. No good on the free throw. Well, Grant, how do you slow down Zion Williamson? Oh, glad I didn’t have to. Ba, obviously you’ve got to play him for the drive and keep him in front of you. And when he gets anywhere near the paint, you have to bring the help. That one’s no good. And you look at Zion. His combination of size, speed, and strength can be extremely difficult for a defense to have to deal with. Now, here’s Bridges. And here’s Brunson from the arc. Sinks the tray. Defensively, you have to stay connected to him on the perimeter. Pelicans trail by four. [Applause] Cool outside. Pass to Williamson. It’s hauled in by Robinson. Well, give credit to the defense for cutting him off. Normally, that would be easy points for him at the rim. And Adobe for three. That one’s good. And it’s Towns with the assist. But look, Towns is not just a scorer. He’s a willing and capable playmaker as well. And so Willie Green decides to call a timeout. He might have seen something he needs to review with his guys. [Applause] [Applause] And so it’s P who brings up the ball for New Orleans. They trail by seven. Pass to Williamson and Muel Bridges picks up the foul. That’s his first foul. And so it’s New Orleans with it to the right side. And the whistle blows. It’s going to be on Zion Williamson. That’s foul number two for him. I love great defense. just quick to establish his feet and he takes the hit. And New Orleans making a change here. Alvarado’s checked in. Brunson passes to Anobi. Towns outside. Clock at six. Back to Anobi. Puts it up. And the rebound goes to the Pelicans. Well, and even though he couldn’t get that one to fall, that’s a shot they want him taking. Pass to me to stop the drought and that one drops. He’s got seven. [Applause] New York leading by five. Up top, Robinson. Back to Brunson. Anobi on the wing. Bridges passes to Towns. New York working the ball around now. Five to shoot outside. Brunson. Pass to Anobi beyond the arc. Tries to keep it alive. And out of bounds. New Orleans will have it. The Knicks making a switch here. Hart’s checked in. Alvarado with it. No points so far. Pass to Mei. Now P covered by Towns. Pool. The pass to Alvarado. Six to shoot. Pool outside. Three-pointer. Hart pulls it in for New York. They’ve got seven of 11 shots to find the mark. Here’s Brunson and he’s going for the oop here and stolen by Jones inside. It’s stolen by Hart. Oh, plenty of contact on that shot. Officials call the foul and he’ll take two free throws now. Heading play to stop that easy layup right there. I mean, make him earn it at the line. Let’s get a quick check of the scoring breakdown here for the Knicks. Well, the thing about hitting early threes, it spaces the floor and makes things a lot easier offensively. Another thing they’re doing well early on is passing the ball, spreading it around the floor and feeding guys who are well set up to score. And the new front office for New Orleans, aiming to set a high standard, Stan. Yeah, BA. Amidst some adversity with help, the Pelicans have to focus what’s in their hands to control and leave no stone unturned in chasing great. Clarkson’s checked in for New York. Now here’s Miy pass to Alvarado from about 16. Good. With defense that soft, you have to take them to task. Knicks leading by four outside Brunson. They set the pick back to Clarkson and stolen by Jones now. Pool. Now here’s Alvarado. Pass to Mei. Six on the shot clock. New Orleans needs to hurry. Late clock for three. Oh, poked away. New York has gone three of six shooting from beyond the arc. Over to the wing. Towns right side. Shot clock at five. Clarkson for three. That one’s good. And it’s Towns with the assist. Towns has got three assists now in this one. And so Willie Green decides to call a timeout. He’ll take the opportunity to regroup. For New Orleans, Sadi Bay. He’s checked in for Jones and Hawkins subbed in for Pool. Pelicans trail by seven now. Alvarado. Bay outside to the middle. Now here’s Robinson. He’s guarded closely outside. Brunson. Six to shoot. [Applause] Pass to me. Bay outside [Applause] right wing on the arc and it’s New York with a rebound. Here’s Brunson to the wing on the left. [Applause] Towns against Bay. [Applause] Towns passes to Brunson. New York needs to get one up quick. The timer ticks. Robinson can’t hit. Pelicans trail by seven. Let’s go now to the sideline and catch up with Alli Leforce. Hey guys, it was a lost season for the New Orleans Pelicans. Continued injury troubles derailing a team that when healthy looked capable of a top seed, leaving some wondering whether a curse needed lifting. But with some draft help and a still talented roster, the hope is this will be the year. Back over to you. Okay, Ally, thanks a lot. For the Knicks, Bridges, he’s checked in for Robinson. And it’s McBride in for Jaylen Brunson. And here’s McBride. No, no, no. Towns outside. A minute 53 left in the first. Bridges outside. Down to five on the shot clock. Clarkson for three. Two shots, two makes. Off to a good start. And early on they’ve been on a tear just getting whatever they want offensively. Yeah, I mean this is exactly how you want to start a game with a big offensive push and Hart throws it down. They’ve been very effective so far. A balanced attack at its best. Yeah. Now it’s all about maintaining this lead, but you can’t start playing it safe. You got to keep attacking and executing. Nails it from beyond the arc. This speaks to how confident Murphy is. Excellent at recognizing when to take these shots. [Applause] Towns with the ball now guarded by Bay. Hart with a screen on Bay. The shot by Towns. No good. You can’t ask for a cleaner look than that. He just couldn’t deliver. Right hand. Pass to Bay. There’s a screen and the Pelicans hit again from deep. Well, Bay knows his team needs this from him and he’s just finding ways to get productive at the ark. [Applause] Towns with the ball. He’s against me. Nails it from three. Hart’s got six points. And both teams running long range plays that are working well. You know, it’s become a three-point shooting league. Teams shooting a steady diet from outside. Now, here’s Alvarado and he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So, he’ll take two free throws. That’s on Male Bridges. New Orleans shooting their third and fourth free throw shots of the night. Shooting two. First one falls. He’s perfect from the line this time. I’m sure they don’t want to send him to the line. That has to be in their scouting report. From deep three-point range. No good. Misses at the buzzer. And that concludes the first quarter play. It’s the Knicks up by seven. And the second quarter about to get started. We’ll be back in a moment. And for those of you just tuning in. Second quarter action is where we are. And from what we’ve seen from New York, what’s it take so far? Well, it seems like they went in looking to do damage from long range and they face little resistance. Yeah. And when you’re fitting threes early, that opens up the floor and really helps your offense. So, here are the five from New York as they start the second. Filling out the wings, Clarkson and Bridges. Josh Hart is out there with Gershon Yabusale and it’s McBride in at the point guard position. Now here’s Clarkson. Pass to Yabush. Back to Clarkson from downtown. Rebounded by New Orleans. Alvarado with it. Starting the second quarter about a minute gone. Here’s Queen and again New Orleans. No good. Knicks leading by seven. Here’s Bridges. Pass to Hart. McBride on the wing. Ya. Screen on Bay. The shot from 20 ft out. No good on the shot. The Pelicans have got none of their first three shots to fall so far in the second. Lets it go from deep. Pure from three-point range. Ba’s got six points. All about confidence in these moments. Bay able to attack immediately. Screen by Hart to the paint. Oh, and he took a hard foul on the shot. So, he’ll head to the line to shoot a pair. It’s going to be on Sadiq Bay. And Grant, when talking about certain players, we hear expressions like he does the little things or he does the dirty work. What does all that mean exactly? You know, it’s about what doesn’t show up in the box score. Setting good screens, winning those 5050 balls, hustling back on defense. Often it’s just as important as putting up those points. [Applause] The first free throw is good. Movic, he’s checked in for Queen. And a switch here also for New York. And an Obi, he’s checked in for Clarkson. And both free throws good for Hart. Pelicans trail by six. And we’re about two minutes into the second quarter here. Alvarado outside. Bay outside. Let’s go with a three. The offensive rebound. Back to Alvarado. Bay outside. Clock at six. Pass to Alvarado. 43. Hart pulls it in. And so it’s Hart with it. He brings it up for New York. In the second quarter, they’ve given up just three points. McBride passes to Anobi. Back to McBride. The three out to Bridges. Fires the three. Two shots, two makes. Off to a good start. Oh, productive from back there. Bridges showing the range. Pass to Makovic. And here’s Bay. [Applause] And let’s talk by Bay. Hey, when in doubt, run the defender off the screen. And you know, with a result like that, we’ll see them run it again. Yeah, defensive breakdown there. Got to communicate and switch that screen. Now, here’s Bridges. He has six. Screen screen. Now here’s McBride and an Obi for three. And again, New York with the triple. Defensively, if you’re going to disrupt his rhythm, you have to put more pressure on Bay outside. Back to Alvarado. Pass to Hawkins. Here’s Makovic. He’s covered by Hart. Some nice passing by New Orleans here. Oh, stolen by Anadobi. Now here’s Yamos. Oh, they get a hand on it over Looney. Yamish can’t hit. Pelicans trail by 10 now. Alvarado now. Here’s Bayonovi covering. Pass to McBride. Just five on the clock. A little mid-range shot is up. It’s hauled in by New Orleans. Alvarado outside pass to Makovic. Bay outside to the wing right side. Hawkins and again New Orleans no good. Knicks leading by 10 for three. Bridges fires in the triple. Bridges has got six points in the quarter and just executing at a high level. I mean taking what the defense allows and putting in the work. Yeah, come on. They’re just having their way out there and continuing to press the advantage. Now here’s Looney. No made baskets yet. Gets the three to fall. And both teams running long range plays that are working. Well, you know, it’s become a three-point shooting league. Teams shooting a steady diet from outside. And so Mike Brown decides to call a timeout. A moment to rest and confer on the game plan. [Applause] Hey, hey, hey. And New Orleans will go for a different look here. Mei, he’s checked in for Looney. Williamson comes in for Makovich. Jones, he’s checked in for Bay. And it’s Pool in for Hawkins. Towns, he’s checked in for New York. Jaylen Brunson comes in for McBride. outside. Hart Brunson passes to Hart right side. An Adanobi. New York again. Can’t hit. Pelicans trail by 10. Pool outside. Pass to Williamson. Here’s me. Back to Williamson. Just five to shoot. Here’s Alvarado and it’s all from three-point range. New York has gone three of six from outside and the cat can leap. Towns with the big finish on the lob. Well, nice touch on the lob and towns made sure to finish the play. Alvarado the pass to Pool outside. Jones takes a three. Drains the triple. Jones has gotten himself going with a triple. His first basket of the game. And Jones is such a confident shooter, especially from outside the arc. [Applause] Adanobi passes to Hart. Here’s Towns covered by Williamson. [Applause] Towns getting it done under the hoop. Yeah, with his size and build, Towns can be very forceful inside and no one was able to stop him. Williamson outside. Alvarado outside the three and it’s New York with a rebound. Art’s got four rebounds now. Here’s Towns. Towns throws it down. I like that. Towns attacking the rim with intent. Pelicans trail by 13. Pool outside down low. Oh, and they immediately answer back with a dunk on the other end. He’s just an aggressive finisher there inside. Hey, when you got bounced like that, you feel like you can take on anybody. Now here’s Brunson and the ball goes out of bounds. Last touch by Towns. All right, Grant, can you talk about what Jaylen Brunson has brought to the Knicks? You know, BA, he’s made them relevant again. New York can be a demanding place to play with the expectations and the media, but he’s taken the bull by the horns and had immediate success. Trey Murphy, he’s checked in for the Pelicans. Clarkson’s checked in for New York. And so Willie Green decides to call a timeout. I think right now he might be looking at some adjustments. Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Get open. Get [Applause] here’s Miy finds Williamson. Shot clock at six. Pass to Jones [Applause] and rejected. Look at the vertical from Clarkson. Great job sending that shot back. Now here’s Brunson. Clarkson outside the three ball. Oh, his shooting remains on point. Three for four thus far. Well, that’s basically a warm-up three for him. The defense can’t allow him that caliber of attempt. Towns against Williamson. Jones feels it out [Applause] over Hart. The put back. It’s good on the put back. I always love the hard work on the glass. Just great activity. [Music] Brunson against Jones. Towns outside. Jacks up a three. They grab their own miss. Yep, that one’s good. Adanobi’s got five points in the quarter. Activity on the glass. That’s a possession that could have gotten away from them inside. It’s stolen by Hart. Let’s check in with our reporter Ally Leforce. Thanks a lot, Ba. Well, Jordan Pulled, he’s never shy. He said the big moments, end of the shot clock, end of the quarter, the end of the game, those are nothing. There’s real life stuff that people should use the word pressure for. Basketball might be a little nerve-wracking for like 30 seconds, guys. Back to you. He plays without fear. All right, Ally, thanks a lot. And here are the Knicks now. The Pelicans getting their last shot to go. Brunson misses Towns against P. And there’s the lob. Tipped. Williamson inside covering. Pool from long range pass Williamson [Music] outside Jones. There’s the triple. That’s good. And it’s Williamson with the assist. Jones has got six. That’s a good find from Zion. Showing off his vision there. And so Mike Brown decides to call a timeout. Coach probably just checking to make sure everybody’s on the same page here. [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Mitchell Robinson. He’s checked in for New York. Male Bridges comes in for Clarkson. Bridges against Pool. New York working the ball around now. Screen by Bridges. Six to shoot. Back to Towns over Williamson. Out of bounds. It’ll be Pelicans ball. Miscommunication often times leads to turnovers. That’s something they’ll want to discuss. [Applause] 46 seconds left in the first half. Pool the pass to Jones now. Mei Robinson defending. [Applause] Back to Mei. Outside Jones. Five on the clock. Pass to Pool. There’s the three. It’s called in by Robinson. Robinson’s got four rebounds now. And here’s Brunson. [Applause] Towns is screened on Jones. Here’s Brunson and it’s in. Oh, nails the buzzer beater. Are you kidding? and credit him for understanding the situation and coming through. Yeah, really a perfect way to finish that quarter on a strong positive note. And so it’s the New York Knicks. They lead by 11 as the quarter comes to a close. Hey, three points is better than two. They built this lead by tacking on that extra point at the end of possessions. Time for a quick break, then back to the action. And there wasn’t too much drama in the first half, but maybe things will tighten up here in the second. One guy who’s been getting it done is Trey Murphy. I like how they controlled the tempo and played to his strengths. Yeah, he’s found his spots, been patient with his shot selection, and it’s paid off for himself and the team. Pelicans trail by 11. Jones at small forward with Zion holding down the four. Trey Murphy out there with Jordan Pool. And it’s Mei in at the center position. So that’s the group out there for New Orleans. Oh, are you kidding me? Goodness. And there’s the slam dunk to finish it off. We’ve seen what this young man can do and we’re seeing it again here. Murphy having an outstanding game. And so it’s Brunson with it. He brings it up for the New York Knicks. They’ve led by as many as 14. Towns taking his time here. And they get it back. Back to Brunson. Just five to shoot. Over Jones. Kept alive. Anobi and he dunks it down. Can you say immediate entry into the highlight reel? Woo! What a dunk, PA. It’s showtime now, man. They’ve built up a lead and they’re starting to rub it in. Now here’s Williamson outside. Jones fires the three. Towns with a rebound. New York leading by 11. Well, Grant, the 2025 season was sort of a return to form for Carl Anthony Towns. Yeah, BA. He just seemed more comfortable out there, right? Getting back to what his numbers used to look like and just playing with reckless abandon. And an obi for three. Basket is good. Off the assist from Brunson. Brunson’s got three assists in the game. And though he has a scores mindset, Brunson willing to make the next pass. Now here’s P. Pass to me. [Applause] Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. Man, the defender really went after him. New Orleans shooting their fifth and six free throws of the game. and he knocks down the first one. Well, he doesn’t get to the line all that often, but Murphy is nailed at the strike. rebound. Hits both from the strike. And we’re just about 2 minutes into the final half of play now. Bridges outside. Towns passes to Anobi. Six on the shot clock. New York working the ball around now. And here’s Brunson from the arc. Mi grabs the board. Mi’s got nine rebounds in the game. Boy, he’s getting it done from 8 ft. Carving out space. Zion. Well, Zion’s so hard to deal with inside and he’ll make the right play almost every time. To the inside. Here’s Robinson and a big finish by Robinson. And this kind of sick slam is just one of the reasons this team is in charge of this game right now. BA, you know, there’s an edge the way they play and a confidence they’re not afraid to show. Now here’s Williamson. Give him eight points now. And Trey Murphy gets the three. He’s got 19. Showing great vision that time. Zion delivers the ball exactly where it needs to be. Outside Anobi. [Applause] Towns outside. Robinson. A screen on Williamson. Here’s Towns and it’s Towns with the power finish. Yeah, this is what makes Towns an Allstar caliber player. He has the ability to take over games by himself. No problems knocking that one down. And he’s really made his mark with the three-pointer today. And that’s another big one. And when you have shooters feeling it from distance, it feels like no lead is safe because points can get put up and hurt. Now here’s Anobi. He’s got 13 to the middle. Oh, deflected. It’s stolen by P. Williamson outside with Mark. Good work defensively by Towns. Well, they know he can finish at the rim, but the defense did just enough to force the miss. Slams it down with two hands. Man, they’re really getting aggressive now. Pelicans trail by 10. P finds Williamson [Applause] and a foul called on the way up. So, he’ll take two from the free throw line. It’s going to go on Mitchell Robinson. And even from where we’re sitting, you could clearly tell it was a foul. And a moment to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from for the Knicks. Well, they’ve been absolutely on fire from deep. And until the defense offers more resistance, the coaches are going to keep encouraging them to let it fly. Yeah. And their team first approach is another thing you have to like. And they’ve had great ball movement and are getting a lot of points off assist. miss. And that’s good as he hits both shots. And so it’s Brunson who brings up the ball for the Knicks. Towns outside. And there’s the rejection. And it’s going to be out of bounds. New York will have another go. And it’s time to take another look at that powerful block. Now that was a block. Some much needed energy there to jump start them back into this game. Towns has screened on Jones. Brunson gets it done. Brunson doesn’t fear going in amongst the trees. Remarkable poise there inside. Williamson with a screen on Anobi. Who’s watching him? Over to the left wing. The basket drops and he gets fouled on the shot. One free throw coming his way. He hears the whistle and he keeps his concentration and is able to knock it down. And after breaking out in his third season and winning a title, Jordan P has struggled to recapture that high level. But last season encouraging Grant. Yeah, it was much more efficient with his shooting, BA. Now, can his defense get back to a championship level? We’ll see. The free throw off from Williamson. Knicks leading by eight. Outside Anobi. Pass to Towns. And here’s Brunson from the arc. That’s in. Coming off an assist from Towns. Towns has got five assists in the game. Pretty much the second Brunson gets the ball, he’s into motion. And that’s how it’s done. Now here’s Williamson. 10 points for him. Clock at six. Pool against Ananobi. Here’s Messi and he elevates for the slam. Mitchell Robinson on the wrong end of that one. Ba, forget about attempting the long range three to cut into that lead. just attacked the rim, my man. Man, that was sweet. Now, here’s Towns. 15 points in the game. Pass to Bridges and the ball goes out of bounds. Last touch by Towns. I don’t know what the heck happened there. That’s just a careless turnover. Alvarado’s checked in for New Orleans. And the Knicks making a change here as well. Harts checked in. Towns against Pool. Here’s Alvarado. Outside Jones. Pass to Pool. Some nice passing by New Orleans here. Robinson with a steal. Towns finds Brunson. Back to Towns from outside the ark and the three falls for Towns. Well, when it comes to Bigman, you’re not going to find a better catch and shoot option than Cats. And so Willie Green decides to call a timeout. He’s going to take a minute to regroup with his players. You have to like what we’re seeing from Carl Anthony Towns. Well, the defense has not been able to slow him down inside. And until they offer some sort of resistance, just keep feeding him the ball. [Applause] Pool against Towns. P outside launches a three. Oh, using that sweet stroke. Pool connects from deep. And P is a guy that feels very comfortable operating beyond the arm to the left side wing. Towns for three. Pelicans cleared away. Jones the pass to Pool. And there’s the whistle. The illegal screen is the call. Well, the league has put an emphasis to crack down on illegal screens. Yeah. And yet we still see it a lot. It’s a tough thing to police. Towns is screened on Jones. Left side Brunson. Pass to Towns. Six to shoot. Out of bounds. It’ll go to the Pelicans. Pelicans trail by nine. Alvarado outside Pool outside and that one is stuffed right through and we all know that Pool has handles but he shook himself open there. Bridges outside. [Applause] Takes the three. Drills it from deep. Bridges has got 12 points in the game. You’re leaving him all alone. Good luck. He’s going to drill that every time. And here’s Alvarado. High five points in the game. Cool with a ball. And it’s Robinson picking him up. Cool. Shot is off. Knicks leading by 10. Bridges outside. Pass to Brunson. Outside Robinson. [Music] Bridges outside. It’s hard on the wing. Off target with the three. And the defense got away with one there. I mean, that’s a shot he typically makes. And he’ll draw the foul. He’ll head to the line for two. It’s going to go on Mitchell Robinson. And he’s made all of his six tries at the line in this one. First free throw is good. New Orleans making some changes. Looney’s checked in for me. Sadique Bay comes in for Jones. And Hawkins subbed in for Pool. New York also changing it up. Yabis comes in for Robinson. And Clarkson subbed in for Towns. And so he hits both. New York leading by eight. Yale the screen. Clarkson outside. Hart from long range. Looney grabs a miss. Looney’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Some nice passing by New Orleans here. Pass to Hawkins. Three-pointer and Bay is good for three. Ba’s got 11 points. Well, maybe not the shot they were looking for there, but the defense gave it to him and he knocked it down. Goes up from the top of the key. Good on the jump shot and the Knicks lead by seven. New Orleans has gone four of seven from three. A good percentage in the third quarter. Pass to Bay. They set the screen and a miss there on the triple. The Knicks shooting about 56% in this one. That shot no good. Come on. You can’t be doing that. I know these guys want to put on a show, but you can’t pass up scoring opportunities. Alvarado, the rebound by Bridges, and it didn’t register as an official block, but he did everything you want in disrupting that shot. Well, you know, sometimes the most pivotal plays don’t always go on the statue to the left wing to the paint. Here’s Bay and he drops in the layup off the glass. 13 points in the game. The defense meets Bay inside, but he stays cool and gets it to go. Bridges outside this one for three. Looney grabs the miss. Pelicans trail by five. May passes to Alvarado. Here’s Hawkins. Knocks it down from distance. Hey, they rely on Hawkins to stretch the floor for them. It’s Bridges on the wing. He’s got 12 [Applause] outside Hart. The three is up. It’s held in by New Orleans. Alvarado with it. Five points in the game and Trey Murphy gets a three. That’s 29 for him. Just incredible. I mean, he’s really making it rain out there, knocking them down one after another. Well, what I love about his three-point shooting is the spacing that he’s adding. It makes things a lot easier for everyone else. And so it’s Trey Murphy making highlights for New Orleans. Doing some damage from deep. He now has five three-pointers in the game. More 2K action in just a moment. Heat. Heat. And a moment now as we take a look at our State Farm assist of the game. You know, I’m kind of stoked this was a choice because I love this pass. A remarkable find. He put his court vision on full display. Yeah, he puts that pass right on the money and made things look easy for his teammates. And with these teams locked in a very close contest, this fourth quarter promises to be a good one. And on the floor for New York here in the fourth, we’ve got OG Anobi. Carl Anthony Towns is out there with Josh Hart. Then it’s Jordan Clarkson. And it’s McBride in at the one. And so it’s Williamson who brings up the ball for New Orleans. It’s a one-point game. [Applause] Bay outside from behind the ark and it’s New York with a rebound. Towns has got eight rebounds in the game. Hart finds Clarkson. Towns a screen on Williamson. [Music] Pass to McBride from deep. Zion Williamson grabs the miss. The Pelicans shooting it with confidence. 54% so far. [Applause] And so he draws the foul. Headed to the line to shoot a pair. Forcing his way to the free throw line. Zion is so tough to handle. So strong and athletic. That’s good from Williamson. [Applause] [Music] And so he’s able to get one of two. Could have taken the lead there, but instead they’re going to have to settle for the tie. Outside McBride out to the right wing outside. Anobi lets the three fly. It’s called in by New Orleans. Looney’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. Williamson outside. Clarkson grabs a miss. New York has gone 0 for two from outside here in the fourth quarter. Hart finds Towns. New York again. Can’t hit. Here’s New Orleans now. Williamson outside and he powers it down. Right on. Carl Anthony Towns. Wow. Defying the laws of physics. Zion Williams. McBride passes to Anobi. Kicks it out. Towns. Here’s the three. New York again. Can’t hit. New Orleans in the lead. Alvarado outside. Pass to Bay. Some nice passing by New Orleans here. Williamson for three. They get it back. Oh, look at Looney at the rim. And now that’s a momentum builder for sure. So important in a close game. Look at his teammates here. They love it. Plays like that going to get them going. Yes, some guys shrink in big moments and some rise to the occasion. Here’s Towns. Fires from deep again. The miss by Towns. At this point, I’m not sure if it’s the play calling or the player himself. Back to Looney, pass to Williamson. Alvarado outside, fires for three. Hart pulls it in. Hart’s got five rebounds tonight. A nice shot by Hawkins. I love the decisiveness from Hawkins. He’s skilled at realizing when he should shoot off the catch. A look at the clock. A little under three and a half minutes gone by in the fourth to stop the run and it’s thrown down hard with both hands. Oh, the handles from Jordan Clarkson. Pass to Hawkins. The three is up. gets rebounded by New York. Towns outside and it’s New York scoring again. Fantastic move right there by Towns. I like when he gets creative with his ball handling. Now here’s Bay. Back to Alvarado. [Applause] Williamson outside from the arc and Anobi pulls it down. Knicks trail by three. Outside McBride. Clarkson outside. [Applause] Towns outside to tie it up. Gets the three ball to go. Towns has got five points in the quarter. Few bigs do it as well as Towns. stretching the floor with his efficiency for money. Hawkins can’t get it to go and Towns has got the ball here for the New York Knicks. They’ve given up just eight points in the fourth. Alvarado outside Looney passes to Bay. Williamson inside. McBride covers. Four on the clock. Here’s Bay. No good. Unable to win this run. New York has gone just one of six from downtown in this final quarter. Towns outside. Pass to Anobi. Here’s McBride. Well, the Pelicans shooting 27% here in the fourth. Here’s Alberado. And again, New Orleans no good. I know he’s on a cold streak, but he can’t let that get in his head. Yeah, they might want to draw something up here to get him something at the rim or get him to the free throw line. Sometimes that’s all it takes to snap a cold streak. Anobi passes to McBride. Hart from long range. It’s called in by New Orleans. Williamson looking around. They set a pick. shoots. A nice shot by Hawkins. Hawkins has got five points now this quarter. Well, when you move the ball, you open up the defense. Great job to make the unselfish play. And it’s Mike Brown calling timeout here. No doubt he’s going to utilize the opportunity to make sure they’re all on the same page here. And New Orleans will go for a different look here. Mei, he’s checked in for Looney. Jones comes in for Bay. Trey Murphy, he’s checked in for Hawkins. And it’s Jordan P in for Alvarado. New York also changing it up. Mitchell Robinson, he’s checked in for Hart. Bridges comes in for Anobi. And Brunson is subbed in for McBride. Time now to hear from our reporter Ally Leforce. Thanks, guys. I got a chance to hear what Mike Brown was saying to the team. He was very passionately telling his team, “Don’t give them an inch when they have the ball. This game is going to come down to defense. I need you guys to work hard and close this one out, guys.” And Ally, thank you for that. Brunson, count the basket and the foul. It’s going to go on Jordan Pool. And I like it. I mean, using the strong frame, Brunson pushes through the foul and sinks the shot. Anobi, he’s checked in for Clarkson. Mind the lanes. Mind the lanes. One shot. And now they lead as the free throw drops in for him. And it’s the Pelicans with the ball. [Applause] Williamson right side. [Applause] And there’s a whistle. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. Well, Zion is such a problem for any defense. You can’t help but use a foul to try and slow him down. Two shots. Big. No good on that one. On the miss. Let’s push it on the miss. He hits the second from the line. The Knicks have gotten five of 12 shot attempts to go so far in the fourth quarter. Back to Brunson. Towns outside. New York working the ball around now. Outside Brunson. He drains it as the shot clock ticks down. Brunson’s got 12 points here in the second half. Able to keep his cool. Brunson doesn’t let the clock force his shot. [Applause] Kicks it out to Williamson. [Applause] And that one goes in as he’s fouled. It’ll be three points if he converts the free throw. Miss [Applause] New York trailing. Pass to Ananobi. [Applause] Outside Robinson. Here’s Bridges. Towns on a screen. Shot clock at six and an obi for three left side. Robinson. It’s Bridges on the wing. Kicks it out to Anobi. And the three-pointer goes. And the Knicks lead by two. This is the very definition of a back and forth contest. Yes. Neither side taking its foot off the gas. I’m expecting a spectacular finish. Now here’s Mi and he loves it up top and stolen by Brunson. Pool against Ananobi. Towns outside. Oh, it’s blocked by Williamson. Such a powerful denial. Zion wanted that shot completely erased. on the miss. And the first one at the line is good. And you have to admire the confidence that P plays with. He wouldn’t be where he is without it. And both free throws good for P. And so it’s Brunson with it. He brings it up for the New York Knicks. Outside Bridges. There’s a screen. Towns outside. Towns double team. Now Brunson. 17 footer is in. I mean towards the end of the game, you want Brunson out there and he can do some special things for you. And we’ve got a timeout called by Willie Green. Coach clearly has something he wants to say to his team right now. Let’s go. Let go. Set it up. Set it up. Bring the play in. Now Williamson pool outside and the officials will call the illegal screen here. Tough one. In a game where every possession is valuable, turnovers can make the difference. The Knicks with the lead now. Here’s Brunson. Towns outside for free. The three is in. Well, in a big moment, go to your big man. Towns can be so dominant when he needs to be. I’m with you. One shot. [Applause] And that one falls for Towns. Well, when you’re big can contribute from the line like Towns, you got to like your chances. [Applause] Williamson against Robinson. Towns ripped down the board. Knicks leading by six now. Robinson outside. Brunson. [Applause] Towns on a screen. Here’s Bridges from downtown. Can’t get it to go. Yeah, you know, he usually makes you pay from that range. Williamson against Bridges. Williamson right side. can’t get it. New York shooting around 50% of the game so far. And now New Orleans on the break. Wow. Oh my goodness. Oh, he leaves no question. And that’s exactly what you want from Ping unselfish and finding the open man. Now here’s Brunson outside. Oh, missed on the trade. Pelicans trail by four. Pool outside. Six on the shot clock. There’s a screen. He shoots. Passes it in. Whoa. That is as clutch as it gets. Big time play. Yeah. Don’t you just love to see a player embrace that kind of pressure? Now here’s Brunson. Bridges. Booyah. He sinks the triple. You cannot say enough about Bridges stepping up when they need him most. Here’s Williamson. Important possession here. Yeah, we’ll see how they execute under pressure. Jones jacks up a three, buries it from outside. This really speaks to Jones mental toughness that he’s able to get the big bucket when they need it. And they foul intentionally now. They’re going to have to do that again. They’re not in the penalty just yet. And he commits the intentional foul. Yeah. And that was a smart move. I mean, you have to foul right there. You just don’t want them to run out the clock. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Applause] So, the first one drops and that makes it a three-point lead. So, he goes two for two at the line and it’s a four-point ball game. Well, that’s outstanding execution in a big spot. He showed a lot of poise at the line right there. New Orleans calls timeout. They trail by four. What do you think is going to be their best move at this point? Searching for a fast bucket than a way to stretch things out. Yeah. And then they have to foul quickly and hope for some misses at the line. Bridges against Jones. Oh, off target from downtown. And they need to stop the clock. So there’s the foul. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Good on the first and that puts him up five and he hits both free throws here and it’s a six-point ball game. And that’ll just about do it. Coming through at the line in a big spot, Jones. So, New York wins it and they barely squeezed out the win here on the road. NBA, the visiting team is always under some added pressure, but they made it work and got the win, whatever the margin may have been. And that’s going to do it tonight folks for our broadcast for Grant Hill, Alli Leforce, and Coach Dan Van Gundy. This is Brian Anderson. Thank you for watching the NBA on 2K Sports. And now let’s take a look at our player of the game, Carl Anthony Towns.
