MSL: The Braveheart of the Canadiens
We do the Habs headlines coach the big headlines and you will always start the number one with that let you do it. MSL Nui Habs Braveheart. So we got Nui here with the blue the blue face paint like William Wallace from Braveheart Freedom just you know hyping all the guys up. I just had inspiration to kind of put this together, coach. Like I don’t know if you saw it, they released another little mini documentary u you know the last couple days with M Seui giving a pumpup speech to all the all the the rookies one year ago today like with the rookies coming in for the for the rookie camp. Your life after hockey is longer than your life in hockey. So you got to go all in. How bad do you want it? I to me like I throw a ball of this room. I’m like, “All right, whoever walks out of here with this ball, you’re on the team, you know.” Yeah. Talent helps. Of course it does. Okay. Attitude, workout day. What’s your edge? What is it? What’s your edge? When you go to the gym or you’re shooting pucks in the garage or you do your skates in the summer, that ball’s in play and you’re not like competing against the guys that that you’re trying to make, the Canadians. You’re by yourself sometimes. Do you understand that? That ball’s in play all the time because motivation stop at 6:00 in the morning. Discipline begins. When the alarm goes off, it’s discipline. It’s not motivation. Motivation will play 1% in your success. Who’s good at getting better? It’s not who’s the best now. Who’s good at getting better each and every day? because that ball’s in play. Okay, have fun out there. Want to wish you a great summer and I’m sure I hope to see some of you guys um the next three four years be a part of the Canadians. Okay, all the best. And what a what a great speech talking about how, you know, um if I was to throw a ball and only one of you could make the team, you have to remember that, you know, um there’s a difference between competition and discipline. competition is only going to be about one or two% of when you know of of how you’re going to be successful because you’re you’re in competition when you’re on the ice or you’re in the gym with other guys. But the rest of the time when you’re not competing and when the lights are not on you, it’s all about discipline. And my favorite line in that thing, coach, was he saying it’s not about who is the most talented or has the most skills right now. It’s about who’s better at getting better, man. Like Musi does, he never never never stops dropping pearls of wisdom, pearls of absolute motivation, uh, philosophies, like a little Buddha, right? Like a a little hockey Buddha. But, uh, you know, he’s, you know, coach, we’ve talked about it. We know Nick Suzuki is the captain. We know there’s great leaders on that team. But you can you still at this point have no doubt that the true you know leader uh you know of the Montreal Canadians uh is Marti and uh really excited like sometimes coach like I know I know sometimes people here they they tease me for being you know conservative and maybe a little too critical but sometimes you just have to kind of stop and pinch yourself about how exciting it is right now. right now guys like before the season starts have you felt this excited for the start of a of a season you have Maltui he was voted you know nominated for coach of the year people are starting to talk about Kent Hughes as GM of the year daily faceoff had um a post on ex you know with Kent Hughes’s picture as maybe the best GM in the league so guys we have Demid off like so many things to be excited but I just wanted to kind of have something here about Main Sui the Scottish the William Wallace the brave heart of the Montreal Canadian. I think you’re right. We bring some kind of the vibes and refreshing around the Montreal Canadian but the way he talk about certain things and if you want to have a really good much better but I think Martin is the right guy to do that. I think for me I always have a you know I was talking about the people that when I was coaching I always said you know talk about the the word disciplin but I was said you know it’s when you come here and you pop the the you know the gym and you do all the you wait and everything you push the shoulder and everything but that’s great and I love it but I don’t know when you nobody watch you at 5:00 a.m. what do you do or at 6:00 a.m. you do. That’s what the really the discipline start right there. It’s one nobody watch you and uh if you have a great work at sick that would make it there friends right there. MSL: The Braveheart of the Canadiens
Last night on the Habs Hump Day Show, Marko dropped his headline segment and called Martin St. Louis the Braveheart of the Canadiens. He pointed to the fiery speeches MSL gave to the young Habs prospects — moments that show why he’s more than just a coach, but a true leader inspiring the future of this team.

one for sure, he got the respect of all his players and habs direction.
good day coach
I read his biography when he first came to Habs, exceptional man.
As well as Kent Hughes.
I'd put Kent Hughes up there right next to him.
The rest of the league is paying attention!
Whatever a player can go through from the bottom of the dumps struggling in the minors to get noticed by the big league one day to being the MVP, awards winning, Stanley Cup Campion MSL can relate. Nothing was handed to Marty and if you show that fight and drive he will on your side and make you the best you can be ❤
Although we love and appreciate him, I've never heard one single fan call him Braveheart.
